Nurturing Filial Piety in Bodhgaya, India


A little girl knelt before her mother's feet, carefully wiping them with a towel. In Bodh Gaya, India, the place where Buddha attained enlightenment, Tzu Chi volunteers not only held a Buddha Day Ceremony but also organized a foot-washing activity, to encourage children to express gratitude to their parents.

Honoring the Kindness of the Buddha


On the evening of May 14, 2023, the Tzu Chi Foundation held a grand Bathing Buddha ceremony at the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall. It combined three celebrations -- Buddha Day, Mother's Day, and Tzu Chi Day. Nearly 400 venerable masters led over 10,000 participants in the ceremony, bathing the Buddha with sincere and solemn hearts.

Receive the Grace of Buddha Together


On May 14th, Tzu Chi held a Buddha Bathing Ceremony at the Dao Lu Square of the Hualien Jing Si Hall to welcome the celebrations of Buddha Day, Mother's Day, and Tzu Chi Day in 2023. The founder of Tzu Chi, Master Cheng Yen, opened the event in person. Attending the event were Tzu Chi monastics, Tzu Chi volunteers and staff, teachers and students of Tzu Chi schools, Tzu Chi members, and members of the public. All gathered to pray sincerely for the harmony of the world.

Goodwill Flows through Aid Distributions in Türkiye


At the distribution site in El Menahil International School, people embraced each other sincerely, and love spread everywhere. Looking at these moving scenes, Tzu Chi volunteer Nadya Chou expressed her deep emotions:  “Over ten years ago, when refugees escaped the outbreak of the Syrian civil war, they settled in Türkiye. Now, they can finally deliver this love to the hands of the Turkish people. This road has not been easy.” Her words were full of tenderness, satisfaction, and indescribable gratitude.

Tzu Chi Holds Free Dental Clinics for Ukrainians in Poland


Since Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022, Tzu Chi volunteers Shu-erh Chang and Lukasz Baranowski have been actively assisting Ukrainian families who fled to Poznan in western Poland. They discovered that many Ukrainian families not only face the trauma of being uprooted from their homes, but also have to bear medical expenses that far exceed what they can afford, when they fall sick.
