BOOK STYLE: Rachel Zoe and Selina Lake
I haven’t bought a lot of books in the last few years, mainly Nancy Drews, but I finally caught up on others that I’ve been wanting, purely because I finally had the money to do so.
First up, I finally scored Rachel Zoe’s second book, Living In Style. I bought her first one a few years back and got this out of the library to see what it was like. It went on my ‘to buy’ list and has finally come home.
The second lot of books I managed to acquire, purely because there was six of them to buy, are Selina Lake’s books. I first posted about them here, my favourites are Bazaar, Romantic and Homespun, when I got them out of the library. I loved them so much they also went on my ‘to buy’ list and I finally managed to get the first six. Sadly, Winter Living doesn’t have a book jacket, but that doesn’t matter.
I had nowhere to put them so put them on top of my jewellery books to take this pic.
What books have you guys bought recently?

HEALTH & BEAUTY STYLE: Joop, joopy joop, joopy joop, joopy joopy joopy….
Okay, so I was going for the Salt N Pepa song, Shoop, at least it’s an unusual title!
Speaking of perfumes, as we were last week, my current fave is Joop Go. It’s a man’s scent but sometimes they’re better than women’s! And this one smells mmm, mmm, mmm, good!
What’s your current perfume obsession?

MY STYLE: Flying Creatures
In last week’s post I reported on mum going into hospital the week before for her endoscope and being admitted so they could suck out that shit from her stomach. Last week she was still in there, having a second endoscope and needing surgery to remove the scarring caused by the little a-hole of an ulcer. And of course I had to go and get sick myself with the stupid head infection thing I’ve gotten for the last 20 plus years of my life, making my sinuses stuffed, my throat sore as hell and my ears burn. Not entirely sure what it is, I don’t have tonsils so it could be sinusitis but I’ve never been properly diagnosed.
So I only went out on Thursday to do the shopping and pay the bills and then went to see mum about 11:30 at which point she was being taken away for a catscan and was then admitted to ICU (intensive care unit) because she’d spiked a fever and they thought she had an infection. Which meant until they got it under control, no surgery for her after I waited for three freakin’ hours. I’m writing this on Friday night, still sick, and not even attempting to go to the hospital until next week. I need to get better myself and hopefully all the junk food I bought will help.

HOME & DÉCOR STYLE: Golden Perfume Bottle
For those who have seen my perfume posts, you’ll know I’ve gone through quite a few over the last few years as I never buy the same one twice.
So I’ve been collecting them instead of throwing them away, as the bottles have gotten better and look really nice in a little display.
But what about BIG perfume bottles?
Well, one must have a HUGE golden perfume bottle, right?
And display it with her other perfume bottles and perfume bottle book by Judith Miller, right?
I bought it from a huge craft and home wares shop called Spotlight, on sale, for $20.
A girl’s gotta have her perfume!
