Interesting blog post, thanks Susan! Didn´t know any of them. :)

I just started it, and loved Amelia´s determination and funny comments.

Thanks Susan again! I got the rest of the Wentworths I hadn´t got earlier, and The Nickel Boys!

Thanks everyone for the links! When you come to Vienna Susan, I´ll guide you! :)

Murder in Vienna, a late entry in her Robert MacDonald series, ..."It´s still 99p for those wanting to read it! I snapped it, as I love Lorac, and I live in Vienna! :) Thanks Elizabeth!

Will read this, as I´ve been having it on my kindle for a while, and it sounds really good.
Sandy wrote: "I also picked up the last two freebies - also free in US"I also got this one - nice cover! ;)

I like
Joy Ellis, and the title Murder Drama With Your Llama is funny! Thanks Susan!

Ah, they´re the UK links! And yes, they´re different, perhaps depending on the copyright.

Thanks Susan! I never use the app, so I wouldn´t mind book covers, as they often tell me if I´d like the type of mystery. Pity some are not available outside the US.

I love her books too! Lucky you having seen the Lake District!
Susan wrote: "I just finished Dear Reader: The Comfort and Joy of Books
and recommend it highly. Absolutely adored every page. - goi..."I was disappointed by this one: a list of books with a bit of her life inbetween.

Loved the Hornblower series on TV, but haven´t read the book yet (got it as a paperback). :)

How to be an Antiracist was good, though I listened to the audiobook which I found a bit boringly read, though by the author. I´d grab it, as it´s very expensive otherwise.
Shaina wrote: "I just finished Cocaine Blues by Kerry Greenwood. Phryne Fisher is amazing. Loved it! I think I will finish the entire series this year."I recently got this one, as I loved the (parts of the) series, but don´t know when I´ll find time to read it! :P

Btw I linked the wrong Jo Nesbo, it´s not the Polish but the Norwegian author.

The only modern mystery writers I´m reading are historical mysteries like the Cadfael series by
Ellis Peters (already deceased) or the Royal Spyness series by
Rhys Bowen.
Many modern authors I´m seeing here, are either Scandinavian, like
Stieg Larsson or
Jo Nesbo or local mysteries set in Germany or Austria, but there are of course British and American authors too. Curious to hear who others think will last as f.e. spy stories aren´t so common anymore, except Bond by
Ian Fleming, but more through the films than the books.

Loved Long Petal of the Sea, but a pity it´s not cheap at my place.

Thanks Judy, I love her, and hope to read more!
