I am still working my way slowly through this but really enjoying it. So many interesting characters but

I have finished and thought it was great! Much more unique than I was expecting. In fact, the whole book was not really what I expected at all:

The October-September 2020 Big Read Poll is up!

Very interesting so far - not what I expected so far. All the various anecdotes - usually with our protagonist being falsely accused - are very engaging. I find myself talking back to the book - always a good sign!

I saw this in my feed today - an interesting supplement to the horror list that started this thread.

I see many have begun already!
For those who have not, today is the day!

Eileen wrote: "After listening to this book and also to Boy's Life, I've decided I really love his writing!"It is very good! I am taking this one slowly, but enjoying!

I didn't in high school, but I enjoyed it during my reread this year. Maybe that is because I listened to ..."I think it is the understanding of the story and having seen the movie. Also, I ended up reading a lot of Hemingway and about Hemingway and his relationship with the Fitzgeralds. So, since the first time, I have a lot more points of reference. I can definitely understand you struggling, though - I was there once! :)

Benjamin wrote: "My copy is supposed to arrive tomorrow and I am excited to pick it up!"Awesome! I hope you enjoy!
Janet wrote: "For those interested in the miniseries MoviePlex west(Mplex) is airing it Monday(all four in the series). Since I am almost done with the book I think I will watch it. I saw it years ago and it was..."Thanks for the info - I would like to see the movie version!

I ended up reading the whole thing in one sitting on Saturday. Check out my review for my journey with Gatsby from High School until today:
