The copy that just came in for me is about three and a half hours long. I will begin the search for the full version!

Well, shoot! I am glad you pointed that out. Looks like the copy I got is abridged. 🙁🙁🙁 And, it also looks like I don't have easy access to an unabridged copy. So, now I have no idea when I will get to this one!

Hold came in! I will be starting on this after the one I am currently listening to for this group (The Age of Innocence). So it will be sometime this week.

Finally ordered my copy today - might be a week or so before I get it. Also, with what I have on my reading plate, this may be a couple month buddy read for me!

Just started yesterday. Easy to follow, but lots of characters and relationships - that is where I will have to focus my efforts on keeping track!

Also, very interesting how paranoid they are about (view spoiler)[ being seen in public with a foreign girl. I don't remember hearing about paranoia like this in other stories I have read. Maybe I just haven't read enough stories set in late 1800s New York upper class society (hide spoiler)]

I did not know that there is a movie, but it does not surprise me. Seems like every classic has one.

My only easy audio option would be to sign up for the free audio trial of Audible. My library only has Kindle with holds.

I have been thinking about starting one for Joy Luck Club as well since it was so close this month.

Who is up for a Joy Luck Club Buddy Read in July? Eileen has already shown interest and I am planning to read it.
