Feature Friday – Deep

With the Forgotten Monsters series, I absolutely knew a couple things going into it. I knew the titles I wanted to use (with the exception of Echo, that took a few tries before I settled on it) and I knew that Deep was going to feature a kraken.
A KRAKEN!
Because how in the world does a monstrously large sea creature stay hidden as the world above progresses technologically? Satellites and cell phones and radar and all other manner of things are just WAITING to catch a glimpse of something so big.
And so Mikka and Lars got their story. Our lady kraken is ready to throw in the towel and reveal herself and let the chips fall where they may when Lars stumbles over her hiding place.
The rest, as you can imagine, is history. With a little boom-chicka-wow-wow thrown in. Because monsters need love too!

Release Date: February 22, 2017
Pages: 43
Genre: Monster Erotica
As the world grows more technologically advanced, keeping herself hidden from the humans has become harder and harder for Mikka, one of the last krakens left in the great oceans. Weary of fighting and clearly seeing the writing on the wall, she’s ready to reveal herself and let the humans do as they will.
Amateur oceanologist Lars Lund is certain there’s a secret hidden in the saltwater cove near his isolated home. If he can figure out what it is, he can find a way to keep it protected. And maybe the lonely song he hears night after night will finally stop haunting him.
Mikka and Lars are on a collision path that will rock both their worlds. She’s a monster out of legend and he’s a man who doesn’t quite fit into the human world. Together, they might just find a happily ever after.
Warning: This book contains a monster of epic proportions and a man who sees more than he lets on. No tentacles were harmed in the writing of this book.

Heart of Stone Cover Update!
It’s done.
IT’S DONE!
The cover update I’ve been agonizing over since the end of 2019 is here!
All covers have been updated to the new style (and they all match with their sparkles and man-chest!) and I love them so hard. Seriously. After dealing with a hardcore mental block over how I wanted these bad boys to look, I am SO SO SO pleased with them.
As a reminder, the final installment (A Rock and a Hard Place) will be coming out in early November. Sooooon. So soon. YES! (And as another reminder, this series – along with all the Monstrous books – is available to read free in Kindle Unlimited.)

Feature Friday – Wisp

Prepping the final installments of Heart of Stone for release has me nostalgic for my Forgotten Monsters. They’re big (well, some of them), they’re bad (-ish), and they don’t want to be forgotten.
First up, Will. You know, the wisp. The grumpy loner who lives in the “haunted” house just outside of town. He doesn’t like visitors and he’s not pleased when a group of college students show up and interrupt his evening.
What he NEVER suspects is that the sexy coed who crosses his path is going to worm her way straight into his life.
GOOD TIMES!
(And, HOLY WHAT? This book will be turning FOUR in January? I…how did this happen? Like, didn’t I JUST release it? WOW.)
WispAmazonRelease Date: January 25, 2017
Pages: 40
Genre: Monster Erotica
Living on the outskirts of society suits Will Quinn just fine. He’s one of the last of his kind and he’s grown weary of being the boogie man to the humans who dare each other to check out his presumably haunted cabin.
When a small group of humans from the local college show up to interrupt his solitude, Will is determined to run them off. He never expects a pretty coed to see right through his glamour to the heart of the man beneath.
With tensions rising in the monstrous community and the danger of being revealed an ever-present threat, Will must make a choice: Guard the secret of what he is or let the spark that is smoldering between him and Kaitlin become a full-fledged burn.
Warning: This book contains a man who’s much more than a Wisp. Not all monsters are created equal and Kaitlin’s about to get the type of education she never dreamed of.

Heart of Stone 7 is LIVE!

I said I’d have Heart of Stone 7 out in early October and IT IS OUT IN EARLY OCTOBER. (I know I’ve said this before, but with the way 2020 has been dragging me down, this is SUPER exciting!)
So. Vane’s been god-touched and his priorities have shifted. Not away from Cin or anything, but there are SECRETS hidden beneath the mountain and our boy is determined to ferret them out.
CUE DRAMATIC MUSIC AS THE TRIO DESCENDS INTO THE MURKY DEPTHS!
This is the windup to the finale and THINGS HAPPEN. Vane and Cin get frisky. Vane spreads his god-touched powers. MYSTERIOUS HAPPENINGS ARE REVEALED!
Man, I had fun writing this book.
A Stone's Throw AwayAmazonRelease Date: October 2020
Pages: 55
Genre: Monster Erotica, Paranormal Romance
Vane has been god-touched and it changes everything.
The drive to confront his mother is no longer his most important goal. His newly enhanced abilities grant him the knowledge that a lost treasure can be found deep within the mountain.
Treasure he can’t turn away from. Treasure stolen from him and Cobalt long ago.
The problem? Following the trail will take them into the heart of enemy territory and Vane doesn’t want to put his mate at risk.
But when the gods walk, magic happens.
And this treasure needs to be uncovered before Vane can move on.
Warning: This book contains trolls. Well, A troll. And a gargoyle/human couple who just can’t keep their hands off one another. POOR COBALT.

Feature Friday – A Stone’s Throw Away

I’m doing something a little different with this Feature Friday…We’re taking a look at the NEXT book that will be released in the Heart of Stone series.
A Stone’s Throw Away is the wind up to the big conclusion and THINGS HAPPEN. OMG, do they happen.
Let’s just say we get to meet some new supernaturals and see that not everything is as it appears to be. *bats lashes and makes mysterious noises*
Things happen, people. Things happen.
FYI, I’m planning an early (as in next week) October release for this installment. PREPARE THYSELF!

