118012 This year we're adding a new fun thing for you all to add to your personal challenge threads!

These accomplishment badges can be pasted into your challenges with a bit of HTML to make your achievements this year stand out even more! This is super simple and hardly takes any time at all. Whenever you finish a mini challenge, bingo, or readathon, add the badge!

How to add them

1. Write this code where you want your badge to go:

2. Right click the badge you want and click 'Copy image address'

3. Paste the image address in between the "" in your code.

And done!

So it sould look something like this:

Do this for each of the badges you want!

Please note: Depending on your internet connection, the badges might take a while to appear below.

As always, if you have any issues, send me a message or post in the 'Any Questions?' thread!

118012 They're rather late since everything has been really busy, but the polls are now up! You can vote what book you want to read and the winners will be announced on the 3rd.

Sorry for the delay!

118012 Happy 2016!!!

We're in the process of updating the group, so things may be a bit unorganised for today!

And on that note, the polls are now up for the January Reads. I know this is way later than usual, but I honestly absolutely forgot about them so massive apologies!

You can see them here:
World Lit Group Read (South America)
Genre Group Read (Contemporary/Literary Merit)
Alternate Group Read (NF)

Happy New Year again!

118012 Hi Angela,

I know it seems like loads when its all in a list. But I promise you I will make more sense when its all up and running.

Plus, only do what you choose to do. If you want to do mini challenges but not the readathon, youre free to.

And if things are still overwhelming, we have our 'Any Questions?' thread where you're more than welcome to ask questions about things you're confused by.

118012 Finally finally started this! Just under half way through and its so intriguing!

118012 I personally always use Christmas as a way of getting books I've wanted for ages!

Did you guys get any books this holiday season? Anything you were surprised with?

(And a happy holidays to everyone!)
118012 So far I've read 132 pages of We Will Be Shelter, an amazing anthology of poems on various aspects of social justice. It's edited by my favourite poet, so I knew it was going to be good!

I'm also half way through An Uncommon Reader, which I started before the readathon. Would love to get this little book finished today. Its hilarious.

118012 Merry Christmas everyone!

Hope you all have a lovely day!

118012 I haven't read nearly as much as I did last year, which is both disappointing but understanding. Nevertheless, I've read some amazing books this year!

My favourites definitely include: Stoner, Ready Player One, The Martian, Pansy Mr. Penumbra's 24-Hour Bookstore.

Notable mentions are: A Room of One's Own, The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks, Wool and Woman on the Edge of Time

118012 I'm planning on putting up the nomination threads today. Once they've closed (probably on Christmas day), the polls will then go up.

Once the winner has been picked, then it would be great to get someone to come forward.

We're doing the nominations a bit later this month, just because we needed to sort out and release all the 2016 stuff.

Good this clears things up!
118012 That is beyond impressive... Yeah, I can imagine that could fail spectacularly... Did anyone manage to complete it?

If, when you've finished The Iliad, you want to give The Odyssey a go, send me a message or something. I'd love to do it as a buddy read!
118012 I adore both of those books Dora! I might actually start The Odyssey in the new year...

Mrs. Dalloway was one of the first real classics I read, that got me into majorly reading in my spare time.
118012 I've read both of Ernest Cline's books: Ready Player One and Armada, and thoroughly loved both of them.

I was just wondering if anyone had read anything similar? Maybe along the gaming or just general geeky route?

118012 Camille, that is amazing news! You'll have a new little bookworm to add to the group! :)
