Read chapter one now!

We're less than two weeks out from Trusting Molly releasing! As a reminder, this book is only on Amazon because it's being published by my Amazon owned publisher. I know that's a bummer for a lot of you and I'm sorry, I have no control over that. Just as I know having my books on all the platforms is a bummer for many of you because that means they aren't in KU. I literally can't please everyone. I hope those of you who read in KU will consider giving some of my books that aren't in the program a chance just as I hope those who read on platforms other than Amazon might considering downloading the books that are exclusive there anyway.

SO, with that out of the way...Molly comes out in less than 2 weeks! :) I've put Chapter 1 up on my website to give you a sneak peek (if you like that kind of thing. ha!) I know some people don't like to read the excerpts because it makes you even more anxious to read it...and that's okay!

I will be mailing the autographed paperbacks of Trusting Molly that were ordered from my website out next week (a bit earlier than you can get them anywhere else). I also have some new swag that I put up recently as well (wine tumblers, travel pouch, see-through tote, letter slitter...along with the usual T-shirts, totes, and signed books!)

Be kind out there!

Get a sneak peek of Trusting Molly 😍

Guess what this week is? It's my mama's birthday! She turns 79 and is still as ornery as ever! ha! She's taken up something new to try to keep from being bored to death while waiting to be able to travel again...yoga! She's a nut! I'm actually in New Mexico visiting her this week (and sweating to death...remember when I went to NM last year and her house was 85 inside in November? Yeah, now that it's 100 degrees outside, I have to keep sneaking to the AC and turning it down...but don't tell her! lol)

To celebrate my mom's bday, I thought I'd share an excerpt from Trusting Molly. The release of this book has kind of snuck up on me. One of the things I love about the stories I write is the relationships between all of the Heroes. And between the women. And between the Heroes and the heroines. They genuinely like each other. The scene below shows this friendship.

Stay cool out there...or warm if you're on the other side of the world. Be kind. Be nice. Be safe. Be healthy.

I have some free books for you!

WHEW! It's HOT in a lot of places in the US. And it's COLD for a lot of my friends over in Australia. If you're somewhere that it's more temperate...enjoy it! The dogs and I are staying inside where it's nice and cool!

I've been staying busy writing! Which I love. I've finished the third book in my Eagle Point Search & Rescue Series that starts next year with Searching for Lily. It's got a small town vibe and there are lots of interesting characters who pop in and out of the story line. But don't worry...the Heroes are drool worthy and the heroines are all super strong.

This week I've got a few more FREE books for you! First up, if you haven't read my SEAL of Protection: Legacy series, you can start it for free with Securing Caite! This series is finished and it's honestly one of my favorites. (That tease at the end of book 3...whew! lol)

Also FREE is Hope’s Delta by an amazing person, author, and friend, Riley Edwards. This is the last book in the Delta Team Three series which is written in my fan fiction world. Five of my close author friends got together and write this series based on the Delta team I introduced in Shielding Kinley. Trust me, you want to read Riley's book and series!

And lastly you can pick up Rebecca Zanetti's book, Disorderly Conduct for FREE. This second-chance story looks to be full of humor and hotness! Don't miss grabbing it while it costs nothing!

I hope you're all hanging in there. Life isn't easy. Sometimes it's darn near impossible. But keep on hangin' on. There are people who love more than you know and while it might not seem like it, things do get better. I know when I get down I re-read one of my favorite books. It's like wrapping up with a comfortable blanket because I already know the story.

Read on and remember to be kind!

Read Falling for the Delta now! 📚

Falling for the Delta is live!

The concept for these stories came about when I talked to my author friend Riley Edwards about writing a "companion" story. She immediately said something like, "Oh, I know! We can start with the heroine in a tree!" And thus began Falling for the Delta.
These are two separate, but intertwined stories.
They aren't attached to either of our series, but, you'll see a Delta Force team you know and love make an appearance to help save the day!

There isn't audio for this one but the preorder for the Shielding Ember audio just went live!
In case you've lost track, Next up is Trusting Molly in July, the third book in my Silverstone series. Then Finding Lexie in Aug. This is book two in the Hawaii SEAL series. Then Shielding Ember in September, Finding Kenna in Oct, and Trusting Cassidy in Nov.

