MY STYLE: Op Shop and Hospital Style!

Mum was back in hospital last week so it was hospital runs across three days. On Wednesday she went in for an endoscopy to see whether her ulcer had dispersed. Turns out, the ulcer had festered for the last three months they ignored it and she’s had a tube down her throat sucking that shit out since. So I went op shopping, hitting 15 stores across two days. I bought Jackie Collins but more on that later in the year when I finish the collection.

HEALTH & BEAUTY STYLE: XLS Weight Loss Sachets

Like most women I’ve recently tried to lose weight. And like most women, I go for the remedies that are in store instead of those you can buy online that may not be safe.

This time I tried XLS Medical Direct. Three sachets a day after meals.

JDS - XLS WEIGHT LOSS1

The sachets come individually wrapped in their own little packs and there’s 90 in a box, so three month’s worth.

JDS - XLS WEIGHT LOSS2

Like most women I weighed myself before I started and weighed myself when I’d finished.

The verdict. For me they didn’t work. I was the exact same weight at the end as I was at the beginning.

At least I didn’t gain weight!

What have you guys tried lately to lose weight and what was the product, or thing that you tried?

BOOK STYLE: My book #teenblogger: To Follow or Not To Follow, is now on sale!

It’s also my birthday, yay me!

My fourth book is also out under my name.

#teenblogger: To Follow or Not To Follow?

TK - teenblogger cover - KINDLE

All Clancy Yearforth wanted to do was start a simple bog to talk about stuff she liked and the things she did at school. She didn’t expect it to take off like a frog in a sock, especially after telling everyone she was going to the Teen Blogger Conference.

Suddenly she’s gaining likes, followers and subscribers, and while she thinks it’s awesome, the horrible comments and rude behaviour from people she doesn’t know and some of the kids at school are not.

After attending the conference where she’s stalked and harassed, then her school mates dictating how and when she should blog, Clancy needs to decide whether blogging is even worth her time and energy any more.

Clancy’s come face to face with the same dilemma so many experience online every day. Whmether to stick by your own principles and be yourself in everything you do, or to conform to the pressures of what everyone else wants. To stand by your own beliefs and the things you say, or be dictated to by those who don’t like what you think or say and treat you badly for it.

That’s why for Clancy it all comes down to one simple thing… To Follow or Not To Follow?

Available at Amazon, Smashwords and Kobo

Capes Galore: Birds and Feathers

I haven’t bought a lot of clothes so far this year, tops and pants, but I have acquired this awesome red and beige bird cape from eBay. It’s high in the front and low at the back.

JDS - RED BIRD CAPE

And I finally scored my second Camilla piece, the Rites of Tropicana cape. Not as good as I thought it would be, the material is no better than other capes and kimonos I’ve bought from other brands and other places. It does go well with a kaftan I own though, as seen below.

How many clothes have you guys bought so far this year?

HEALTH & BEAUTY STYLE: Veins Clear and Veins Care

Over the last five years I’ve noticed spider and varicose veins spreading around my legs. I hate them, who doesn’t, as they mean anything short I wear they can be seen.

So, like most women, I decided to see if a store bought remedy would work. I waited till the were on sale and then bought them, spending the whole month of March taking them and doing it.

What is it?

Caruso’s Veins Clear pills and Veins Care cream.

JDS - VEINS CLEAR1

JDS - VEINS CLEAR2

The pills are huge, like something you’d give to a horse, but faithfully, every morning, I’d take my pill and then rub my cream on after my shower and again at night.

Here’s the before of my left leg which has the worst veins.

JDS - LEFT LEG

And here’s the front of my right leg which is noticeable but not as bad as the left.

JDS - RIGHT LEG

There is absolutely no point showing you after photos because my legs look exactly the same. The cream and pills did not work. It’s great that they’re natural remedies but I thank God I got them on sale because they really would have been a waste at full price.

Do you guys have spider and varicose veins and what have you done to get rid of them?
