Or perhaps Victor Frankenstein, who has a running mate whose existence he denies.

Sherlock Holmes--FBI Director
George Smiley--CIA Director
Atticus Finch--At..."
This is fabulous!!! (Especially the Doctor Who as Secretary of Transportation... He's not a book character, but we'll give him a pass :))
Thanks for this post, GR. I needed the smile it gave me, considering how ready I am for this election to be over...

Since Hermione is Minister of Magic at this point it's maybe a bit much. But they could hang her portrait in the Oval Office, how about that?

VOTE ATTICUS PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES!
VOTE HERMIONE PRIME MINISTER OF ENGLAND!
VOTE ..."
Yes to all of these.

From this choice, I'd choose Gandalf :-)

Targaryen | Lannister has a certain ring to it :)

Yes and have some pretty cool fireworks on the 4th of july"
Yes! I think true American spirit would be well represented in a flying dragon firework!
Terrible list, since, most of these characters (if were real) would be unqualified to run as President of the United States. You have to be an American citizen first of all.
George F. Babbitt would be my pick!
George F. Babbitt would be my pick!

But I'd pick Roland Deschain over all of them because he would be FAIR about gun laws. Not too much on one side or the other. He wouldn't give guns to absolute fools but he wouldn't be saying to go around and take them away from people. I've met two people who've said we should go around taking them away from people. I've also met people who are members of groups on FB called "Repeal the Second Amendment." I don't believe in that either but I believe in stopping people like Ted Nugent from even being allowed to talk at certain times because they say such stupid things they just shouldn't be allowed to talk.
I don't own any guns, I just have family that kills their own dinner and they've all had guns all their lives, even my mom. Which I didn't find out about until after she was dead but oh well.
Who would vote for Zaphod Beeblebrox? He's an idiot! A funny idiot , but still stupid