And just so December isn't left out, I've written two short stories that will be FREE. One about Annie (from Rescuing Emily) and the other with our favorite computer genius Tex and how his adopting Akilah (the teenager from Iraq) came about. That's a book a month for the rest of 2021! WOOOOO!

I hope you enjoy Falling for the Delta.

A sneak peek 😍

Here in Tennessee, it's warming up (sometimes TOO much, I like to be a little chilly...all the time. lol Sweating my butt off isn't for me), and I've been taking some walks between writing and other work. I've got a few short trips planned (to see my mom in NM, my brother in VA, some beach time, camping with geocaching friends, that kind of thing) and I'm excited to get "out and about" again. I hope those of you who live in places that are still suffering from COVID affects can slowly get back to normal (whatever that is) soon.

It's almost time for Falling for the Delta. I've been asked what series these stories are in, and they're true stand alones. BUT it's set at Fort Hood, Texas, so you *might * see some Deltas you know and love show up. :) I've included a small snippet of my story to give you a taste!

(This one won't be in Audio (sorry!) but coming in July is Trusting Molly! It's right around the corner!

As a reminder, I've now got hardcovers for some of my books! They're actually really cool. If this is your kind of thing, I've got some copies in my online store you can pick up!

Remember, life isn't always sunshine and roses, but...hang in there, the hard times will pass and the good will come around again. Be kind to those around you, you never know when someone is going through one of those hard times and a little kindness can go a long way.

Sneak Peek of Fall for the Delta

"You live here?”

Holly’s mind was spinning. It didn’t help that Dash still hadn’t let go of her hand. “No. Stella picked me up and we went out for lunch. She was going to drop me off later.”

“I’ll take you home.”

It wasn’t a question, and before Holly could respond, he’d shifted, moving the hand that had been holding hers to the small of her back and propelling her toward the parking lot.

Holly knew she should protest. This was how people got kidnapped and killed. But this was the man she’d been secretly crushing on for weeks. And she knew he was a Delta Force operative. She was ninety-nine-point-nine percent sure he wasn’t going to drive her to some deserted wheat field and rape and murder her.

But she still turned and looked back at Stella and Magic. She caught her friend’s eye and raised a hand up and mimicked talking on a telephone. Call me later, she mouthed.

Stella gave her a thumb’s up behind Magic’s back, then rested her head back on his shoulder.

A deep chuckle sounded from next to her once more, and Holly looked up at Dash.

“If it makes you feel better, you can text her my license plate number. But, Holly, you’re safe with me.”

And just like that, Holly knew she was a goner. His low, earnest voice, along with the sincerity in his gaze, almost had her melting into a pile of goo right there on the sidewalk. It was stupid—she didn’t know this man, but everything within her was telling her he was one of the good guys. That he wouldn’t ever hurt her.

She let him guide her to his car, a black Dodge Dart, and she couldn’t stop smiling as he opened the door for her. Once she was settled, he stood there for a second looking down at her.

“What?” she asked, nervously pushing a lock of hair behind her ear.

“Nothing. It’s just that I can’t believe you’re here. Finally.”

And with that, he shut the door and began to walk around to the driver’s side.

Holly had no idea what that meant, but it had to be good, right? Could he possibly have noticed her too and been interested? No, that couldn’t be what he meant.

But the spark that had been lit when she’d touched his hand the first time flared inside her. She had no idea what was happening, but she took a deep breath and told herself to not do anything embarrassing. If there was even the slightest chance Dash might be interested in her, she didn’t want to do anything to mess that up.

Thank you ❤️

First, thank you to everyone for all the nice things you've said about Devyn and Lucky's story. I know it's impossible to make everyone love every single story I write, but it does make me feel good to know that most of you are pleased. lol It never gets easier to release a book. I'm always worried this is the one that everyone is going to hate. Luckily (knock on wood), that hasn't happened yet.