Looking Back on September

Another month, another release.
BOY, does that feel good to write.
It’s true, too! September saw the release of Best Laid Stones, Heart of Stone 6. Things are getting a little abduct-y for our couple and Vane is NOT okay with that.
As for the final two installments of this series, I HAVE NEWS! A Stone’s Throw Away (Heart of Stone 7) will be out in early October and A Rock and a Hard Place (Heart of Stone 8) has an early November release planned. I’m usually not big on announcing dates early (because things INEVITABLY happen and I have to change things), but I’m feeling confident enough in where I am in the process to share.
(And if you’ve read this far, both covers have been added to the site. So, you know, feel free to poke around and find them. Or just wait until Friday when I feature HoS7. LOL)
Here’s to a productive October! BRING IT!

Feature Friday – Best Laid Stones

(It feels a little gratuitous to feature a book that JUST came out this month, but 2020 has been a weird year and I’m going to go with it.)
Best Laid Stones! Cin, Vane, and Cobalt are on their way into the gargoyles’ old home territory and…things could be going better. You know, mostly because Cin is navigating on her own while her honey and his brother sleep their daylight sleep and she’s starting to get worried she’s a leeeeeeetle bit lost.
It’s cool, though. Totally cool.
The minor roadside abduction when she pulls over to take a teeny-tiny break? Not as cool.
But it does open up a world of possibilities for the group. THINGS ARE HAPPENING AND OMG YESSSSSSS!
Best Laid StonesAmazonRelease Date: September 14, 2020
Pages: 52
Genre: Monster Erotica, Paranormal Romance
Heading into the wilds of Vane’s childhood home sounds all fine and dandy, but Cin has a few reservations. Not about Vane’s plan to visit his old nest, but about Cin being able to properly navigate her way there while her mate and new gargoyle brother are in their daylight sleep.
But things happen for a reason and an unexpected roadside visitor changes everything for Vane and Cin.
Gods speak, curses might be broken, and a world of untapped potential is at their fingertips.
Change is coming and Vane and Cin are on the edge of the wave bringing it in.
Warning: This book contains a berserker-crazed gargoyle who REALLY wants to show his lady what he’s made of. If the forest is rockin’, don’t come knockin’!

And if you read this far, you’re the first to hear that Heart of Stone 7 has a cover. Seeing as how those covers are my current major road block to getting these out in a timely manner, this is BIG news. The plan right now is to have A Stone’s Throw Away out in early October. *rubs hands together* It’s COMING!

Feature Friday – Gravel Bound

A road trip with her gargoyle honey is fun, but a road trip with TWO gargoyles hanging out in their stone forms during daylight hours is…even better?
Sure. SURE.
Yep, the duo has become a trio for their journey and Cin’s in charge while Vane and Cobalt do their daylight sleeping thing. Which is great and everything, but it turns out Cin’s pretty protective of her mate and new brother. Which doesn’t bode well for nosy humans who get a leeeeetle too close to her gargoyles for some gratuitous ogling.
Bad singing, an introspective gargoyle, sexy times and revelations. OH YEAH.
Gravel BoundAmazonRelease Date: August 10, 2020
Pages: 49
Genre: Monster Erotica, Paranormal Romance
Cin and Vane have found Vane’s lost brother, but their journey continues. Vane believes he must confront his past if he’s to have a future with his mate, so the newly formed trio is heading to their childhood home to set things right with their old gargoyle clan.
But leaving Cin unprotected during daylight hours wears on Vane and he’s starting to wonder if there’s a way to break the curse his people were saddled with ages ago. A sexy roadside encounter leaves him even more confused and has him considering the ramifications of the old gods walking the world again.
The world is ready for change and Vane and Cin look to be at the center of it. Only time will tell if they can do what the gods have planned for them.
Warning: This book contains a grumpy, introspective gargoyle who thoroughly enjoys debauching his mate. Poor Cobalt. Some things can’t be unseen.

Heart of Stone 6 is LIVE!

(No lie, my friends. The relief I feel at getting the next Heart of Stone installment out in the time frame I had planned is AMAZING. My goal was to have it up by the 15th and IT IS UP BY THE 15th! I’m feeling all-powerful right now. ALL-POWERFUL!)
So. The next part of Vane and Cin’s road trip adventure is here. A little scenic drive. A little monstrous abduction. Some sexy times in the wild.
You know, the usual.
That’s right! THINGS ARE HAPPENING, PEOPLE! THINGS. HAPPENING. It’s so fun.
As with all the Heart of Stone installments, Best Laid Stones is available to read free with Kindle Unlimited. (And in case you missed it, ALL the related Monstrous books are in KU, so have at it!)
Now I must work on edits and the cover of HoS7 to continue my all-powerful productive streak! WISH ME MONSTERS!

Feature Friday – Stone’s End

When I started planning out Vane and Cin’s story, I knew it was going to have two things…a road trip and a ghost town.
A GHOST TOWN!
Yep, this is the installment where our intrepid couple rolls into an abandoned town and sets about looking for Vane’s lost brother. As it turns out, they find a little more than that.
MWAHAHAHAHA.
Also, they get frisky. In the ghost town. Because that’s what they do.
Stone's EndAmazonRelease Date: April 8, 2020
Pages: 53
Genre: Monster Erotica, Paranormal Romance
The first destination on their road trip has been achieved, but it’s not the place Vane and Cin ultimately need to be.
So what does a grumbly gargoyle and his sweet human mate do when the road calls them onward? They listen to the call and head out.
Ending up in a ghost town is kind of neat. Finding Vane’s lost brother is even neater. Meeting something old and powerful in this lost place is sort of the cherry on top.
That’s right…things are happening, brothers are reuniting, and decisions are being made. When the old gods wake, change is in the air.
Warning: This book contains a (mostly) abandoned ghost town and a gargoyle who’s only slightly less surly than his brother. Family, man. You gotta love ‘em.
