I just wish I could get books for more than 14 days from Overdrive - I also hope my hold wait isn't too long!

Good call - I now have a hold placed on Overdrive and at my local library.

I have tried to hunt down a copy. My library doesn't have one so a strike there . . . I actually thought I had a kindle edition after all the random books I get over the years . . . strike two there . . . I am not sure I will have a copy in time to join in at the same time as this discussion, but it is still on my to read list!

Well . . . I signed up on this site, went through the whole list of 623 . . . and I have only read 75! But, I do see a lot of titles on this big list that I am not interested in and will probably never read.
I suppose one person's classic is another person's "meh"

I am tempted to do a Finnegan's Wake Buddy Reads now . . .

Buddy Reads - I've seen these mentioned in other groups, but I have never participated or even looked into one. I got the impression on one group page that the Buddy Reads protocol, while not necessarily strict, does have a set process more than just reading a book that someone else is also reading and talking about it. Is there a more to a buddy read than the basics?

14 - this list is a cool nostalgia find!

Magician: Apprentice is on the list . . . which makes me very happy! Great series!

No . . . this is for real!

How about 623 books - says it is 13 top 100 lists combined!

Just had a thought - start a discussion thread for every book on the list . . . then we could just read them whenever! This is kind of a joke, but maybe kind of a cool idea, too!

Yeah - but Finnegans Wake is worse than the others - I believe experts have been debating the meaning and the point for years. Go look up some quotes - so weird!

28 for me - Harry Potter helped a lot on this one!

15 from the Board list - 29 from the Readers List. I call shenanigans on the Board list simply because it includes Finnegans Wake - which is pure gibberish.

You pick, we accept - you da moderator! :)

I have read 31 of these. Some are indicating the whole series - which makes sense.
