I don’t know about you, but in my life seems the devil loves Mondays. In his three-fold despicable heinous awful horrendous 3-fold mission to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), he seems to attack and tempt me extra hard on Mondays especially in the mornings.

Seems he wants desperately to get my focus off of the Lord Jesus Christ and the Bible and to get me off track from fulfilling God’s will for the week to come. Ugh, Mondays can be hard and yucky to be honest!

Imagine the Lord Jesus Christ leaving a city with a massive number of people when suddenly a poor blind man begging cried out His name. Know what happened when a bunch of people warned him to stop crying out to Jesus? Perhaps you think the blind man quickly shut up. Surely he was ashamed, embarrassed, worried about what others thought of him, not wanting to upset anyone or face their ridicule and judgment, refusing to go against what others thought he should do.

When Desire Is Not Enough!

“Your DESIRE to please me is not enough,” the Holy Spirit of God spoke to my heart.

Doesn’t it seem that it would be enough to WANT to please God?

Oh, but it is NOT enough to DESIRE to please God!

The Lord made Himself abundantly clear with what His Spirit said next.

Praying Without Borders

I am concerned if we are not careful we end up forming borders around our prayers. Never heard that terminology? I am not sure I ever have. Long ago the man I ended up marrying who would have been the first to admit he did not have a fancy vocabulary used a word people these days don’t often use and said something plain, simple, vital, incredibly challenging – and true.
