Trust Jesus One Day at a Time

“Don’t worry about tomorrow, because tomorrow will have its own worries. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”

Matthew 6:34 (NCV)

There are two days you should never worry about: yesterday and tomorrow.

Jesus said, “Don’t worry about tomorrow, because tomorrow will have its own worries. Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34 NCV).

You can’t live in the past. You can’t live in the future. You can only live today.

Why should you only live one day at a time? First, when you worry about tomorrow’s problems, you miss the blessings of today. Second, you cannot solve tomorrow’s problems with today’s power. When tomorrow arrives, God will give you the power, perspective, grace, and wisdom you need.

When I was a kid, I didn’t worry about anything I needed in my life. Instead, I just went to my dad or mom and told them what I needed. I was never once concerned about how they were going to meet our needs because they took on that responsibility.

God wants you to be the same way with him.

Matthew 6:30 says, “If God cares so wonderfully for flowers that are here today and gone tomorrow, won’t he more surely care for you?” (TLB) 

When you worry, you assume responsibility that God never intended for you to have. You may be worrying today about a lot of things that are really God’s responsibility. In fact, every time you worry, it’s a warning that you’re playing God and that you believe it all depends on you. You’re acting like you don’t have a heavenly Father who will feed and lead and meet your needs.

The Bible does not say, “Give us this day our weekly bread.” It says, “Give us this day our daily bread” (Matthew 6:11 ESV).

God wants you to depend on him one day at a time. He will provide everything you need—for today. Because he is a good God, you can trust that you will lack nothing.

It’s okay to plan for tomorrow. But don’t worry about it! Trust God for each day as it comes.

Talk It Over

Spend five to 10 minutes today reciting and meditating on Psalm 23. What other Scripture passages would be helpful to remember when you start to worry?
What are you worrying about from your past that you need to surrender to God?
What are you worrying about in the future that you need to trust God for today?

If you haven’t trusted Jesus with your life, why wait any longer? Pray this prayer:
“Dear Jesus, you have promised that if I believe in you, everything I’ve ever done wrong will be forgiven and you will accept me into your eternal home in Heaven one day. I’m so grateful that I do not have to earn or work for my salvation. It is a gift from God, through your sacrifice on the Cross.

“I confess my sin, and I ask for your forgiveness. I believe you are my Savior. I receive you into my life as my Lord. Today I’m turning over every part of my life to your management. I want to use the rest of my life to serve you instead of serving myself. I want to depend on you instead of worrying about my past and future. I commit my life to you and ask you to save me and accept me into your family. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.”

Tu Tiempo lo es Todo

“Para cada deleite hay un tiempo y un modo, Aunque la aflicción del hombre sea mucha sobre él”. Eclesiastés 8:6 (NBLA)

Mientras inicias un nuevo año, toma algún tiempo para reflexionar sobre tu vida. ¿Qué necesita permanecer igual? ¿Qué debe ser cambiado?

Una de las cosas más importantes a considerar es cómo puedes mantenerte en sintonía con el tiempo de Dios. Todo gran logro implica tiempo. En el futbol, hacer un pase en el tiempo perfecto determina un resultado exitoso. En los negocios, un buen momento en el mercado —en particular las decisiones sobre la contratación y la expansión— puede significar todo. Si cantas, sabes lo importante que es mantener el tiempo con los otros músicos.

Hace muchos años escribí un libro llamado Una Iglesia con Propósito. En el primer capítulo comparo el liderazgo con el surf. Ningún surfista dice, “Hagamos algunas olas hoy”. Los surfistas no pueden crear olas en el océano. Solo Dios puede hacer eso. Los surfistas esperan las olas que Dios crea.

Eso significa que los surfistas pasan mucho tiempo esperando. A veces puede ser que ven una ola y la dejan ir, sabiendo que no es el momento adecuado. Luego, el surfista ve la ola correcta, comienza a remar cada vez más rápido, atrapa la ola, avanza sobre la ola y se baja de la ola sin eliminarla. El surf parece fácil, pero en realidad requiere de mucha habilidad.

Lo mismo es cierto en la vida. Tienes que desarrollar la habilidad del tiempo. La Biblia dice en Eclesiastés 8:6: ” Para cada deleite hay un tiempo y un modo, Aunque la aflicción del hombre sea mucha sobre él” (NBLA).

