Conversations: 5 Things that Make Me Hit the ‘Follow Blog’ Button

CONVERSATIONS1

I’ve missed the other topics, but I finally decided to join Geraldine and Joan in their new meme called Conversations! You should join too, you know!

conversationsmeme

Today I’m talking about some stuff that are most likely to garantee my following a blog.

How I follow blogs

First, I should mention that I have a system for following blogs. Not a very systematic one, but it’s a system nonetheless. I follow blogs mainly in two ways:

Subscribing via email Following in Bloglovin’

If a blog has some, or all t...

My name is Maxton and I’m a trader.
I live on a soulless planet where gravity, oxygen, and everything else are sold to the highest bidder on the black market. People are sold on the black market, too. You have to work really hard not to become one of those people. Pay your taxes, keep your friends and family cl...

International Bloggers: A Matter of Perspective

internationalbloggers

You know how all bloggers who aren’t US based, or even Canada, or UK or Australia based are called International bloggers? Yeah, I’m starting to feel not so okay with that.

I’ve referred to myself as an international blogger before, and a lot of people do too. That’s how we identify ourselves. It’s a general term that respresents basically the rest of the world.

It’s more or less like how it irks me that Nanowrimo has a forum for each country and then it’s something like Central America, So...

Armchair BEA: Hi, I’m Pamela

Armchair BEA

Hi everyone! Armchair BEAis literally that. BEA in the comfort of your favorite armchair :3 (I’m sorry, I just love that slogan). My family can’t afford to send me around the world whenever I please, but we sometimes do indulge in vacation time, yay! Unfortunately, I used up my vacation privilege in october, so no trips for me at least until next year. So, no BEA for me.

Lady Fortune has smiled at me, though, because I’m so ready for Armchair BEA, the new people I’ll get to meet, the prizes...

How Do You Shut out the Noise while Writing?

shutoutnoisewriting

So, I joined the Spring Writing Bootcamp organized by the YA Buccaneers, and I think I’ll accomplish good things in these two months!

writing bootcamp

I’m so excited to keep working on my novel ‘City of Lost Words and Dead Ends‘. I have a lot of faith in this one. That said, I want to talk a bit about the writing process itself.

Since I’m currently on break, I’ve been writing in the mornings. Today, I had a major case of lack of concentration.

Seriously, I had a ton of things in my mind. Thoughts about ha...

Why ‘Privileged’ Shouldn’t Be Used as an Insult

privilege

If I’m not wrong, being privileged means you’re in a situation that allows you access to a lot of things other people don’t.

With the rise of movements like #WeNeedDiverseBooks, and #OwnVoices, talking about literature in specific, the goal is basically to start paying attention and respecting other cultures, non-privileged ones; which is absolutely awesome.

The thing that irks me, is when things like this happens:

Person in twitter #1: We don’t need diverse books. Who wants to hear about...

Top 10 Tuesday: My Top 10 Bookworm Delights

Top

toptentuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the Broke and the Bookish :3

It’s been areallylong while since I participated in this meme, but lately I’ve just been unable to push out any worthwhile post, and today’s prompt is a really great one! Simple, but meaningful, because sometimes, when we get swamped by our obligations, some with their mile high TBR pile, the drama, the broke-ness,it’s good to remind ourselves why we love what we do in the first place, and I’m not talking about blogging. It all come...

Why You Should Consider Bookstagramming

Why you should consider

Maybe you’re tired of all the bookstagram posts, from literally everybody? Everybody’s talking about it nowadays, but I’ll let you in in a secret.

I’m by no means an expert, as of now I don’t even have a 200 followers, but I love it, and I think it’s a perfect creative outlet for the bookworm, and specially for the book blogger.

Are you feeling pressured?

Well, don’t. You can huff at bookstagram and call it a day.

Do you feel intimidated by more famous, and more experienced, talented, or...
