Crush the King is for sale on Kindle for 1.99

Here is another rec for
Cursed Luck - I did this as a serial while it was being written and just revisited it in audio and liked it both times. I thought the curse worker and luck worker magic was cool, along with the mythological tie in (like Waverly mentioned) and I liked the leads - I am looking forward to more.
Waverly wrote: "DemetraP: I enjoyed that one, too!!
If you haven't already, head to the spin-off "friends" series set in the same universe, beginning with The Sea Dragon's Lion. It's pretty dang ..."You must be psychic, you answered my question while i was writing it:)
DemetraP wrote: "I enjoyed the Master Shark's Mate. It was very funny. Reads fine as a stand alone.
The heroine is a grandmother with gray hair and a coyote shifter.
"Thanks for the rec. I am a sucker for the big scary deeply lonely guy who is willing to sacrifice his own happiness for the happiness of his mate - the making a memory bit had me teary.
The Atlantians with cameos obviously had their own book, was this hero a side character in their books. How about granny coyote was she in another series - I think I saw mention that this was a crossover.

Did you guys know that there are several other books series set in the Sinful/Fortune Redding universe? Apparently DeLeon opened up her world to other writers when they we doing kindle universes. I may check out the one with Ida belle and gertie in the 60's

I just read three books in this KU series back to back and thought they were good enough to mention - the first is
Brimstone Bound - the lead is almost through with her detective training in London when she is murdered and resurrects and her first case is to solve her own murder and a couple others - she works for a division that liases with supernaturals. I thought these were interesting and I liked her, she's not the typical smart mouthed UF herione.

I just finished the latest story in the Spiked series
Shattered - I think someone here rec'd it and I am enjoying it, it's nice to find new KU series to follow, especially since there are fewer main stream pubbed ones to follow and finding new releases seems so much more challenging since my go to sources (RT and Wicked Scribes are no more)
Hope everyone is doing well in this new weird world of ours.
Vanessa wrote..."i listen to the Rockton books, i can justify the credit price while I have problems with the kindle price too - plus I like the reader.

Takes a bit of getting used to with the world building and there's a lot of killing. I just love Lisbeth (main ..."I just finished listening to the third book too and I also really enjoyed these. She really is great. After reading book 2, I had tracked down what i thought was a connected short and it turned to be the short that grew into book 1 - just a FYI
But since I did enjoy the series i am thinking of trying Harris' other series ( the one that wasn't the vampire one). Have you (or anyone) read that?

I thought the Boaz short was a fine beginning, and would like to see more of him and Addie. I never shipped him and Grier, I was always team Linus, so I didn't have an issue with him - he was just a side character which is fine with me.

I am still catching up on books that I preordered - my work life zapped all my reading time for the last 2 months, i am like 20 books behind on my goodreads 2021 challenge.
I just finished
Master of Storms - this is probably book 6 in the series and was a strong entry to the series with a good lead in to the next book.
Junkyard Bargain - was also good, if you don't mind patter about weapons and tactics - i wonder if faith hunter bas a military background

I finally got to the latest Rockton book and enjoyed it, hopefully the series isn't wrapping up yet. I also read an ARC that I really enjoyed
The Soulmate Equation - I have liked all of this author duos recent stuff.
So now I'm debating if I want to read the two latest Dresden books - I have both from the library and my hubby and daughter are reading them, but I am finding that I am having some mental resistance to picking back up the series after all this time

Work life has been crazy and eating into my reading time (retiring sounds really great about now ) so I am behind on my reading and listening too.
I didn't realize these were out already:
Junkyard Bargain second book in faith hunter's newer series, this might be audio only first and was one of those included in your membership books. Also the new Incryptid book is out
Calculated Risks.
I just finished
Forged which was a good wind up for the big finish coming at the end of the year - this one kept Alex in motion the whole time.

I finished
The Last Warrior - its nice when the lonely guy gets a much appreciated HEA. I have been so busy with work that I haven't gotten much reading in, so this a really nice light comfort read.

I just finished
The Awakening - i like when her stories spend time in ireland -it's clear she loves the country. I really enjoyed this the lead i so joyful as she breaks out the dreary box that is her life and discovers she is so much more, that joy of discovery is very appealing. And even though deadly danger is on the horizon, her pleasure in all the new things made me smile while reading this. Unlike many of Roberts trilogies this will follow the same leading lady throughout

The first three hidden legacy kindle books are on sale for 2.99
Burn for Me,
White Hot,
Wildfire.

I am still working on Dirty Deeds. One of the faith hunter shorts was Liz and Eli(!). Got some of his POV - loved that (Jane appears briefly) . And there was a separate short overlapping in time with the Everhart mom.
DemetraP wrote: "I heard from the Patricia Briggs Facebook fans group that Asil will get a third dating short story in some anthology this year. No release date yet.
I loved the first two Asil dating short stories."Great news, I loved them too.

There's a new anthology,
Dirty Deeds: An Urban Fantasy Collection, out this week with a Faith Hunter short -looks maybe for one of the Everhart sisters, a Devon Monk story from her Ordinary series and also stories from Diane Pharoh Francis and RJ Blain.
I've only read the Ordinary one so far - actually it was a twofer since there is a little quicky from Thanos' POV and death vs the dragon pig was fun.
