New Kikki K Medium planners join the family

I talked about buying the large Kikki K Letters are Better planner back in March which you can see here, and after a few months, I figured, why not make the set. So I bought the medium version as well.

It has the same interior as the large and they look so cute together.

Next up is the latest season’s Count Your Lucky Stars range. If you sign up for a newsletter, you get a $10 voucher on your birthday . This planner was $49.95, so I needed to add a few things to make it over $50 for free shipping. This planner comes in a cute star covered box.

Isn’t she pretty!

The inside is just as holographic as the outside.

Next up is the Me and You Valentine’s range from 2017. Because I wasn’t buying from Kikki K then, I missed it, but have recently found it on ebay.

The outside is a pretty pale pink with gold hearts. The inside is actually plain and boring for such a pretty planner, so I’m disappointed they went with something so ordinary.

I now have four medium Kikki K planners. These three go with the Love Life planner I bought earlier this year in the after Christmas sales, more on that here, and I added a matching gold heart key ring to the Me and You planner to match.

I still have a few planners left on my list to get and then I should be done…

What have you guys bought recently?

Webster’s Pages mint and pink floral travellers notebook

Months ago I showed you the gorgeous Webster’s mint and pink floral planner I had bought and that I was using it for a fitness and health planner. Now, I decided to buy the matching travellers notebook to go with it, and I also tracked down some of the notebooks to go in it.

It came with a nondescript notebook already in it, so I added the three matching notebooks as well. Green and blue florals, and the pale pink gold floral.

I love matching sets, and I love gorgeous mints and pink florals as well. As usual, I won’t be using the notebook even though I do use the planner. I’m being extra careful with my planners so they don’t rip or tear on the bottoms.

What have you guys bought in sets lately?

Kikki K’s gorgeous blue Wellness Planner

I first saw this gorgeous pale blue and gold embossed leather planner at the beginning of the year. It retails for $89.95 AUD and was in the Kikki K store in January. I loved it from the moment I saw it, but the price was too high for me.

So I joined some Facebook groups and have managed to buy a few things, including this planner for less than retail. Thanks to one of the ladies on FB, I bought this for $51.60 with shipping (I always include shipping cost in the final price of what something costs) and it’s brand new in mint condition still in its box.

It has various sayings and comments on each monthly cover

And has notes at the back

It’s funny how you can look at something online and think…that looks nice. But then you get it and see how beautiful it is and fall in love with it.

Are you guys using a wellness planner?

Latest Planner Goodies Haul

This year I’ve found quite a few new online stores to shop in for goodies such as stationery, stickers and bits and pieces like planners and compendiums. Blitsy was just one of them. I also learned about Shimelle and American Crafts and bought the Glitter Girl collection earlier in the year. Well, Shimelle is back with the Box of Crayons collection.

I didn’t buy all of it, just the ones that were necessary to what I needed. Such as stickers, paperclips, die cuts and puffy ephemera.

I also bought these cute Doodlebugs unicorn and castle paperclips, The Happy Planner Squad Goals sticker book, and the Carpe Diem notebook with a pink typewriter on the front.

I also discovered Aliexpress this year. Although I’ve heard of them for the last ten years, and have looked on their site, I’ve never bought from them until this year.

I mentioned my writing folders last month, but then I bought stickers. Must…resist…stickers…these gorgeous make-up, perfume and accessories stickers were only a couple of dollars each, if that, so I bought two sheets of each.

I also found these cute stickers in milk carton containers, plus packets of flowers, constellations and old fashioned things.

Don’t you just love it when things are only a dollar or two. Unfortunately it means you…cannot…resist…buying…

Have you guys bought from Aliexpress before?

How I made quick and easy double sided folders

I’ve collected and bought stationery for years, but the one thing I could never find in the last decade or so was a double sided folder. No matter where I looked, I just could not find one. And I mean ones like these.

I bought four of these back in 1988/89 from Kmart, and for some stupid reason, I cut some up, mainly because I didn’t really like the pattern, but I did keep using two. But both have fallen by the wayside and I finally decided to make one to replace the one I’m using for my ebay/store paperwork. I’ve been sticky taping this forever.

So, when I found a pack of three folders for $1 in my local Kmart store, I got an idea.

Buy two packs and make three folders.

It was easy enough. Do some measuring, cut the flap side off and remove the elastic cord.

Use double-sided tape on the back and then stick in onto the largest flap of the second folder. Voila, you have a double sided folder.

I made three of them, so now I have an extra two for the future. All for $2. And it only took me about fifteen minutes in total.

What have you guys made and created lately?

HOME & DECOR STYLE: My Current Finds

Gotta love a good bargain, also gotta love a great, unique piece not many other people are going to have.

I found this huge hand mirror in The Reject Shop for $6. It’s hanging on my cupboard at the moment as there is no wall space for it. Mirror, mirror on the wall…

At the same time, I also found this cool picture frame in blue sunglasses for $4.50

Kmart has these awesomely cool unicorn lights for $5. Battery operated, because the backing is holographic, it really brightens up and projects the light from the globes further.

And last but not least, these awesome pouffes. I’ve had them for a few years but never got around to blogging about them. Here they are, from Spotlight for $35 each

What awesome goodies have you bought for your home lately?

Brand New Coloured Writing Folios

Over the last few years I’ve been showing that I use old diary covers for my writing notebooks, but this year, with my planner addiction in full force, I knew I  needed so mething else.

After getting my Lilly Pulitzer lagoon folio, I realised it was laid out the exact same way as the Better Together folio I bought back in 2012. I bought a large salmon pink and a small blue for my business kit, and you can see the third part of those posts here, pic to the right.

Finally, I managed to find more of the same on ebay, after years of not being able to find any, or the odd one I did find was way too expensive and not in the right size either, but I found coloured ones on eBay and immediately bought four.

They are pretty much the same size as the original, same pocket on the front and zip on the back, except the new ones have handles on the spine. The insides are the same with the same pockets as well.

I bought a lime green for writing under T.K. Wrathbone, and three pinks, because it was the only bright pink I’ve ever found, so I stocked up, and they will be used for different things.

For the life of me I could not find a red one. I even went to the Mochithings website, and while I found a red one that was similar, it wasn’t as big, and cost more. So, I hit up Aliexpress and found the blue one I bought for my publishing planner. I loved it so much I bought another two blues, a pink, and this red one for writing under L.J. Diva. It’s not red red, nor bright, but until I can find one in vibrant red, this will have to do. It’s the same inside and out, but is the Better Together label that the original comes from.

And while they are an A4 size, sadly, they don’t fit file folders inside, so the only place to put them is in the back pockets. I use these file folders for the print outs of my writing planner that I created that I need for different story/book synopsis, and characters etc.

Here is the blue and pink from Aliexpress. They are the same colour inside instead of cream, which I love. The blue is for my publishing planner, the pink I switched over from my Lilly Pulitzer folio and I’m using it for my yearly planner so they both match.

And what’s great is, you can fit a happy planner into them, along with a bunch of paperwork, pens, clips etc, or, you can fit an A4 writing notebook. You get a sneak peak of my T.K. Wrathbone stuff below.

These folios are so great for so many things. Business kits, writing folios, school, work, play, it’s a great way of keeping everything you need together in the one place, and the best thing is, when it’s open it’s like a mini desk spread out on the table or your lap.

I’ve become addicted, and will be buying a gorgeous green and two more pinks from Aliexpress, I’m also after the other Lilly Pulitzer versions and am aiming to have all four of them. And then Yoobi has a pink one I’m after as well, so stay tuned to the new addiction here at Jewel Divas Style.

Folios!
