The Potter and the Clay

So very long ago my beloved mother did some pottery work, and if I recall correctly she had a wheel and maybe even a kiln along with the clay of course at our home. Decades later in a small town where I lived there was a potter whom I watched at one point doing his pottery. Perhaps I did a bit of my own pottery along the way. I do not recall. But if anything stands out to me when it comes to pottery it is that the potter is in full control of the clay and can do anything he or she wants with it....

This Is So Beautiful!

“Oh my gosh how beautiful! Thank you Jesus!” I exclaimed aloud as I looked up at a small portion of sky far above the ugly major highway beneath it.

It was such a tiny piece of beautiful sky when compared with the ugly highway and everything else in that area for that matter.

But in those moments I looked upward past all the ugliness of the highway, of that whole area, past decades of major personal trials and struggles, past the dire straits this world is in, and past the intensity and emotions...

You Need to Let This Go!

Please cry out to the Lord God almighty! Please pray to the Lord with all your heart! Please seek Him and ask Him if there is SOMETHING or SOMEONE He wants you to let go. And please pray for the willingness and strength and everything you need from God in order to let go in obedience to Him.

We are living in disobedience to and rebellion against the Lord Jesus Christ when we refuse to let go of WHAT or WHOM He wants us to let go.

Finding JOY!

I am the first to admit given decades of seemingly relentless challenges, trials, and struggles to the very day I write this that it is really easy for me to fall quickly into discouragement, sadness, complaining, self-pity, discontentment, discouragement, unhappiness, anxiety, and downright joy-lessness. But while I can come up with a list of excuses in a heartbeat for all this, I have learned that it is possible to find and experience JOY anytime day or night – regardless of our circumstances....

The Devil Loves Mondays!

I don’t know about you, but in my life seems the devil loves Mondays. In his three-fold despicable heinous awful horrendous 3-fold mission to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), he seems to attack and tempt me extra hard on Mondays especially in the mornings.
