I've just finished
Murder at the Vicarage which is Agatha Christie's first book to feature Miss Marple and now I'm reading
Twenty Years After - the sequel to 'The Three Musketeers'.

My copy is on the way yay! I haven't got the Clive James one or the Kirkpatrick translation but mine does have notes - which I DID want cos I'm sad that way ;) I think it's a blank verse translation rather than James' which is more poetical.

I got a download of Ignorance for the kindle for 2.99 so will be reading that one - looks good actually so I'm looking forward to it.

I liked that one Hilary - but couldn't get into the second in the trilogy (
The Wise Man's Fear), I might give it another go in case I was being in a funny mood as I would like to know how it all ends...

Yeah, he was loving every second of it! I watched the film first so didn't realise where it differed until later - the only bit that really irritated me was Ricky Gervais ;)

Glad you enjoyed Stardust Angela! I loved the book and the film - Robert de Niro is hilarious even if his character is totally different in the book :)

I'll have to check out 'Smoke and Mirrors' as it's a Gaiman book I haven't read yet. I'm currently reading
The Asylum for a bit of a break from The Idiot (although I think all those guys should be in an asylum to be honest)

Oh dear! If it makes you feel any better Hilary, I can't think of what book I would be either ;)

Oooh are they? Will have to have a look....
It sounds great - which plays were they Ellie?

Awwww that's sweet:) I really like Katherine Mansfield's short stories - this is the first poem of her's I've read though. Liked the 2nd verse best though - very children's fairy-taleish.

Awwwwww! Love it when all the lambs are in the fields :) We've got loads of daffs at the moment and I love them too - they look so cheerful!

I'm defo still up for Meditations as well - shall we go July or is that too far away???

I like this - usually we are always wishing birds and other stuff could speak but this is a different slant on it.

Ooooh, Captain Scott's gone all poetic on us! It's a real shame he didn't live to write up his memoirs.

I really like her - I'd recommend
The Garden Party and Other Stories if you've not read her before (plus its on the Boxall's list.) I would have given this one 3 stars as it had some stories I loved but some I didn't like as much but she got an extra star cos they are all so beautifully written.

50.
Australia : ML Stedman - The Light Between Oceans
51.
New Zealand : Katherine Mansfield - Bliss and Other Stories
I decided I need to get back onto this challenge so another two down now and am off to the Cook Islands with Capt.Cook next and then I'm going to Antarctica ;

Ha ha, yeah I remember liking Huck a lot more than I liked Tom Sawyer - hope you enjoy it Lee.
I'm reading Part Two of 'The Idiot' at the moment which is shaping up to be just as mad as Part One ;)
