Congrats , Ted! I would love to read it. Will it be available to the public or inly members?

I have had a lot of luck with library fairs when there are multiple authors in attendance! My kids books have been a big hit. Make sure to have something at your table as a free giveaway to draw the kids over. While they are picking out what they want, you have a chance to engage the parents. Stickers, suckers and little party bubble containers have been my biggest hits. At my last one, I was the only children's book author and it played to my advantage. It was my best sales event yet! I would say do it. :)

That is fantastic news Alex and Eldon! Congrats to you both!

Nat, I completely agree. In college, I originally pursued a degree in music performance and education. I started the degree program because I loved music, but the more it became a job, the less I enjoyed it until I got to the point I didn't even want to pick up an instrument. When I began writing, I told myself that I would not make that mistake again. I set out knowing that it wouldn't become a full time job for me, but I at least hoped to make back what I put into it. I am finding more and more that is not the case and have been trying to refocus my mindset on enjoying writing again. If I am not enjoying it, then I have lost the point of writing.

Thank you for sharing Chrys and Ellis. Very encouraging advise. :)

To me, no matter what is going on in my life, I am always happy to celebrate a friend's success. :) I enjoy hearing your good news and am sure many others feel the same way.

Thank you for everything you do R.L.! This is such a wonderful way to support authors with advertising opportunities and incredible advise. I love this magazine and am glad to hear it is growing!

Alex- I cant even express how happy I am for you. I am wishing you continued success!
Aislinn- I completely understand what you are going through. I have been back and forth on that thought myself. Everytime I get a new opportunity to promote (paid and free), I get my hopes up. Then when I see the flat lines on my sales graphs, my heart sinks. I have decided to stick with free promotions for now, unless it is a very unique opportunity, and focus on having fun writing, my family and my "real" job. I can't imagine giving up writing completely because it is a big part of me and I enjoy meeting other authors and readers.

Another great issue! Sharing. The theme in this one came at a good time for me. :)

Thanks, Carole. I wrote them. :)

No judgement here. I do the same thing. :) Gives me a boost when I am feeling in a slump with my books.

Still thinking, but the more I read it, the more I like what you already have. If the relationship is two sided, maybe use a statement describing the depth of their love instead of "as her pursues her"? That is being very nit picky though. Great blurb!

That's great Nat! Take a screenshot. ;)

I like the first one better as well. It is really good and I am no blurb expert either so please take this with a grain of salt, but maybe there is a way to make it seem a little less generic. Like I said though, it is VERY good the way it is. I will think about it and get back to you. :)
