193869 You'll hear about this on the show this week, but I read a TON of Star Wars comics (the new Marvel stuff). All I can say is:

GRAKKUS THE HUTT IS THE BEST SIDE-VILLIAN EVER.

193869 I would guess that's a coincidence. Marvel comics on Kindle have been fluctuating wildly the last 6-12 months.

193869 Being a CU subscriber, I'm way more willing to try these books. So I'll definitely read 1-2 of them at least just to see what they're about.

193869 Happy Pride Month IRCBers! What did you think of Nimona? Any inspiration to check out Noelle Stevenson's other work?

193869 I read all 12 issues of Extremity and it was by far one of the best choices I've made this year. This book is like Mad Max meets high fantasy with constant action, enough heartbreak to make you tear up, and lots of "what the?!" moments.

I loved this series. It's very bloody and action-oriented, but on the whole it was an impressive book. Daniel Warren Johnson is unbelievably talented. His linework on this series is intricate and never feels lazy. One issue opens with two HUGE two-page spreads that I easily spent 10 minutes looking at. SO MUCH happens in this book just through the art.

I highly recommend this series to folks who want that same Mad Max: Fury Road action-packed sort of feel. This book rules.

I'm definitely waiting for trade with this one. I liked #1, but I need more in one go if I'm going to keep up on this book.

Barrier is already fully available in digital, just not on comiXology - http://panelsyndicate.com/comics/barrier

193869 That DC sale is dangerous... I picked up a lot of the Young Animal stuff I was missing, plus Black Canary, Volume 1: Kicking and Screaming, Black Canary, Volume 2: New Killer Star, and Super Sons Vol. 2: Planet Of The Capes... whew...

193869 Definitely gotta nom one of my favorite runs of a DC book: Constantine: The Hellblazer, Volume 1: Going Down by Ming Doyle, James Tynion IV, and Riley Rossmo.
193869 Robert wrote: "I wasn't feeling it with volume one. Just felt like a slow moving "fake" superhero story. Since I had already read Vol 1 before it was nominated for BOTM, I picked up Vol 2. It was better."

Glad to hear you kept with it! I also recommend the side story: Sherlock Frankenstein and the Legion of Evil, Vol. 1

Fatale is great!! His Criminal series is fantastic too!
193869 Jolinda - I think Marvel is ending All-New Wolverine because Logan-Wolverine is coming back but also because they’re launching a new #1 with a new creative team:

193869 Wayland, just read the latest New Mutants: you are correct. Boom Boom and Rictor are some of my favorites from other books (Nextwave: Agents of HATE and X-Factor, respectively). I’m so happy to have them in a book together!
