Overloaded & Overwhelmed

When the Holy Spirit of God placed on my heart He wanted me to go sit down on my bed, it would have seemed crazy if it had not been the Lord Jesus Christ leading me.

After all, I had a zillion things to do, loads of stress, and nobody to help with most of it. So would have seemed the worst thing to do would be to stop in my tracks and rest as I sensed the Lord wanted me to do.

I Don’t Care Anymore!

One of the most powerful real life lessons I have learned regarding telling the world about Jesus comes from an on-fire-for-the-Lord, hold-nothing-back-in-preaching pastor I greatly respect who regularly says when preaching, “I don’t care anymore!”

Emergency in the Grocery Store

Just as I was walking up to the cash register to pay for my items a store worker behind another register slumped downward to the floor where another worker thank God quickly came behind her and held her upper body up while others gathered round and someone quickly called 911.

Are You Willing to Do THIS?

“Please God! Tell me what your will for me is!” we may cry out desperately to God as we seek to know His will for our lives.

But if the truth be told we may not be willing to do WHATEVER God tells us to do.

It is as though once we know His will for us we want the right to pick and choose what we actually desire and are willing to do!

Jesus Christ is Lord. We should absolutely pray to God for His will for us. And we should do WHATEVER He tells us to do in humble obedience to Him!

Why I Left New York City

In my life on the road for Jesus I was thrilled to return to New York City my all-time favorite place to be and to do streets ministry. I had 6 amazing weeks of streets ministry followed by 2 awful months of really hard COVID after which I figured I would likely get back to my love, passion, and dream – doing ministry on the New York City streets while continuing with my writing.

Instead I left New York City. Why?

Jesus Christ is Lord, and the Holy Spirit of God made clear He wanted me to leave....

You may feel all alone with your emotional pain or your physical pain or both and you may feel nobody sees and nobody cares and nobody understands and there is nobody there to walk by your side through it and to comfort you along the way.

But God almighty sees your pain. And if you would turn from your sins, believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and in His death and resurrection, turn your life over to the control of Jesus, ask for and be filled with the Spirit of God, develop an intimate relationship...

How Are You Treating Your Boss?

In this self-centered world, isn’t it something how people tend to focus on how their bosses at work treat them more than or even instead of how they treat their bosses? Rarely do I recall in my life anyone sharing with me how he or she was working hard to treat his or her boss well.
