I would not consider myself successful by any means, but I am finding exactly what Carole said to be true. Take all the opportunities you can to get your name our there. The more people see your book, the more intrigued they will be. There is also an amount of luck involved. You have to hope the right people will see it at the right time.

That was a recent discovery for me. It is a significant savings over time! :)

Do you use Media mail for your books or something else? I have been using Media mail when I can, given I don't have a rush on something.

I had been considering postcards since I can do 4 to a page. I forgot about the special postcard postage! Thanks for the reminder Carole. :)

Thanks, Carole! I definitely needed that boost this week. :)

Had a local artists and authors event today at my hometown library. We had a great turn out and I moved a fair amount of books! AWESOME DAY!!!!

Yes please! Will send you a PM. :)

I plan to take some of mine around to universities with speech clinics in the fall. Being in the St. Louis area, we are saturated with them. Speaking from experience, already practicing SLPs already have their go to resources, most of which they picked up in clinicals. I am hoping this will be a good opportunity to introduce future SLPs to my series while they are still compiling their resource list. :)

Wow Alex, keep up the good work! There are a lot people on vacation over here in the US so sales are probably down from that. School will start again in a few weeks though which will bring people back to normal routines. Continued luck!

I read A Brief History of the Doves Press Type as well. Very interesting! I am glad they were able to recover many of the metal sorts.

I am not a big fan of sending out my PDF for that reason. I normally pay to gift and ebook or send a hardcopy. I just want to add to be careful about some of the shady sites that would have your book listed and shouldn't and even some of the sites claiming to search for pirated copies. Some of these sites could have viruses attached.

I use the Segoe font family as well for the same reason. :) Great minds!

*joins happy dance* congrats Alex!

Congrats on the downloads, Amy! Hopefully you get some fans out of the promotion.

This is some great info! I think Ingram spark does ebooks but I have never used them for that. Looks like there is a $25 set up fee for just ebook, $49 for ebook and print. They do offer free set up specials throughout the year so watch for those promos. They claim they distribute to:
