Inspired By a Wagging Dog!

Paralyzed ministry dog Miss Mercy hit likely by a truck years ago and special needs ministry dog Grace hit by 2 cars years ago after being abandoned at a gas station love to lounge around lazily in the early morning on their big dog bed they share in our hotel room on the road for Jesus and ministry. But as soon as Miss Gracie stands up to be taken outside, she immediately starts wagging, wagging, wagging. Like there is nothing more exciting in the world than to start a new day and enjoy her day...

This JOY Is Guaranteed!

Happiness comes and goes and is ordinarily dependent on our circumstances whether they are pleasing to us or not, don’t you think? Even joy can come at any moment and yet be gone in an instant. Given the up and down nature of our lives, given the state of this world right now which is in such dire straits, the last thing in the world that seems true about joy is that it comes with a guarantee. But there is a joy unfathomable, a joy unspeakable, a joy unimaginable, a joy indescribable, a joy guar...

Personal Testimony About Honesty

Herein is a wild and powerful personal testimony about honesty.

The background? My ministry is in enormous need of financial support. Sadly, when I periodically let people know I could really use new Monthly Sponsors as well as Donors, usually either nobody steps forward to help or at most one person maybe two. This is to the point I have at times wondered if I need to shut down my ministry or go get a secular job.

God’s will? Always absolutely always the Lord has made exceedingly abundantly cle...

God’s Will for You

When I asked the Lord in the morning what He wanted me to do for the day, He surprised me with His response.

“I want you to go to the car and get your cup,” His Holy Spirit spoke to my heart.

I had accidentally left my protein smoothie cup in my car the day before.

Now I don’t know about you, but I am most comfortable when everything is mapped out for me in advance, when I know God’s will for the foreseeable future, when I feel like He has given me a checklist so I can simply cross things off as...

Is God Telling You to WAIT?

This very day I write this, the Holy Spirit of God has spoken strongly to my heart that He wants me to WAIT regarding a very significant matter in my life and ministry.

In the past, when I had a sense God wanted me to wait, I only waited if I wanted to wait. If I did not feel like waiting, I pridefully, foolishly, and sinfully moved forward anyway. Or I waited but did so with a really bad attitude, a lot of impatience, and whining, fretting, worrying, etc.

I have since learned three very importa...

Running Back to an Old Love

Do not go running back to an old love unless you are totally clear the Lord God almighty is leading you. Whether that old love be a person, a relationship, a thing, a situation, a job, a location, a commitment, a dream, certain circumstances, whether the old love be anything or anyone, do not go back unless you are sure it is God leading the way.

The devil will go all out to try to get us to return to an old love God has told and helped us to let go. The devil in his ever mission to steal, kill,...

Stress Is No Excuse

I have been prone to getting stressed out for as long as I can remember. In my elementary school yearbook was one of my most frequent sayings. “I am so stressed out!” Joking aside, this comes with a very serious message:

Stress is NEVER an excuse to sin!

For years, I used my life circumstances and stress and how I felt as an excuse to sin against God and to hurt others with my attitude, words, and actions.

When I feel stressed out, I can easily fall into moaning, groaning, whining, complaining, ...

Quit Banging on the Door!

Ever banged really hard on a door desperately trying to get someone to let you in? Maybe you were anxious, angry, impatient, frustrated, exasperated, etc. No matter how you felt, you were resolved to not stop banging until someone let you in to where you were certain you needed to go to do what you were convinced you needed to do with the people you were adamant you needed to see. You had everything figured out in your mind. Exactly how everything would unfold. And how you would accomplish total...

God Does Know What You Need!

When the Lord led a beautiful friend to send me a text message with the following Bible verse, His Holy Spirit brought to my attention four lies I have believed.

“…For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him.” Matthew 6:8 NKJV

The lies? That He does not fully love and care about me, that He does not hear all my prayers, that He will not fully provide for me, and that He does not really know what I need not especially before I pray and even sometimes after.

Wow, huh? I am...
