Is Blogging Worth it? 3 Reasons why we can’t stop

Why this discussion now? I think this is something we all end up asking ourselves at some point. And I’m sure most by this time have already experienced a lot of the ups and downs that make up the blogger’s life. But we can’t deny that sometimes the downs just seem so low, and they appear so often, they make us think about quitting altogether.

The Cons

Life gets in the way

It just does! And I know the drill is to set time apart for blogging, but the thing is, as much as we’d like to th...

In Defense of YA Literature -New Youtube Channel

I haven’t been very active blogging-wise, and I’ve got to apologize for that. Not been in the best frame of mind to be honest. I had to take care of myself because I had severe lack of enthusiasm for the stuff I’m usually so passionate about.

So, I tried new things!

For example, I started a Youtube channel!

Another apology is in order because the channel will have mostly videos in spanish, so english-speaking folks, I’m so so sorry. I just started to feel like I was devoting all my time...

Why Your Words Matter (Writing Workshop Recap)

Last weekend I was a wreck of nerves. I’m a NaNoWriMo Municipal Liaison, and I had organized an event for… prospective Wrimos. I was going to talk to them about the writing challenge and why it’d be great if the joined, and also, was going to give them a few pointers about how to start writing their novels.

Easy.

But for a whole week I obsessed about the content I’d give them, perfecting it and rehearsing what I was going to say again and again. I knew I knew my stuff. I know how to write...

Don’t Be Afraid to Be Unapologetically You

Lately, I’ve seen a lot of posts about caring about social media, about stats, about what makes a blog successful, and so on.

Bloggers have been talking about the reality of caring about stats, and not pretending they don’t, when they do, because -as it’s my case too-, we weren’t heard a lot in our real life environments, so we come on to the internet to share with like-minded people and for once, be heard.  The problem is that once we’re heard, we want to be heard by more people, especial...

5 Books You May Not Have Heard Of Before that Are Awesome

In a community where new, awesome and perfect books are coming out left and right, it’s easy to get lost in new releases and leave backlist titles behind. It’s no sin, but you never know how many hidden gems you’ll find going back a bit.

So here are five books that aren’t talked about a lot, but that I really enjoyed it a lot!

Look it up on Goodreads

3 Ways 3 Years Book Blogging have Changed Me -Happy Blogoversary!

3 Years is not that long. But I remember that first year, when I’d visit a blog and see in their archives posts that were from 2011. 3 Years.

I also remember when I first started this particular blog, and I was picking the hosting plan. I told my dad, ‘Look, there’re different plans. If I pick 3 years, there’s a discount’. He was dubious I’d stick with this for that long, so he said he’d only pay for one year. One year it was, and then I renewed it again for one more year.

Book blogging...