Hay un ritmo de vida. Aprender a hacer lo correcto en el momento correcto requiere habilidad. A menudo los cristianos llaman a esa habilidad “caminar en el Espíritu”. Entre más crezcas como seguidor de Cristo, eres mejor en el caminar en el Espíritu. A veces el Espíritu de Dios te lleva a correr rápido. A veces te lleva a caminar despacio.

En los próximos días vamos a ver cuándo Dios usualmente quiere que aceleres y  cuando quiere que reduzcas la velocidad. Puedes empezar el nuevo año tratando de hacer tus propias olas o puedes aprender a ver y a atrapar las olas que Dios está poniendo a tu alrededor.

Meditate on God’s Word, Not Your Worries

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

Philippians 4:6-7 (ESV)

When you are worried, don’t repress it, suppress it, or deny it. Instead, confess it. Talk to God about it.

If you try to push down worries, you’re going to get sick. It’s like shaking a can of soda, and then putting it in the freezer. It’s going to explode!

The Bible explains what it looks like to confess your worries to God: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:6-7 ESV).

What is the peace that passes understanding? It’s when you’re at peace but you have no logical, rational reason for it. You just lost your job, but somehow you’re at peace about it. Why? The Lord is your Shepherd. Or you just heard the dreaded word “cancer” from the doctor. For some reason, you have peace about the situation. Why? The Lord is your Shepherd.

Peace that passes understanding doesn’t mean you’re not sad or frustrated or confused. It means that you trust God to take care of you. You know he is in control and is working all things for good and will lead you when things seem dark. So you just keep giving your worries to him because he can handle it.

Once you’ve given your worries to God, you need to fill your mind with something else—the truth of God’s Word. One way to do this is through meditation.

If you know how to worry, you know how to meditate. Meditation is simply focusing on one thought over and over. In fact, you can take the habits you use when you worry—focusing your mind on something—and instead focus on God’s Word.

Start with a small portion of Scripture. First, read the passage slowly, perhaps out loud a few times, placing emphasis on different words or phrases. Second, reflect on the truth of God’s character and on the context of the text within God’s story. Third, respond to God in light of what you’ve just read; this may be quietly or out loud. Fourth, rest in the Word of God, listening for what God has to say through the Scripture.

Would you rather have your worries or God’s Word running through your head? Do something about it today: Confess your worry, and then fill your mind with God’s truth that is found in the Bible.

Conocer tu Verdadera Identidad Determina Tu Destino

“Por la fe salió de Egipto sin tenerle miedo a la ira del rey, pues se mantuvo firme como si estuviera viendo al Invisible”. Hebreos 11:27 (NVI)

Tu identidad determina tu destino. Esa es una declaración bastante grande. Pero en la vida de Moisés, vemos que es verdad. Una vez que Moisés se dio cuenta de quién era, su vida tomó una dirección completamente nueva.

Hebreos 11:27 dice: “Por la fe salió de Egipto sin tenerle miedo a la ira del rey, pues se mantuvo firme como si estuviera viendo al Invisible” (NVI).

El conocer tu verdadera identidad hace dos cosas: te da el valor de soltar el pasado y te da el valor de caminar hacia el futuro.

Moisés “salió de Egipto”. Tuvo el valor de dejar atrás su pasado.

En la Biblia, Egipto siempre representa esclavitud y atadura a algo. Así que aquí está la pregunta: ¿Cuál es tu Egipto? ¿Qué te está esclavizando y controlando? ¿Tienes el valor de alejarte de lo que sea que te esclavice? Conocer tu verdadera identidad te da valor.

A continuación, “se mantuvo firme”. Tuvo el valor de entrar en su futuro, su destino.

Conocer tu identidad te da el valor de caminar hacia un nuevo destino. La Biblia dice: “Por lo tanto, si alguno está en Cristo, es una nueva creación. ¡Lo viejo ha pasado, ha llegado ya lo nuevo!” 2 Corintios 5:17 (NVI).

Cuando recibes a Jesús por fe, Dios perdona tus pecados. Él te da una nueva identidad en Cristo. La gente a veces lo llama “nacer de nuevo”. Es un nuevo comienzo, una hoja en blanco, un nuevo destino.

