PLANNER MONTH: MAMBI’S The Happy Planner Part 6
For some reason, I wanted this pineapple planner, and this Live Loud planner. Something to do with maybe setting up a goals/travel/inspiration planner. The idea grew, as I was originally going to use the one planner for everything, but it just wasn’t going to work. And I love anything tropical.
So, I pulled out the parts I wanted to use, and the parts I didn’t, and bought the yellow deluxe cover for it.

I’ve used the cover from the Live Loud planner as my goals will be first, and quickly shoved in the monthly dividers I thought of using. This planner is not yet set up, each step is being done between everything else I do.

The pineapple cover is in the middle and leads to the travel section, where I put all of the tropical dividers I’m going to use.

When I had a spare few hours, I went through the dividers and kept the best five from the Live Loud planner. They all had pretty colours and sparkling gold. I then found corresponding dividers in the same colour scheme, cut off the tabs, and used double sided tape to stick them together. I plan on using stickers and die cuts to cover up the leftover tabs bits, and to spruce up the backs.

I did the same for the best five tropical dividers.

I added a bunch of journal cards and die cuts I had and put them into the plastic page protectors, slid it into the deluxe cover, added keyrings, and a couple more cards, and it is now awaiting me to start sticking pictures and writing ideas down in…I may get around to it one day…

The cover was going to be perfect as it’s yellow like a pineapple, and says ‘plan a happy life’ on the cover.

I’ll be using some travel books to cut up and stick in, plus I have a massive amount of journal cards, die cuts and stickers to use. I’ll put in all of the places I want to go and do a couple of double page spreads for each. I’ll be using the paper that came with the planners so it’s recycled instead of wasted.
Have you guys made a goals/travel planner instead of a journal?
I’ve had a few in my lifetime, mainly sticking a few things here and there or writing down a list of goals. I do have a goals folder, same thing really, so why I’m repeating myself, I don’t know. At least it’s more compact and prettier.

RSL Art Union Draw 355 is now open
It’s been a while, as the RSL doesn’t seem to be putting these out every month this year, but here is the next one.
A house in Helensvale on the Gold Coast, fully furnished, air con and heating, pool and patio, four bedrooms with muted tones and wood. There is currently a house being built next door, and I have no idea why houses are built so close together these days, but if you like it, you also get ONE MILLION IN GOLD!
So head on over to the RSL Art Union website and buy your tickets today.

PLANNER MONTH: MAMBI’S The Happy Planner Part 5
While sorting out which planner I was going to use, and “frankenplanning” it, I found that I preferred the Trendsetter planners over the Glam Girls. Nothing wrong with that, I had planned to use a bit of everything from the four of them, but found myself not wanting most of the Glam Girl line. So, I put put together other things, such as this Glam Girl notepaper book.
I added the ‘glam is my jam’ bookmark, and large pink and blue discs. The paper is all of the classic sized that I bought, from the kisses, to the ‘get it done’ pages.

But then I got to thinking, and shopping, and needed another set of discs, and then a cover, so bought the matching cover and rose gold discs to go with the Glam Girl cover.

I pulled the paper planner apart, added the rose gold discs instead, and slid it into the rose cover. I hate the orange inside, but for $10US on sale, who cares.

So then I had all the other leftovers…and wasn’t sure what to do with them as I had planned on using the green cover…

I put the pink and blue discs on it and put the leftover Trendsetter and Glam Girl planners into it, along with the pockets dividers, and slid it into the green deluxe cover…

So now, I have two deluxe covered planners of paper and leftovers, which will be used each year, as I’ll still use the diary section and just add new numbers. I don’t want to waste them since they cost so much, and I thank god the covers can be reused.

Gotta love a good paper planner…I can do so much with it.

PLANNER MONTH: MAMBI’S The Happy Planner Part 4
While shopping for Happy Planner goodies, I also bought all of the mini planner things I wanted, in both the Glam Girl line, and the Trendsetter line. After pulling apart classic planners, and rearranging all of the paper, and after buying the big set of rose gold discs to rearrange the classic Glam Girl planner, I had the medium sized discs left over for both of the minis in matching colours. I would be adding the dashboards, pockets, sticky notes and paper inserts to each one. I also needed covers.
Glam Girl (some of the dashboards and pockets already in)

Trendsetter (dashboards and pockets already in)

I added the slim dashboard today markers to the front, along with the small envelope and sticky notes in the Glam Girl, while Trendsetter only had the marker dashboard.

