How realistic should books be? Do we even care?
Hi people! Before I dive into this post, I wanted to acknowledge the elation that gives me the fact I have a post to publish that I’m quite motivated to write. I’ve talked lately about how much in a blogging funk I’ve been, so this was kind of a miracle. As of writing this post I’m at my desk at work, and honestly? I’m drowning in stuff to do. But I know if I leave this for later, I’ll either forget the idea, or lose all the creative steam.
What do you mean realistic?
A little context:
I...

Nominating awesome people for the 2019 Book Blogger Awards
I’ve been blogging for a while, which is is why it’s strange to admit this is the first time I’m writing a nominations post. Makes me feel old! But I’m so happy I had the chance to finally participate in this.
May from Forever and Everly is hosting the awards, so go check it out, because it’s a great way to spread some love and give our friends some well-deserved kudos for being awesome in our community. These are people that to me, have gone above and beyond, stand out and are a positive...

Has blogging always been this hard? I’m struggling way more now
I think we’re all familiar with the usual love-hate cycle that comes with the job. It sucks. Call it a slump, or being uninspired… It’s expected. But I’ve been struggling so much lately and I don’t know if it’s just me, or something with the bloggers who have been around about the same time I have, or if it’s just that as a whole the community isn’t into blogging that much anymore.
Time and energy, my enemies
I won’t even try to make excuses, because, while I do seem to be very busy late...

How to develop your amazing book blogger brand
Developing a ‘blogger brand’ is something that I think all of us struggle with, and not only at first. Your blogging brand is how the online world sees you, and it’s some ‘set it and forget it’ thing. It’s something you have to continously work on. You’ve got to make sure it’s consistent and that also, be aware of when it’s changing, or should change.
Not all bloggers think about this, but we all do it at least on a subconscious level. The moment we create our blogs and give them names an...

I prefer standalone books now -#noregrets
I know the community has already discussed this before. At lenght. But I’ve always been the type to say I don’t mind much as long as a series isn’t 4+ books. Starting series is something that I manage depending on the series, and the author. Maybe I decide to get the books as soon as they come out, and also read them, or I get them and wait, or I just wait for all of them to be out. It depends on my mood too!
But lately, these recent months, I’ve been in a place where starting new series see...

A pic of Salt to the Sea because why not? I still can’t get over this book!
The first half of this year has left me biting the dust because, oh my god, I can’t believe it’s june already. So anyway, I just turned 23 -yay for me-, and so many things have happened!
I’ve been meaning to write more blog posts but I’ve gotten so caught in doing ALL THE THINGS that I’ve accidentally left the blog step down from the list of priorities. But I love blogging so I’ll going at it until I feel like I rea...