Una vez que Moisés descubrió su verdadera identidad, se enfocó en su destino. Era como un corredor olímpico que no mira a la derecha ni a la izquierda, sino que solo mira hacia la línea final.

Hebreos 12:2 dice: “Fijemos la mirada en Jesús, el iniciador y perfeccionador de nuestra fe, quien, por el gozo que le esperaba, soportó la cruz, menospreciando la vergüenza que ella significaba, y ahora está sentado a la derecha del trono de Dios”.  

Y Colosenses 3:1-2 lo dice de esta manera: “Pongan la mira en las verdades del cielo, donde Cristo está sentado en el lugar de honor, a la derecha de Dios. Piensen en las cosas del cielo, no en las de la tierra” (NTV).

Cuando Dios te ha dado una nueva identidad, puedes concentrarte en el largo plazo —no en las prioridades u opiniones de otras personas, sino en las realidades del cielo y la carrera que Dios te ha dado para correr.

Conoce tu identidad. Aléjate de tu pasado. Avanza hacia tu destino.

The More You Trust God, the Less You’ll Worry

“Do not be worried and upset,’ Jesus told them. ‘Believe in God and believe also in me.'”

John 14:1 (GNT)

You know what it’s like to live in constant worry, don’t you? You feel uptight, your stomach seems tied in knots, and your whole body is tense. But you don’t have to live that way. Anything that’s learned can be unlearned. It’s time to start unlearning worry!

God has promised to take care of you; that’s his job, not yours. The starting point to letting go of worry is to maintain this humble attitude: “God is God, and I am not.” When you understand this important truth, worry will start to disappear from your life.

The Bible says, “‘Do not be worried and upset,’ Jesus told them. ‘Believe in God and believe also in me’” (John 14:1 GNT).

Anytime you worry, it reveals a particular area of your life where you have not given God first place. That’s because any part of your life where God is not in control is going to be a source of insecurity and worry.

So what can you do about that? Welcome Jesus into your life’s “house.” Give him access to all the aspects of your life—the living room, the bedroom, the kitchen, and even all the closets. He already knows what’s in there. In fact, God knows your needs better than you do. You have needs you’re not even aware of—but none of them will surprise God.

Jesus said, “Your heavenly Father already knows perfectly well that you need them, and he will give them to you if you give him first place in your life and live as he wants you to” (Matthew 6:32-33 TLB).

When you make Jesus Christ number one in every area of your life, it simplifies your priorities and gives you a lot less to worry about.

Jesus taught, “I am the good shepherd; I know my own sheep, and they know me . . . I sacrifice my life for the sheep” (John 10:14-15 NLT).

If God loved you enough to die for you, he certainly loves you enough to feed you, lead you, and meet whatever need you have today. 

Try this: Start every day by reminding yourself that God is good. When you wake up, sit on the side of your bed and say, “The Lord is my Shepherd. So, Jesus, I’m expecting you to feed me, lead me, and meet my needs today. I will give you first place in every area of my life. And I will trust you.”

As you begin every day by trusting God, you’ll start to see your worries fall away.

Talk It Over

What “rooms” of your life do you tend to try to control yourself, causing you to worry more?

What can you do first thing every day to help you not to worry? What can you do at night, before you go to bed?

The Bible says, “For God loved the world in this way: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16 CSB).

If you’re ready to give your life to Jesus, pray this simple prayer: “Dear God, I believe Jesus Christ is your Son. I confess I have sinned, and I ask for your forgiveness. I believe that Jesus died to take away my sins and that you raised him to life. I want to trust Jesus as my Savior and follow him as Lord, from this day forward. Instead of worrying about controlling my own life, I want you to guide my life and help me to do your will. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen."

Conocer Tu Verdadera Identidad Guía Tus Prioridades

“[Moisés] consideró que el oprobio por causa del Mesías era una mayor riqueza que los tesoros de Egipto, porque tenía la mirada puesta en la recompensa”. Hebreos 11:26 (NVI) 

 Durante los dos últimos días, hemos hablado de dos cosas: Primero, conocer a Dios te ayuda a conocer tu verdadera identidad. Y segundo, conocer tu verdadera identidad te ayuda a definir tus responsabilidades. Hoy veremos cómo el conocer tu verdadera identidad también ayuda a establecer tus prioridades.

