We were about 15 minutes north of the path of totality. I would have gone south but was worried my 2 year old might look. Since it happened in the early afternoon she was taking a nap and I was able to enjoy it with my husband and 4 year old. Still a neat experience to even see a partial eclipse.

Very cool. I am glad she was able to experiece it. My 4 year old had a blast! It was a great teaching opportunity. The eclipse created a haunting looking haze where I live. The birds stopped singing and the crickets began chirping. At one point, I pulled out my Indian flute and played a bit. A hummingbird came right over to me while I was playing and stayed for about 3 minutes until it started thundering. I will definitely be heading south in 2024 to try to be in the path of totality.

We are hoping skies stay clear here. There is a chance for overcast skies later. I hope not. Especially for people who traveled internationally!

I can't believe all the people pouring into the St. Louis area for eclipse 2017! Wish I could have traveled to the path of totality, but I don't trust my 2 year old enough not to look. I figured 99.6% eclipsed from home would be good enough. :) I am excited to journal the experience for future books. Is anyone else in a viewing path?

Thanks, Judy!

I would like to participate Kay! I also read and review books on my personal Goodread's page as well as Amazon. :)

I actually found a copy at my library. I will be sure to grab a Kindle copy so I can leave a verified purchase review. Great book and it has something for everyone; whether you are starting out or have been at this a little while. If you haven't read it go get a copy! :)

Thank you Angel, Carole and Alex! I know it isn't a huge amount when split between 4 books, but it is a pretty good start and made my week. :)

I know this is minimal compared to many of you, but I am pretty excited. All four of my books combined have hit 30 ratings on Goodreads! :)

Not sure if they are still accepting books, but check it out and keep an eye on them for new opportunities. :)

Are we participating in the same shows as last year? If so, is it too early to send books for shows at the beginning of next year?

I like it Amy!

I had no idea you had to set up different accounts for each country. Will add to my ever growing to-do list. :)

Sorry to hear that, Amy. That is frustrating. It has been a while since I have sent a group email, but I think there is an option to send a test email to yourself first. Don't quote me on that though.

That's awesome, Alex!

I think the stuffed penguins are a great idea! I have been looking into doing something similar with mine. Be sure to let us know what works for you and doesn't. :) Wishing you the best of luck!

Thanks Ted! I will check it out. :)

I only accepted cash. I take about 10-15 books each. I include tax with mine and Mark them at a price that is easy ($10 or $15). I then offer a discount of $5 if someone buys 3. I find a lot of people that will buy 2 will buy a 3rd if there is a discount. I tried discounts before if someone bought 4 books without a good response. I tend to sell more books at a $10 price than $15. At $15, people typically buy 1 book. At $10 they are more likely to buy 2. Hope this helps! :)
