Just started this book and was pleasantly surprised that it begins in Toronto, my home town. The locations mentioned are well-known landmarks which I have often visited and brings back lots of fond memories. I'm sure the story will take flight soon, but so far, it's a great read!
I nominate The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter by Carson McCullers, (359 pages) first published in 1940.And I second The Woman in White.

An entertaining and thought-provoking story. I wonder whether Nora will build her life with all of the best aspects she encountered in her experiences. There are hints that this would happen, like contacting Ash and getting a dog.Personally, I felt the ending was uplifting and it made me happier. Just the ticket for this never-ending lock-down.
Hi Christy! You have seconded your own nomination of Gulliver's Travels, so I will remove it.Also, just one nomination per month, so I will remove Arabian Nights for now. You can try it again next month, though. It's a great book!
