A Journey of Love and Medical Service in Lumbini, Nepal



"You need to go to the hospital for further examination because the consequences of high blood sugar are severe!" During a health check-up, Singaporean nurse Lim Kim Yan (林金燕), from the Tzu Chi International Medical Association (TIMA) in Singapore, accidentally discovered an unhealthy urine test result for a teacher. On further testing his blood sugar level, she found it to be significantly elevated. Giving her earnest advice, she emphasized the importance of health check-ups to the community; early detection of problems saves not only one individual but also a whole family.

Thrilling Soccer Match at El Menahil School in Istanbul, Türkiye


May is a month to warm the hearts and celebrate Mother's Day. In addition, the El Menahil International School in Istanbul, Türkiye had a special event everyone was eagerly awaiting – a soccer match! On the afternoon of May 11, 2023, the ninth and tenth-grade students had a friendly match; the ninth-grade team emerged as the winner. The students joyfully cheered and congratulated each other.

Caring for Refugees in Serbian Camps: Compassion Across Borders


On February 8, 2023, four Tzu Chi volunteers from Germany, the United Kingdom and Italy, with a Ukrainian volunteer Sergei from Poland, arrived in Belgrade, capital of Serbia. Over the next three days, they joined forces with twelve local volunteers to visit five nearby refugee camps to deliver care and love.

Rebuilding Hope and Education -- Tzu Chi Impact on Malawi Village


When Tzu Chi volunteers from South Africa and Malawi entered a village in Malawi, they were warmly welcomed by a large group of joyful villagers on the rolling red soil. Behind them were a feeding nursery and medical station that they had helped to rebuild.

In Praise and Memory of Sheng-Sheng Lin


Sheng-Sheng Lin (林勝勝) always had a big and warm smile, and worked with Master Cheng Yen, founder of Tzu Chi, for many decades in carrying out Tzu Chi’s work. During construction of Hualien Tzu Chi Hospital, when the Master most needed help, she gave her so much support. Master praised her: “You are my good disciple.”

Dominican Tzu Chi Volunteers Promote Recycling on Campus


Students at the Escuela Primaria Republica de Costa Rica in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic were amazed to learn that the clothes on the display table and the aprons worn by the volunteers were made entirely from plastic bottles.