Volvamos a Moisés, cuya vida hemos estado considerando. Nació esclavo hebreo pero fue criado como nieto del faraón. En el mundo de Moisés, el sistema de valores para la mayoría de las personas era el mismo que hoy. Ellos valoraban la popularidad, el placer y las posesiones.

Pero cuando Moisés se dio cuenta de que era hebreo, sus valores y prioridades cambiaron. De repente, la vida en el palacio ya no importaba. “consideró que el oprobio por causa del Mesías era una mayor riqueza que los tesoros de Egipto, porque tenía la mirada puesta en la recompensa” Hebreos 11:26 (NVI). 

Su verdadera identidad lo ayudó a definir sus valores, y priorizó su vida basándose en esos valores.

Moisés se dio cuenta de tres cosas muy importantes en su vida:

Cumplir el propósito de Dios es mejor que la popularidad.Amar al pueblo de Dios es mejor que el placer.Tener la paz de Dios es mejor que las posesiones.

Moisés renunció a todas las cosas que muchas personas pasan toda su vida tratando de obtener. ¿Por qué? “Porque tenía la mirada puesta en la recompensa”. Su visión, estableció sus valores. Luego, sus valores determinaron sus prioridades: seguir a Dios y sacar al pueblo hebreo de la esclavitud en Egipto.

Pablo fue uno de los primeros cristianos, y tuvo una visión similar a largo plazo. En Filipenses 3:8 dice: “Todo lo considero pérdida por razón del incomparable valor de conocer a Cristo Jesús, mi Señor”.  

¿Qué pasa contigo? ¿Qué valores son más importantes para ti? Si no lo sabes, reflexiona. Si no decides por ti mismo lo que es importante, otras personas decidirán por ti.

¿Ha estado tu vida enfocada en lo que otras personas valoran —cosas como la popularidad, el placer y las posesiones?  Si es así, sigue los ejemplos de Moisés y Pablo. Encuentra tu verdadera identidad en Cristo. Adopta la visión de Dios para tu vida. Deja que esa visión te muestre tus valores. Y luego deja que tus valores establezcan tus prioridades.

¿Qué valora la mayoría de las personas a tu alrededor? ¿Qué valoras tú?Haz una lista de las cinco prioridades principales de tu vida. ¿Con qué facilidad identificaste esas prioridades?¿Qué cambios ayudarían en tu vida a ser más consistentemente centrado en estas prioridades?Si todavía no has confiado en Jesús y no te has comprometido a seguirlo, ¿por qué esperar más? How to Stop the Worry Habit

“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?”

Matthew 6:25 (NIV)

God is the source of everything you need to live. He is the Good Shepherd who feeds you, leads you, and meets your needs. You don’t have to look anywhere else. You don’t have to look to Wall Street. You don’t have to look to the government. You don’t have to look to your spouse, your retirement account, or your job.

If you’re going to put your security in something, you need to put it in something that can never be taken from you. You can lose your health. You can lose your job. You can lose your good looks. You can lose your family. You can lose your life. You can lose your mind. You can even lose your way.

But God is never lost. And there is nothing you need that God can’t supply. Philippians 4:19 says, “God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus” (ESV).

So why do people worry so much? Worry may be the most common sin on the planet. It is the direct result of forgetting that God is good all the time. When you forget God’s goodness, you panic instead of pray; you worry instead of worship.

The Bible says, “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?” (Matthew 6:25 NIV).

Clearly, God doesn’t want you to worry about anything. Yet it’s hard to stop the worry habit. It’s part of human nature!

So how do you stop worrying? First, recognize that worry keeps you from the goodness of God. Next, decide that you don’t want worry to get the best of you. Then, take your concerns to God in prayer instead of worrying about them.

Remember: The best way to stop worrying is to start praying.

Talk It Over

How has worry affected you physically? What about emotionally? Spiritually?
Why does worship help you not worry?
Spend some time right now praying for the things you are worrying about and surrendering them to God’s care. Then reflect on the change you experienced in your heart as you prayed.

Are you certain of where you will go when you die?

Many people worry about death because they don’t know where they’ll go when they die. But Jesus came to save you from that fear of death.

The Bible says that every person sins and that the penalty of sin is death. But God loves you so much that he sent his Son, Jesus, to pay the penalty for your sins, to bring you into the family of God, and to save you from the fear of death.