Larger dashboards went closer to the planning sections.

The second dashboards went at the back before the pocket folders to divide the sections.

I divided up the paper into each mini, and put some of the pockets upside down as it evened them out and didn’t make the planners too bulky.

I then popped them into their co-ordinating mini deluxe covers which match perfectly.

God, I love planners and covers and compendiums, my shelf is becoming full…more in the coming weeks.

PLANNER MONTH: MAMBI’S The Happy Planner Part 3
When it came time to pull everything out of its packet and start sorting through it all, one thing became clear. That all of the paper I had bought was not going to fit into the planner I was setting up for myself. And when it came to the half sheets, there was no way they could go with the full sheets. So, after looking at the dashboards for the classic planners, I decided to use one from the Trendsetter line, and one from the Glam Girl line, as covers for the half sheet books I made.

Using the pink medium rings that came from the planners I pulled apart, I was able to make these two sets of half sheets. Trendsetter on the left, Glam Girl on the right. I placed the matching sticky notes at the back of the book. Each book contains two sets of sheets, each set is 60 pages. That’s 120 pages, plus sticky notes on medium rings with a dashboard cover and …

the back is from the planners. I kept all of the cardboard that came off the items, knowing they could come in handy to re-use or cut out. They were already punched, are white on the inside, but refer to the line on the back. Perfectly fine to use and the right size.

With the sticker books, I found that they fit perfectly into the plastic box that the classic deluxe covers came in. It keeps them neat and tidy. I can get 10-12 in here with the rest of the card covers from the other items.

I guess that’s one of the good things with the Happy Planner goodies, you can move them around and make new note packs, planners, or covers from bits and pieces. Just beware, the more you pull items like the dividers and pockets inserts in an out, they will rip.

PLANNER MONTH: MAMBI’S The Happy Planner Part 2
When I wasn’t buying at The Happy Planner store, I was buying on eBay mostly.
Below, I bought the pineapple planner from one seller, and the rest from another. Paper, sticky notes, inserts and bookmarks.

I then managed to get a HP hole punch from eBay Aus, and the rest of this lot came from one seller on eBay US, most of which I could have bought from the Happy Planner website in December, oi, lessons still being learned. More paper, stickers, inserts, sticky notes, two more planners….

And finally, after joining planner Facebook pages, I heard about Blitsy.com . I bought three times from them, first I bought three sticker books and a pack of plastic protectors. The second lot was date stickers, discs and plastic protectors, the third lot was the snap ins, more date sticker books and more page protectors.

I really needed to stop buying at this point…but I didn’t…
Have you guys ever shopped at Blitsy for your craft goodies?

PLANNER MONTH: MAMBI’S The Happy Planner Part 1
In December of last year I started my planner obsession, as the previous eight posts have attested to, and I came across The Happy Planner Glam Girl and Trendsetter lines, and found out I could buy from their website. Why the hell I didn’t buy everything I could at the time, I have no idea. It was late Sunday, the 17th of December, I was on their website and read that last orders would end that day. So, I jumped on and bought a bunch of stuff.
That would be this lot here.
Dashboards, pocket dividers, magnetic bookmarks, stickers, paperclips, sticky notes and the classic planner.

And then, after some shopping elsewhere, I came back and bought these. Two planners on sale, sticker books, mini inserts, more bookmarks and plastic page protectors.

And then after shopping somewhere else, I came back and bought these. Two classic deluxe covers and a mini, and paper.

And then after shopping somewhere else, I came back and bought the mini glam girl planner and trendsetter sticker book because they were suddenly available again when I should have just bought them in the first place.

And then I took a picture of all the Happy Planner stuff I had bought from everywhere…

And then I went and bought another two classic deluxe covers, a mini cover and some rose gold rings…all because I needed them…I actually thought the white cover was silver for some reason, and am disappointed, I would have liked a blue cover but they didn’t have any.

I seriously became addicted to this brand, but I find it problematic for me personally. I’ll definitely be keeping the planners and using them until all the inserts are used and gone. At least the dividers and covers are recyclable and I’ll be shpwing you in future posts what I did with most of it.
Have you guys heard or bought from this brand, and what did you think?
