This is true - it is a pretty hefty book to slump with!
158858 I know that Jessica already saw my review and I have sadly let her down! ;) j/k

Here it is for others to consume - sorry it took me a while to get through it!

No comparison to that - cannot even try. Only comparison is Infinite Jest.

I actually might be quiet worried if you are successful in adjusting your brain to this one! 😉😂🤪

I just accepted that there was very little I could do but go with the flow and accept the oddness - kind of what I did with Infinite Jest.

158858 Kind of a crazy adventure! Not sure exactly what I read . . . so my review is middle of the road. I know that this book is loved by many, and many others are probably partially or fully confused!

Sounds interesting! I am always trying to mix in a few books from outside my norm. Might sound silly but I am reading a Minecraft book to my kids right now. Not a refugee book or a religion, but still different my usual.

Wait, Eric! Was that you in the movie reading the book in the school attic? 😉🤣

Welcome!

You hit the nail on the head - so many must reads that do not spark any interest. But, that's why we feature so many lists. Hopefully something of interest occasionally makes it into the monthly selection.

So awesome to hear you loved it, Liane. Also awesome it took you out of your normal "reading comfort zone" and you found a winner!

I have the sequel to this on my shelf and am excited to get to it someday.

158858 Finished - worked my way through this one twice and had to look up some study guides. But, I enjoyed the experience!
