Welcome Kat, Franky and Chapter! Enjoy the group!

Oh definitely Judy! It´s not that I didn´t have enough to read anyway! ;)

I totally missed this poll, but will not read Somerset Maugham.

Welcome Lucy! The books all sound very interesting! I love British mystery, also the TV series!

Thanks Judy! Will get it from my library! :)

me, too, and I don't see the others ...one more place to check but will probably h..."I only found out now, but I think the books are stand-alones.

I wondered about the servants too! I thought it would perhaps take place in the 20s, if not earlier!
As I mentioned on the other thread I found the beginning very slow, but once the murder was committed, it was better.
I agree about the suspicious husband, and I was sure Richard wasn´t the culprit, as he was mentioned a lot in the beginning.

Thanks Susan! Will try that after I´ve read this one.
And yes, the murder has happened! Looking ahead to the rest!
Judy wrote: "Can I just check, is that a nomination for The Sussex Downs Murder, Michaela?"Yes, if that´s okay, please! I found it when looking for the Lorac mysteries.
Susan wrote: "If you find this a bit dull, Michaela, you might be best to go back to one of the earlier mysteries, when Marsh was - I think - at her best."I will complete this, though the murder hasn´t happened after 28% yet! I understand that it´s supposed to show all the persons (and relations between them) who can be possible suspects, but they are a lot, and it also takes a lot of time.
Anyway, which earlier mystery would you recommend? Thanks!

I´ve read a lot of chapters till now, and the murder hasn´t happened till now (a bit boring), but will soon I guess. Looking ahead to this!

I´d be interested in the Loracs too, though I don´t know if they´re standing alone, as I never read one.
Judy wrote: "Hope you enjoy it, Michaela. We have the second book coming up soon too. :)"Good to hear, thanks! Have to find my way around here yet. ;)

I´ve just detected this, so hope to join in soon, as I´ve long wanted to read the Cadfael novels! :)

We only have a few Marsh mysteries here in the Viennese libraries, and those in German, so I bought False Scent for my kindle, as the physical books are quite expensive. I hope it will be good! ;)

Thanks Judy, hope to jump in in September!

Thanks Judy, I´m sure I will! I also put a question in the Marsh thread, because I would like to try one of her novels.
