PLANNER MONTH: Shimelle’s Glitter Girl Collection
When I was searching eBay before Christmas for planner goodies I came across the Shimelle sticker book. And from that, I went in search of other Shimelle goodies. Hence the collection below.
I had to have pretty much all of it. And some of it was so damn good, I had to get doubles.
The first picture is all stickers and washi tape. The glitter shaker stickers are particularly gorgeous.

This is the non sticker part of the collection. Glitter scissors, die cuts, glitter paperclips and enamel charms, small and large paper pads with extra paper sheets.

I cannot believe how gorgeous this collection is. I think the only thing I didn’t get was the gold letter stickers. They were hard to find, and when I did, I saw they were normal gold letters and I could get them here in The Reject Shop similar to the blue and pink ones I already have, so there was no need to buy them.
I will definitely be using many of these pieces in my planner as they go well with the Happy Planner Glam Girl and Trendsetter ranges. But more on that in the coming weeks.
Have you guys discovered Shimelle, or is this your first time in seeing it?

PLANNER MONTH: Etsy and eBay Goodies
I don’t buy on Etsy often, in fact, this is only the second time I’ve done it. While in search of planner stickers, there were some things I just couldn’t get on eBay, so, Etsy it was.
From Australian stores, I bought the book stickers from Claire Bear Prints for the days I need to upload my books to all the online stores I sell on. And pill stickers from Kourageous Studios for my menstrual cycle and the pills I have to take.

From America I bought these gorgeous typewriter and gem pen stickers from Burnt Owl Studio. The pens are for when I need to write, and the typewriters for days I type up my books. Adds a little sparkle to my planner. The exercise bike stickers are from Libbie and Co for my health and fitness planner and the days I workout on my bike.

From eBay I managed to score these gorgeous pink flamingo paper clips, along with silver stars, and book washi tape.

I also bought these awesome diamond and lip stickers, as well as credit card, computer, pill, phone, clock, mannequin and makeup stickers.

And I loved them so much I went back and bought some more, along with these scale stickers for the days I weigh myself in my health and fitness planner.

I’ve bought more stickers in the last six months than I ever have. Do you guys have a sticker collection?

PLANNER MONTH: Chain Store Goodies
We have lots of chain stores here in Aus, many are in one state only, such as Cheap As Chips, which is only here in South Australia. I found these cards, to use as planner dividers, for $2.40 each on sale.

I found these two cards in Kmart for $6 each. I bought them purely for the typewriters for my writing planner.

This next stash was from two stores. Kmart had the washi tape for $2 and $4, and The Reject Shop had everything else.

The Reject Shop stickers and sticky notes.

The Reject Shop die cuts, journal cards, printed paper pad and stickers.

The Reject Shop cards, stickers and paper pads.

The Reject Shop die cuts, journal cards, and Christmas goodies that were marked down to .50 cents each.

Two stores created the stash below. Top row is The Reject Shop notebook and stickers, and the bottom row was spotlight Christmas die cuts and sticker books. I already had a Shimelle, but got another one because they were only $16.95 each. Less than half of what I bought the other one for before Christmas on eBay.

I attacked Spotlight before and after Christmas and found these document wallets for .89 each. They were only .99 normally but were on sale. Plus I found a pack of star charms.

More from Spotlight. A set of three manilla folders and matching document folder.

Gotta love a craft store, and Spotlight is our biggest. What have you guys found lately?

PLANNER MONTH: Kikki K’s Letters set
While searching the net for Kikki K planners, I came across this collection that is around 1-2 years old. Because I wasn’t into this brand, I never saw this collection, but, since I’m an author, I thought it was perfect for me. I found many of the items on eBay Aus, and managed to get bulk lots. I baulked at buying the planner for a while because it’s mainly white, and not pink and blue. But, I relented and managed to find one for $41 on ebay. Shipping was $13.80, but when the seller forgot it was up for sale, and was overwhelmed with the care of her father-in-law, I understood, and she refunded the postage, hence, I got it for a mere price of $41.
Upon seeing it when I opened the box, I fell in love and wondered if I should use it for my writing planner. But, upon setting up my Happy Planner, I realised there was no point having my blogging and writing planners separate, they needed to be together. So, I’ll give my Happy Planner a go for this year, and see what I do next year. Either way, this is not the end of the collection for me. There is a journal, notebooks and a box set to track down, so stay tuned.

