I have had a lot of luck with sales from Facebook release parties. This is my first Facebook hop that I have tried. I have been a guest at them before and they are a blast! You will be able to put any restrictions on your giveaway that you want. After I hear back from all the interested participants next week, I will send you an email with an outline for the post you will display with an intro paragraph, the link for the stop that follows yours, and a list of participants. After the intro paragraph, you will be able to insert a paragraph with the rules for your giveaway and prize info. I know I already have it, but could you go ahead and pm me the link to your Facebook page and your email so I don't over look you when I am putting my list together? Thanks!

Also, the Facebook hop is for authors of picture books, early reader books, and grade school age chapter books!

Reading is Fun Facebook Hop.
I have an opportunity that I would like to extend to all of you. I am hosting something called a facebook hop. A facebook hop is when bunch of authors with a common cause work together to create an exciting event with prizes and to bring new views to their author pages. I want to bring awareness to the importance of childhood literacy. I am planning to host it on July 13 at 7am central time through July 14 at 11:59pm central time. If you are a children's book author and interested in participating, you would need to post a message at the top of your author page during those days. You would also offer some form of a giveaway on your page within that same post. You can choose any requirements you want for people to enter that giveaway. Examples would be "like my author page", participate in a game in the comments section, sign up for your mail list, etc. It is up to you what you would like to giveaway as well, such as a free ebook, a $5+ amzaon gift card, a free ebook to everyone and request they leave a review if they enjoy it, or anything else. Just keep in mind shipping as people will be participating around the world. If you are interested in participating, here is what I need from you at this time (please private message me):
1. Your author name and a link to your facebook author page. I will also take a blog page if you blog about children's books with a link to the page that you will place the post on during the event.
2. Your email address. I will email all the participants the outline for what you will post during the facebook hop as well as the link to the page that follows yours on the hop.
Please private message me your info by June 14th then comment below so I can make sure I received your message. Also, please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!

Thank you! Welcome back Angel!

We would also appreciate any shares you would like to throw our way to help us reach as broad of an audience as possible. There are share buttons at the bottom of the survey. ;)

Hello everyone! I am helping promote a survey about children's picture books that will help give indie authors insight into the world of their audience. If you have a few minutes, can you please follow the link below to complete the survey. At the end you will be entered into a drawing for an awesome prize pack. If you are a children's book author yourself, we would love to hear from you, but please disclose that in the comments section of the survey. Thank you for your help!!

I am really digging your new covers. Very nice!

Congratulations Ted! That is great news!

Heartbreaking for sure...

I see it at great attention to detail which is a quality of an awesome author. ;)

Speaking from an American standpoint, there are typical grammar and spelling signs that indicate to me when a book has not been translated to "American English". When I see these, I never count them as "mistakes". Unfortunately, there are people out there who don't recognize those signs and will comment. That is their error though. I don't think I would realize "ss" is a British English spelling (I will now), but if you had other British English characteristics, I would most likely assume that is the case. Hope this helps. :)

Bwahaha! Sam and Carole, you crack me up! Thank you for the fantastic and thorough advice Catherine. I have set up my website already, but will consider this info for the future. I am glad you posted it so others can benefit from your suggestions too. :)

That IS good news R.L.! Bet you really had to think long and hard on that one. ;)

Congrats Mary Ellen and Alex! Great news for you both!

I liked Eldon's article as well! I pretty much only give free copies away as prizes or as a donation to libraries, hospitals and schools. :)

Finally got a chance to sit down and read the new edition. Love it! Off to share now. :)
