3 Things That Make me Less of an Introvert -And it’s okay

We’ve established that a lot of us in the bookish and blogging community are introverts. But have you ever been in a situation, or wanted to do something that is not ver introvert-ish?

It’s not a nice situation to be in, specially if you are confident in your introvert shoes. It’s not that extroverts are icky or something. It’s just that a lifetime of underappreciation and trying to ‘measure up’ has made you embrace what makes you so special.

So what happens when you’re not perfectly intro...

Contribute to Reverie Society!

Hi everyone! With Reverie Society’s birthday coming up, it got me thinking about where my blog was, how far it has come. I’m proud of that. Does it make me feel inadequate sometimes? Of course, but I try to look at the positive. It means I can only continue growing!

I’m in the middle of a lot of things right now. I know I can continue like I have been, but there are two problems:

I really want for RS to not only barely get by I’m on the verge of starting a business and I fear the content...

Things I’d like to see in YA books with latinx rep

latinx rep

Yes, I have opinions. Until I can write my own contemporary with latin characters, I’m going to keep talking about this, lol.

Behold the latinx rep wishlist!

Characters using slang from their own countries

You know how british and US people use different words for things sometimes, even though it’s all english? They have their own slang too, and so does each latin american country. Ecuador is different from Colombia, which is different from Argentina, which is different from Mexico. We al...

7 Times Barney Stinson Accurately represented book bloggers

I’ve been having major How I Met Your Mother withdrawals, so in honor of how I much I loved the show and how I hated the ending, this post is now live.

I just was in the mood for some Buzzfeed-style fun, and yes, it was very fun to put this thing together. So, without further ado, I give you Barney Stinson, and… book bloggers!

When we try to be funny on our blogs or social media

Keep trying though.

When we finish an awesome book and then we check in GR and sequel is untitled, and no p...

My novel has a title!

It’s weird but it’s very hard for me to talk about my writing on my blog. I don’t know why. It seems like it comes more naturally to other people, but I really have to do a conscious effort to remind myself that I should post something from time to time. Not because I think that omg everyone’s sooo interested in it. Becuase uh no? XD It’s really because once I start writing, it feels really good to do it. The problem is talking myself into writing that post.

Anyway, as I was saying, my nov...

My Favorite Books of All Time, so far

What’s your favorite book?

Hahaha you mean to tell me I can only pick one?

Screw that.

For the most favorites of the favorites, these are books that in spite of whatever structural or otherwise technical flaws they may have, they have gone straight for my feels and thus, made them unforgettable, which means they’re super special to me and will always have a place in my heart no matter how many books I continue reading.

Some Girls Are

I’ve talked about this book before, but in short...

Blogging Slumps are Normal and Necessary

I don’t know what to post anymore…

I haven’t been feeling up to blogging lately, sorry for disappearing…

Hiatus announcement…

Sound familiar? Blogging slumps suck, but I’ve come to learn they are necessary, at least if you plan on being in this for the long haul. To be more precise, paying attention to what your slump is telling you is what is most important.

Blogging slumps are necessary because they tell you… When you need a break

Book blogging is not a job for most of us, but we d...
