There was mention of doing The Joy Luck Club as a buddy read if people are interested. We do have a seldom used buddy read thread in the Completist group that we could resurrect for that purpose. Feel free to let me know if there is enough interest to do that.

So far, compared to other recent classics I have read, this one is written in a much more palatable fashion. It is interesting and keeping my attention.

I know we talk a lot lately about the quarantine and COVID-19 - I think with that being the case right now, Christopher's fear of crowds and being touched by others really hit home.
I am about halfway through. It is very well written and interesting. The main character stirs many emotions with the way he looks at the world.Warning: If you don't want the Hound of the Baskervilles ruined for you, then don't read this book! He doesn't just reference it, he tells the whole story and then lays out the spoilers as bullet points!
