The Potter and the Clay

So very long ago my beloved mother did some pottery work, and if I recall correctly she had a wheel and maybe even a kiln along with the clay of course at our home. Decades later in a small town where I lived there was a potter whom I watched at one point doing his pottery. Perhaps I did a bit of my own pottery along the way. I do not recall. But if anything stands out to me when it comes to pottery it is that the potter is in full control of the clay and can do anything he or she wants with it....