I hadn't planned on releasing a book in June, but I got together with my author friend, Riley Edwards, and we plotted out two stories, she'd write one and I'd write the other. Falling for the Delta comes out on June 8th. The stories were included in a Valentine's anthology in Feb, BUT we each wrote an epilogue for the June release as well as extended the sexy times a bit. If you're interested in a signed paperback, both Riley and I have them in our stores, and no matter who you get it from, it'll be signed by BOTH of us! :)

This week is also Mr. Stoker's and my 21st wedding anniversary. We met online, through Hotmail classified! I don't even think that exists anymore. This was before the time of match dot com or any of the other online dating websites. He was in the Army and I had a job two hours away from where he was stationed (Fort Hood! No wonder I've put my Delta guys there! ha!) Anyway, last year we went on an amazing sailboat trip before the world shut down, and this year we're going to be more laid back and go camping for a few days.

I've published a bunch of books this year already, and it's a great time to catch up in case you've missed any of them. Shielding Jayme, Shielding Riley, Securing Jane, Trusting Taylor, Finding Elodie, and Shielding Deyvn.

Still to come this year... Falling for the Delta, Trusting Molly, Finding Lexi, Shielding Ember, Finding Kenna, and Trusting Cassidy! Whew! I'm tired just reading all those titles!

Be kind. Be nice. Stay healthy. Appreciate what you have. Breathe through the tough times.

Listen to Shielding Devyn now! 🎧

Mid-May. How in the world did that happen?!? Jeez.

This week the AUDIO for Shielding Devyn is LIVE! If you're into audio, you can listen NOW!

I've also been mailing the paperbacks that were ordered from my store (It's not too late to get an autographed copy!).
Next week the ebook will be live!
It's hard to believe there are only 3 books left in the Delta Team Two series (including Lucky and Devyn's book!).

As a note, if you were waiting on Securing Jane to be available on B&N, Apple, Google, Play, and Kobo...wait no longer! It's finally available on all the platforms! I love the commander and hope you will too!

Things here are about the same as they have been for the last year. ha! The leaves are coming back on the trees, Mr. Stoker's still working hard as a part-time EMT and volunteer firefighter for our area. I'm actually planning a short trip in July and I'm super excited. I'm going to go visit my brother and his family, then I'm taking a short 4-day vacation at Virginia Beach! (It's not Hawaii, but it'll have to do! ha!)

Take care of yourselves out there!

Read the first chapter of Shielding Devyn 📚

We're getting closer to the release of Shielding Devyn. I love how many notes and messages I got from you guys last week about the excerpt I shared. There's just something awesome about a hunky special forces soldier being tamed by a dog and cat! lol Because you guys liked that one so much, I decided to share a little more from that scene with you all! (see below).

And it's also time to share the first chapter with you as well! So that is now on my website as well.

I've also got 2 free books for you again this week. The first is an exclusive giveaway to you guys through my newsletter. It's the Warlocks MacGregor two Book Collection by Michelle Pillow. It's a modern-day Scottish paranormal romance. Click HERE, for more information and to download it.

Also, just for my newsletter peeps (YOU guys), I've got Rescuing Emily FREE for the month of May. Book 1, Rescuing Rayne is free on all the platforms, so you can also pick that one up. Rescuing Emily is book two in my Delta Force Heroes collection and features one of my most beloved characters, little Annie! more info on how to get Emily and Fletch's book below.

And, believe it or not, NEXT WEEK the audio of Shielding Devyn goes live. So preorder it now so you have it ready to listen as soon as it goes live!

Have a good week. Tell your loved ones how much you care about them. Eat a vegetable (and a doughnut!) Read on.

The countdown begins!

I hope you're all over your Finding Elodie hangover! (I know, I know, some of you read it in like, 2 hours and others of you haven't been able to read it yet...either way is ok! lol) This week I want to start the countdown toward Shielding Devyn!

There are only 3 more books in the Delta Team Two series! This one features Devyn, who is Grover's sister, and Lucky. It's got some "brother's best friend" vibes, except Grover has NO problem with Devyn dating his sister. Why would he NOT want one of his best friends to end up with Devyn?

To get you ready, I'm sharing an exclusive graphic (see below) and also an excerpt! Some people hate excerpts, and won't read them, but I love sharing them anyway! I'm a sucker for a Hero (and heroine!) who loves animals, so I thought I'd share a part of the book that I hope will make you fall in love with Lucky that much MORE.

Remember that the audiobook is on preorder and will come out a week before the ebook. And if you want a signed paperback, you can get one from my stores and I also mail those a week before the ebook comes out.

Stay safe and healthy out there!

~Susan
