Definitely Gandalf. He always knows what's going on in the world. I'd pick Sam for his running mate though, someone a bit more down to earth. And Sam was mayor of the Shire forever after Frodo left Middle Earth.Not a book, but another choice would be Princess Leia. If she were a real person, I would absolutely vote for her. For a running mate, I'd want Obi-Wan Kenobi, but he hates politics so maybe Yoda or R2-D2.
Dumbledore would also be great, but I'd totally vote for Hermione.

You would not like the Atticus Finch of Go Set a Watchman. I read it and later wished I had not done that. Just stick with To Kill a Mockingbird.

I'd vote Granger for president. She is a great leader, a smart woman, and she would know what to do in an emergency. Plus, she would be our first female president!

I know the tv series represents Daenerys as a good leader, however in the books she's quite different...
