48 Books That Prove Hollywood Loves YA Novels

Hollywood has a long (if uneven) tradition of raiding the Young Adult pantry for stories and series to adapt for the screen. Some books wind up as feature films, some turn into TV series.
In recent years, several YA stories have migrated to the various streaming services, which is a happy development. The variable and open-ended nature of streaming series means that stories can be given the proper amount of time to unfold.
We’ve collected below 48 books from the YA realms that have been adapted for screens big and small. If one of these titles has caught your eye while you've been flipping channels, consider going back to the source material.
Some recent streaming examples include Alice Oseman’s queer romance Heartstopper and Leigh Bardugo’s popular Shadow and Bone fantasy series, both now on Netflix. Also watch for Richelle Mead’s Vampire Academy, coming to Peacock this fall. From the TV and film vaults, you’ve got your gossip girls, your wallflowers, your peculiar children…

I liked the Hunger Games adaptations, not 100% like the books, but a lot closer than some other adaptations (Percy Jackson)*cough cough* =)
Well, I love reading, or at least used to love reading YA, and still have many more to read to nice to see many of my favorites here. But I have to say Hollywood doesn't love YA, Hollywood loves money and with these adaptations, they hope to get maximum viewership. Having said that I have read 18 of these and a few more are on my TBR and would read soon.

All the Bright Places by Jennifer Niven. The movie shook me pretty much, the ending was shocking. Also, Before I Fall.