Do you guys buy something because it coincides with what you are or do?

PLANNER MONTH: Kikki K’s Love Life Planner
I’d never bought a Kikki K planner before. I had only found their website in the last year or so, but didn’t own one. At Christmas I decided to check out their sales and found this gorgeous medium sized planner at half price, and a whole bunch of goodies to go with it. Journals, planner kits, stickers book, inspiration kit and planner.

Here is the planner with the sticker book (top left), inspo kit (top right) and planner kit at the bottom.

The planner is a mix of warm salmon pink, white and grey.

I added the ‘fall in love with your life’ inspiration book.

The ‘grateful journal’.

And the’ love your life’ inspiration book.

I am thinking of selling the books as I really went overboard on my shopping and want to try and earn some back. And at the end of the day, I really don’t need them and only bought them because they were pretty, on sale and made up the set. They’ll just sit in a box on a shelf and never be used, so I’m definitely considering selling these on.
What was the last Kikki K item you guys bought?

PLANNER MONTH: Webster’s Pages Color Crush
This was the second planner I came across, and while I didn’t immediately fall in love with it, I eventually did. As usual, I was after a pink and blue planner. I’m yet to find a nice one that appeals to my nature, but once I got this planner in my hands, I fell in love.
IT IS GORGEOUS!!!!!
It comes in this box, with a vellum cover sheet saying hello!

And once out of the box it astounds you with its vibrancy and small details.

The inside is just as posh looking, with its gold and white interior.

This is the planner I turned into my fitness and health planner because the colours match the Carpe Diem fitness pack I’m using. It’s slightly larger than normal large planners, so doesn’t yet fit on my shelf. But I am rearranging shelves to fit my future planners, so it will have it’s place. I used the fitness pack and decorated it with stickers.

I bought two cheap 2018 diaries from a local cheap store and pulled them apart. I cut them down and punched holes and they fit fine. I added My Prima Planner ice cream insert as this is my diet section.

At the back of the diet section I added some note paper which I cut down from unused notebooks I had, and after some trimming and punching, they fit fine as well.

The second section is a repeat of the first. It’s for my menstrual cycle where I have to write down when I do and when I don’t for my gyno.

I used the red dot My Prima Planner insert for this section.

I bought a whole bunch of red dots from eBay for a few dollars, and use them as a numbering system of 1-5, depending on how bad it is. I used the dots down one side and punched holes in one of the dot pages.

At the end of the section is one of the pocket dividers that came with the Carpe Diem fitness pack that I use for my doctors notes, as well as the rest of the red dots in one of the plastic insert pages I bought off eBay. I mentioned these in the Recollections post.

I also have my pill stickers behind the red dots. The third section is purely for writing down my health issues.

I also bought these Colour crush note paper inserts and dividers. I didn’t realise they would be small ones and don’t fit my planner. They do however, fit my Kikki K medium heart planner that I talk about in the next post. I’m not a fan of the size, but they are pretty.

Do you guys use a Color Crush planner, and what do you think of it?

PLANNER MONTH: Recollections
This was the first planner I bought from eBay US. The hot pink and gold flamingo appeals to me and my nature. The rings are a little loose, but it does for storage for the plastic inserts I also bought off eBay. The magnetic bookmarks and card set were also from eBay. I’m disappointed in the size of the cards. I thought they were going to be normal planner size, but they ended up being small. So I cut them down and now have a full page of them in my actual planner that I’m using. But more on that at the end of the planner month.

I also had my eye on these Michael’s Recollections zippered planners. I finally manage to buy four of them along with a roll of perfume bottle washi and this gorgeous My Prima Planner shaker insert. I got the flamingo washi as a surprise.

As much as I loved the way these planners looked online, I actually don’t like two of them. The top two, the Capture Every Moment and the I Have Fabulous Plans ones, I’ll be keeping. But the other two will be sold at a later date as I really don’t have a need for them.

Have you guys been hooked on all the Recollections goodies?

