3 Things You Can Do to Feel More Productive

3 Things You Can Do to Feel More Productive

Credit for this amazing photo goes to Rekita Nicole. You should definitely check her out!

This week, I’ve been feeling majorly inspired to write about some characters I’d put on hold for a while. It’s a magical feeling. But it wasn’t like that last week. Last week was a moderated hell. I struggled to feel productive since I couldn’t find the will to write. I tried to schedule blog posts, tried to read, tried to do homework, but I couldn’t manage to evoque that sensation of accomplishment, ex...

What You Need to Know about Pronouns and the Verb to Be

language tales 1 Hello, or should I say, Hola :)

This is the first of the Language Tales blog series, and I’m beyond happy that you’ve decided to give it a go! At the end of the series, I’ll put together a nice ebook for you to have all the information you need all in one place.

First, we’ll get started with the technical stuff. I know, I know it might be kind of tedious, and you can always check these out in a dictionary, but it’s always good to know how the technical parts of a sentence actually work and in...

Why I Don’t Agree with Book Banning

book banning

Some time ago, this happened: Some Girls Are, by Courtney Summers was removed from a Summer Reading list in South Carolina. I was so upset! Frequently we hear about this or that book getting banned at some school, but this was a shock for me since it was the first book I’d read that I found out had this happen to it (that I knew of). I strongly recommend you to check out Book Riot’s article on it. But long story short,

Book in Summer Reading List Mommy doesn’t agree School adds third book...

Why I Stopped Reviewing Each Book I Read

Reviewing each book

First of all, Happy New Year! I hope you can achieve all your goals and you can be an even better version of yourself this year!

When I first started blogging, I tried to post every day, and also every book I read, I reviewed. I guess a lot of people with this system do just fine. Unfortunately, soon I discovered posting every day wasn’t my thing. This was one of my first big blogging revelations. It took some more time for me to stop reviewing each books as I read it, but now, I’m glad I...

GotM: Lizzie Talks about her Favorite Holiday Tradition

guestofthemonth-club-300x200

hosted by Emily Reads Everything

Hi, everyone! I’m Lizzie and I blog at bigbooksandgrandelattes.blogspot.com and I want to thank Pamela for having me here at her blog!

My family has Christmas/holiday traditions, but there’s nothing that we do that’s too exciting. We decorate our front yard, and my mom goes crazy with it because she loves decorating. We bring out our fake tree and decorate so much that it looks like it’s going to tip over due to the insane number of ornaments. We bake Ch...

A Writer’s Tales’ Got a New Look!

Color Palette

This post contains some affiliate links.

Divider

Hello virtual peeps! You might have noticed the design change in A Writer’s Tales, and I have one confession to make: I was terrified about doing it.

It’s one thing to mess around with the header and sidebars, and other quite different to get rid of a color and welcome another!

For a while, I’d been debating a color change, but I love green! I didn’t know how to replace it with something equally or more awesome! And, that’s when I fell in love with g...

Introducing Language Tales!

RULE

Most of the bloggers I know are non native spanish speakers, so to mix things up in the blog a bit, and also to improve my own language skills, I’ve decided to post a couple of spanish, (and even french) basic lessons! How does that sound?!

There are many specialized sites out there that will teach you everything from the ABC’s to writing books in spanish, but I’m just aiming to give you a basic grasp on the grammar, and then some phrases you can use if you ever happen to travel to a spanish...
