118012 New profile picture! Shock horror! Not sure whether to keep or not... I don't like change!
Oct 23, 2014 08:18AM

118012 I might, depending on how tired I get from uni work! For some reason, I've been going to bed really late, so it probably won't seem late for me! Plus I get to have a lie in tomorrow, so most likely!

Either that, or I'll get up early and read for a few hours before my lectures start.

118012 We're on the cusp of the readathon, guys!

Everyone getting excited?!

118012 So... tired... and I have so much work to do still.

Plus it's horrendous weather here, and the campus is so big that it takes forever to walk everywhere.

Moan over :P

118012 Looks like December it is then! So excited!
118012 I've read up to book 5 (Deadly Heat?) but now that the 6th ones out, I want to re-read them. What makes me laugh is the amount of Firefly references in them. The show that has never died....

118012 December works well for me :)

118012 Will definitely try to fit in some of these. Read like 7 already, which is a start at least!
118012 Right, finally got a list. It will probably change and adapt though!

Heat Wave (re-read)
The House on the Strand
Love's Labour's Lost
Carmilla
Manhattan Transfer (Uni reading)

As you can see, I've kind of deviated from the horror genre, but I needed shorter books to reach my goal!

118012 Okay, this is probably highly optimistic considering I have like 4 essays due mid November. But anyway:

Non-Fiction (Genre Challenge):
The Mayor of Castro Street: The Life and Times of Harvey Milk
Bird by Bird: Some Instructions on Writing and Life - READ
Predictably Irrational: The Hidden Forces That Shape Our Decisions
Orange Is the New Black

University Reading:
The Catcher in the Rye - READ
The Book of Illusions
A Streetcar Named Desire (re-read) - READ

Other:
My Cousin Rachel
The House on the Strand

If I get time, which is unlikely:
Fangirl
The Enchanted April

118012 I'm happy for either November or December! The first half of November will be rather busy for me (assessments eek!), but the second half should be a lot lighter.

118012 There's no rush, don't worry about it! I'm not planning on reading it til November anyway. Take all the time you need :)
Oct 20, 2014 12:36PM

118012 It depends what book I'm reading, and where I am. If I'm in a busy place, I want loud music, so generally I'll listen to my usual stuff.

But if its a classic, or anything I really want to concentrate on, it's either silence or classical music for me. I personally love piano and strings stuff (Ludovico Einaudi is my favourite). My personal favourite playlist at the moment, you can find here. I'd love to be more knowledgeable when it comes to classical music.

Oh, and I also love soundtracks! I'll also check out The Planets, Aitziber. I recognise the name.
