I’m doing this blogging thing the wrong way -Or am I?

We all start out not knowing very much, but we power through. It’s only when we’ve made some mistakes, and then sometime after that, that we notice them. But are they mistakes?

I do think there is a right way to blog. There is! But it doesn’t mean it always works, and that’s what frustrates us. We could be doing everything ‘right’, ‘by the book’, and still feel utterly disappointed in ourselves. Because at the end of the day, what really matters, is if it’s the right way for you.

I’m going to tell you about...

Am I awesome yet? -On the impostor syndrome

Not many people are comfortable tooting their own horn (hello I’m one of them). But, still, we want others to validate our awesomeness. And when we don’t get that? Well, it gets ugly. But also, when we do get compliments for achievements, sometimes it can also feel like we don’t deserve it, which is nuts! I know it, you know it… Yet, we can’t stop feeling this way.

I know you can look it up and find tons of information about the impostor syndrome, but I wanted to talk a little about how it...

August 2019 reveries: Wow, I’m not crazy, the blog is 5!

Two wrap up posts in a row! I’m doing better! Except, there hasn’t been much else on the blog this month. Yikes.

I create content for a living for others so in the middle of all that, I kept putting off writing articles for my own blog. I wouldn’t call it a slump, because there hasn’t been a lack of motivation. It’s just I’ve been really busy. There are truly not enough hours in the day to do it all.

But the blog is 5 years old and I’m excited for yet another year of blogging, because I en...

July 2019 reveries -Ain’t no rest for the wicked

I really need to get into the habit of being more consistent with my wrap-ups. If anything, to keep track of myself. Plus, I know it’s a nice way of staying in touch with friends in the community. I know I enjoy reading other bloggers’ posts!

To get motivated, I decided from now on, I’ll start using song titles to describe my month situation.

Life: Or, how despite everything, I’m still functioning™

July has been wild. And it was not all in the good way. I’ve been dealing with more family dr...
