Seeking some honest reviews or feedback. Your efforts will be highly appreciated.
[bookcover:Life in Shackles|..."Grabbed my copies! I am a bit behind on my TBR list, but I will leave you reviews when I finish them.

Wow Alex! Fantastic! Wishing you continued progress with your sales. :)

Haha, that's an easy enough to remember site address. Thanks, Carole!

I feel like I have heard of an organization that puts books on subways too, but I haven't looked into that. If anyone knows what I am talking about and has any information about it, please let us know. :)
Margaret wrote: "We have several Little Free Libraries around here (Chanhassen, MN), often just out in front of someone's house. They're awesome!"I had seen images of them floating around online, but this was the first time I saw one in person. I was thrilled to see it being used by kids and parents too!

The one I saw today was part of the Little Free Library organization:

I was at the park today with my kids when I noticed some kids and parents standing around a post with a box. I realized that the local park had recently placed a Library box filled with books for kids and parents to take and return when they are done. What a great way to encourage reading! And it was getting a lot of attention. The marketing area of my brain lit up to think, what a great way to raise awareness for your book if you are an author while encouraging people to read. I know there are a lot of other organizations around the world that do similar things so I thought we could start a thread listing ones we have heard of along with links for more info.

*Doing a happy dance* My interview with Reading with your Kids podcast just went live! The actual interview starts at about 09:50. Here it is if you are interested:

Can you post the link for your FB page or for the launch party? :)

That's my plan too!!! Haha

I completely understand Amy. I am paranoid too. I feel that most people won't go for no name free books sites though for risk of viruses. Or at least I hope not.

Great interview Carole. Commented and shared :)

Welcome back Erin! Glad you got a chance to spend time with friends. :) Was that your first trip to China? What was the highlight of your trip, besides seeing friends of course? ;)

Thank you Alex and Angel. It's just frustrating to put a lot of time and work into something and see no major results. Just trying to keep my mind focused on enjoying the journey and awesome people I meet. It's still hard at times though.
Children's Books Author and Illustrators is a Facebook group with a lot of involved illustrators. I believe there are some illustrator lists on Goodreads too. Carole may know.

I would not consider myself successful by any means, but I am finding exactly what Carole said to be true. Take all the opportunities you can to get your name our there. The more people see your book, the more intrigued they will be. There is also an amount of luck involved. You have to hope the right people will see it at the right time.