If you’re ready to join God’s family, here’s a prayer you can start with: “Dear God, I know that when I die, I’m going to give an account of my life to you directly. I confess I have sinned against you, and I have lived by my plan, not yours. I want that to change, starting right now. I want to turn away from my sins and toward you.

“Thank you for sending Jesus to die for all I’ve done wrong so that I don’t have to pay the penalty. I know I don’t deserve your forgiveness. I know only your grace can save me.

“Jesus, thank you for loving me so much that you took all my guilt on yourself and made me acceptable for heaven. I ask you to save me from my sins and from my fear of death. I believe in you and trust that you will keep your promise to save me instantly, certainly, completely, and eternally. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.”

Conocer Tu Verdadera Identidad Define Tus Responsabilidades

“[Moisés] Prefirió ser maltratado con el pueblo de Dios, a disfrutar de los efímeros placeres del pecado”.  Hebreos 11:25 (NVI)

 Ayer hablamos sobre cómo el conocer a Dios te ayuda a entender tu identidad. Hoy veremos cómo el conocer tu verdadera identidad, te ayuda a definir tus responsabilidades. Te ayuda a entender lo que Dios espera de ti —y lo que Él no quiere.

Yo aprendí hace mucho tiempo que Dios no espera que yo cante ópera. Si me escucharas cantar, sabrías por qué. Un día, cuando esté delante de Dios, no me va a juzgar por cómo canté. Cantar es un regalo que no me dio. No es lo que fui creado para hacer.

Hemos estado viendo la vida de Moisés. Dios planeó los sucesos de la vida de Moisés para prepararlo para liberar a la nación de Israel de la esclavitud en Egipto. Dios planeó que Moisés naciera esclavo, pero que se criara como realeza.

Cuando Moisés aprendió su identidad dada por Dios, su verdadera responsabilidad se hizo evidente. Ya no podía ignorar los gritos de las personas que sufrían. Eligió aceptar la responsabilidad de liberar a su pueblo de la esclavitud.

Hebreos 11:25 lo dice así: ” [Moisés] Prefirió ser maltratado con el pueblo de Dios, a disfrutar de los efímeros placeres del pecado”.  

¿Qué pasa contigo? A medida que conoces mejor a Dios, te conoces mejor a ti mismo. A medida que te conoces mejor, entiendes tus responsabilidades dadas por Dios más claramente.

Algunas personas viven como si fueran responsables de todo. Eso lleva a la preocupación, es una señal de advertencia de que estás asumiendo demasiada responsabilidad. No eres responsable de todo. Pero sí eres responsable de ser lo que Dios te hizo ser. Romanos 14:12 lo dice así: “Cada uno de nosotros tendrá que dar cuentas de sí a Dios”. 

Dios eligió a los padres de Moisés para que Moisés fuera un hebreo que pudiera liberar a su pueblo de la esclavitud. Dios usó a tus padres para hacerte único.

Muchas circunstancias de la vida de Moisés fueron difíciles, pero Dios las usó para bien. Lo mismo es verdad de ti. Dios eligió que nacieras, y puede usar cada detalle de tu vida para bien.

Tu elección es si le dirás sí a Dios y no a otras cosas. Moisés dijo no, a vivir como un príncipe egipcio. Dijo sí, a aceptar la responsabilidad dada por Dios.

A medida que aprendas tu identidad dada por Dios, tus responsabilidades se pondrán de manifiesto, también. Aprenderás cuándo decir no y cuándo decir sí. Conocer tu identidad definirá las cosas de las que eres responsable.

Hope Is Believing in God’s Goodness

“I certainly believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong and let your heart take courage; yes, wait for the Lord.”

Psalm 27:13-14 (NASB)

God has only good plans for your life. He never has, and he never will have bad plans for you.

Yet, many people miss God’s plan for their lives because they don’t trust God. Instead, they decide to follow their own plan, which leads to hopelessness and pessimism in the end.

The more you understand God’s goodness, the more hopeful you’ll be—because hope is anticipating God’s goodness. The only reason you have real hope is because God is good; without God’s goodness, there’s no rational reason for hope.

King David said in Psalm 27:13-14, “I certainly believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong and let your heart take courage; yes, wait for the Lord” (NASB).

Everything God does for you, through you, to you, and in you is because he is good. God’s goodness in your life is never based on how good you are; it’s always based on God’s character, not yours.