PLANNER MONTH: Carpe Diem, My Prima Planner, Dear Lizzy and American Crafts
I’ve been planning, in different incarnations, for the last three decades, and I’m 44 this year. At school, you start off with your school planner/diary with your class scheduled in it, and you put stickers on the front and colour in the pages. I also bought diaries from my local stores such as Kmart, and I know I still have one somewhere.
Once I left school I still used the odd diary here and there. I wrote in many as a journal, and still have them now as they were funky covered ones with music notes and rainbows.
I made a few, such as a A5 folder that I decorated in the ’90s, and made little tabbed dividers for it, much the same as I did for my internet planner a couple of years ago. And then, as I just mentioned, I’ve done internet planners in A4 folders.
But, that internet folder has led me to my current incarnation and obsession with planners. The folder is in my bookcase next to me, but it’s too big to be constantly getting down, and there is no room for it to sit on the table I use for a desk.
So, in November of last year, I got to thinking, as I looked at all of the bits of paper lying on my table around me, and all of the paper I had hanging from the string rope I had tied to my old bookcase, that I needed a better system to put it all together.
And then the brain wave hit…
I needed a planner!
And not just a planner, (I had no idea what sort at this stage), but one that could fit into some sort of folio so I had extra pockets for all of the paper and notes I needed to keep together.
So my obsession began.
First I found the Recollections brand and bought the hot pink flamingo planner. Then came Webster’s Pages Color Crush, and then the Lilly Pulitzer Agenda Folio, and then I came across The Happy Planner’s Glam Girl and Trendsetter collections…and I was hooked.
Across the next two months you will see what I feverishly bought over the months of December, January and February, and yes, it’s going to take two months, at two posts a week, just to show everything as I don’t want to post extra long posts.
So sit back, relax, and see how my planner collection grew in just three months…
Let’s start with the smaller name brands of Carpe Diem, Dear Lizzy, My Prima Planner and American Crafts.
I bought these dividers, not even realising they only had four holes. Not that it mattered, I can punch a hole. B ut once I had pretty much everything I needed, I realised, I may not have even needed these at all. S o I may sell them at a later date if I don’t use them in my travel planner.

After my menstrual cycle went ape shit last year, and my new gyno told me to write down my cycle dates, I new that I needed a fitness and health section in my planner. But while it was going to be a part of my everyday planner, once I bought the Carpe Diem planner kit and sticker book, I knew it was going to be in a planner on its own. I was also after the typewriter pocket divider in the three pack for my writing planner. I somehow managed to acquire a second set of the fitness pack, and will be selling the parts I don’t need, along with a tonne of stickers, plus the two left over pockets at some stage.

I bought these Dear Lizzy die cut packs and stickers for the typewriters. However, one pack of stickers was incorrectly cut in the manufacturing process, so I won’t be able to use many of those, and I’ve decided I don’t need the die cuts, so will be selling these at a later date.

I love these stickers, just a pity the photo didn’t come out that clear. My Prima Planner is an awesome brand with awesome goodies, like the planner inserts. I use the red one and the ice cream one in my health and fitness planner. I’m definitely keeping all of these.

Are you guys into planning and where did your obsession start?

What’s In My Bag: Part 2

Today we have the second part of What’s In My Bag, where I show you what I already had, what I bought and what I finally ended up using.
Below: All the things I already had. I had been buying a few things, like the purses, and scoured my house for other stuff.

Here is everything I madly bought for the new insert, everything I thought I’d need.

Below is my makeup/first aid kit before and what I bought for it after.

LEFT: The makeup purse holds my lipgloss/sticks for quick and easy access and the lifesaver purse holds everything else
RIGHT: I bought a new purse and changed from my five year old red one to a gorgeous new pink star one.

I changed my business card purse from the one on the left, to the one on the right, and updated my car key case from my old Fiorelli to a hot pink one.

This is everything I finally narrowed it down to. It’s based upon what did and didn’t fit into the bag insert.

Packed full!
On the inside I have my business kit, notebook purse and diamond purse for jewellery when I go to the chiro. In front I have my style file, purse and lifesaver purse. The pink star purse is in the middle pocket under my sunglasses case.

Below is what I keep in the front/back/side pockets.

It all came down to what I could and couldn’t fit into the purses and then into the bag. It needed an overhaul. The old one I had kept rolling over in my huge bag, and I love this new one better. It’s flat bottom means it can stand in the bag and not roll. The only issue is, it doesn’t fit into all of my bags, so I will keep my old one and use it for my smaller bags and then just add what I need when I need it.
So, that’s What’s In My Bag, what’s in yours?
