I found Julia an interesting character. She certainly fell in love with Winston rather suddenly, but was it real? Julia is turned very quickly too. Orwell doesn't tell us what her "worst thing ever" was, but she has a scar across her forehead. Maybe a lobotomy?

Can you think of more examples of how our current world matches Orwell's vision?
