I Have Faith in Our Generation of Writers

I’m a writer, and I’m 98% sure you, dear reader and/or blogger must be too. The other 2% has at least thought about it once, or will, at some point. We just can’t be around books as much as we are without falling in love with the art itself, of creating something and communicating what we think in this beautiful way.

Some might think it’s worrisome, that there’s so much supply of writers, but in comparison, not enough demand. Those will only see other writers as the competition, and well, I s...

Picking Teams with The Book Bratz

Starting New Projects: No, Idea. Sit.

newproject1

I think most writers have gone through that amazing feeling of having a new idea pop into their minds, finding its way to the writer’s heart and filling it with desire to put that idea to work. The problem is, also, most of the time, we already have a work in progress.

It’s really hard to turn that shiny new idea down and focus solely on your already started WIP. So I don’t. Yup, I give in completely. I just know I’ll end up doing it anyway.

However, I also know I can’t get too caught up in...

My Month in Movies: June Edition

mmm

This month it’s for the animations! I’m so in love with a good animated movie that can move me even more than A Walk to Remember.

Home

Home

I didn’t know I’d love this movie so much, but I did! ‘Oh’ was so cute and the whole aliens invade the earth thing was hilarious. These animated movies keep getting better and better. If you think about it, it’s not only about finding your home, physically, but those people that even though they’re different, are the ones who’re worth leaving everything else...

Starting a Bookish Revolution: HELP

bookishrev

And while in another post, I make reference to authors not coming to Ecuador, I have to admit that why would they? Of course it’d be the MOST AMAZING THING EVA if they could come, but we also have to do our part.

I have a lot of friends who like to read. Some like Pablo Neruda (I talk to you Kerly), some like mysteries a la T...
