Feeling STUCK?

I was feeling really STUCK.

“You are not stuck,” I heard the Holy Spirit of God speak to my heart. “I have you here for a reason.”

Sometimes we truly are stuck in a situation, in our circumstances, in a job, in a relationship, in a location, etc. in that we are NOT in God’s will for us and need to pray to God to lead us where He wants us to be AND humbly faithfully follow Him.

But sometimes we just FEEL stuck when the truth is God wants us right where we are in life or at least in some specific ...

Because God Said So!

“Stay right where you are,” the Holy Spirit of God spoke to my heart.

“Why God?” I said immediately.

“Because I said so,” the Lord said.

Enough said.

Jesus Christ is Lord. When the Lord makes clear His will, no matter His reasons, whether He makes them known or not, no matter what we think or how we feel about His will, no matter how challenging His will, no matter the sacrifice involved, absolutely no matter what, our response should always be the same.

God Sent Me a T-Shirt!

I was running ragged. Super tired. Not feeling great. Some of my Covid symptoms trying to come back. A dreary drizzly day. Craving sunshine in the sky. And inside where I felt down-ish and belabored by the weight of my cares needing to be cast upon the Lord. Oh, God had such a sweet surprise for me as I walked with my special needs ministry dogs paralyzed Miss Mercy in her wheelchair and elderly Gracie struggling with her walking.

My Paralyzed Dog’s Ear

Once in the middle of the night I noticed my paralyzed ministry dog Miss Mercy’s normally flop-forward ear raised high in the air even as she was sleeping! As though she desperately did not want to miss anything she might hear! Made me think of how we should always have our “spiritual ears” i.e. hearts raised high in the air toward God and not miss anything He says to us!

Beautiful Crayons Testimony!

One day I was at Walmart standing in front of the crayons choosing which ones I would get to underline in my now brightly colored and highlighted Bible when I felt strongly led to buy two packs of crayons.

Within hours I was walking by the front desk of my hotel when I heard a bored and restless child asking his likely exhausted mother for crayons as she stood at the desk checking in. She did not seem to have any crayons!

The Devil Keeps Tempting Me

I was heartbroken when the Lord called me to leave behind New York City where I absolutely LOVE being and doing ministry to return to Florida for ministry where I desperately did not want to return. I Shocked a Woman…

I shocked a woman one day when suddenly I spewed out some rude and selfish words about someone else. Why was she shocked? She knows I am a follower of the Lord Jesus Christ and was not accustomed to my speaking in such a sinful manner. I admitted my wrongdoing to her and repented before God.

When the Devil Tempts You to Go Back

Sometimes the devil tries to convince us that something or someone from our past was unbelievably amazingly awesomely fantastic so we go running back to what or to whom God does not want us to return. The devil tries to get us to erase from our minds what was unhealthy, unwise, ungodly, unholy, etc. He tries to get us to turn away from God and His will for us going forward and to go running back into the past where God does not want us to be.

I Don’t Feel Like Being Kind

“Be kind,” the Holy Spirit spoke to my heart.

“I don’t feel like being kind,” I replied.

I was waiting on hold for another customer service representative to help me after the first one had not been able to help because evidently I had called the wrong department. I felt impatient, antsy, irritated, and not in the mood for waiting. Ugh. I was NOT in a godly space!

Praise God, when someone got on the phone to help me, I was kind.

The Word Christian Is Meaningless If –

You may call yourself a Christian, have a degree from a Christian college, wear a cross around your neck, go to church, have a Bible, go to Bible study, come from a Christian family, etc. But the word Christian and all the rest of it is meaningless if you do not believe Jesus Christ is Lord and in His death and resurrection and have not surrendered your life to His lordship.