Are you fighting discouragement, doubt, or despair? Then, take your eyes off your problems—and get your eyes on all the good things God has done in your life. You can even write them down and make a list! You’ll be amazed at all you come up with, and it will serve as a reminder to you in the days ahead.

Jeremiah 29:11 says, “‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future’” (NIV).

What does God’s goodness in your life look like? It looks like his blessings of sustenance, balance, resilience, guidance, confidence, assurance, influence, inheritance—and so much more. He makes all of this available to his children because of his grace and his good character.

That gives me hope—and it can give you hope today too!

Talk It Over

Why do you gain freedom when you acknowledge that God’s goodness is based on his character and not yours?
What can you do while you are waiting on God to deliver you from a difficult season? How can you gain courage as you trust God during these times?

I believe Jesus Christ is your Son. I believe that he died for my sin and that you raised him to life. I want to trust him as my Savior and follow him as Lord, from this day forward. Please put your Holy Spirit in my life and help me to do your will. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.”

El Conocer a Dios te Ayuda a Conocerte a Ti Mismo

“Por la fe Moisés, ya adulto, renunció a ser llamado hijo de la hija del Faraón”.  Hebreos 11:24 (NVI)

Alguien en mi iglesia una vez me envió una nota que decía: “Pastor Rick, como realmente no sé quién soy o quién se supone que soy, termino moldeándome a las expectativas de los demás… ¿Puedes enseñarnos a descubrir nuestra identidad?

Es cierto que cuando no sabes quién eres, vives para la aprobación de otras personas. Pero Dios te ofrece mucho más. Él quiere que vivas en la verdadera identidad que te ha dado.

La Biblia cuenta una famosa historia de alguien que eligió vivir en su identidad dada por Dios: la historia de Moisés.

Moisés fue el líder más grande en todo el Antiguo Testamento. Llevó a los judíos a la libertad después de 400 años de esclavitud en Egipto. Recibió los Diez Mandamientos de Dios. A él le es acreditada la escritura de los primeros cinco libros de la Biblia.

Pero Moisés comenzó la vida como esclavo. Cuando niño, fue colocado en una cesta en el río mientras su madre trataba de salvarlo del genocidio. Fue encontrado por la hija del Faraón y criado como príncipe.

Hebreos 11:24-27 resume el resto de la historia: “Por la fe Moisés, ya adulto, renunció a ser llamado hijo de la hija del faraón. Prefirió ser maltratado con el pueblo de Dios a disfrutar de los efímeros placeres del pecado. Consideró que el oprobio por causa del Mesías era una mayor riqueza que los tesoros de Egipto, porque tenía la mirada puesta en la recompensa. Por la fe salió de Egipto sin tenerle miedo a la ira del rey, pues se mantuvo firme como si estuviera viendo al Invisible”.  

Entonces, ¿qué le pasó a Moisés durante esos años intermedios? ¿Cómo se transformó de esclavo en príncipe? ¿Cómo estuvo dispuesto a dejar todo atrás para guiar al pueblo de Dios? Bueno, en resumen, él creció. Creció físicamente, pero también creció espiritualmente.

Mientras crecía, Moisés hizo todas las preguntas que todos hacen: ¿Quién soy yo?¿De dónde vengo? ¿De qué se trata mi vida?

Finalmente, se decidió por la respuesta. Él “renunció ser conocido como el hijo de la hija del faraón”. Creció y se negó a seguir viviendo una mentira. Él conocía su identidad y eligió vivir como Dios lo creó para ser. Eso mostró madurez espiritual.

Entonces, ¿cómo puedes conocer tu identidad dada por Dios? Conociendo mejor a Dios.

Entre más te acerques a Dios, mejor te entenderás a ti mismo. Eso es porque Dios es tu Creador. Entre más entiendes a tu Creador, más te entiendes a ti mismo porque eres su creación.

Al igual que Moisés, enfrentas una elección: ¿Vas a pretender ser alguien que no eres por el resto de tu vida? o ¿vas a optar por vivir como la persona que Dios creó que seas?

Si eliges vivir como Dios te hizo, es posible que algunas personas no te aprueben. Pero eso realmente no importará. Tú sabes quién eres y hacia dónde vas. Y tendrás la aprobación de Dios.
