This Is Not the End of the Story

“We often suffer, but we are never crushed. Even when we don't know what to do, we never give up. In times of trouble, God is with us, and when we are knocked down, we get up again . . . we know that God raised the Lord Jesus to life. And just as God raised Jesus, he will also raise us to life. Then he will bring us into his presence together.”

2 Corinthians 4:8-9, 14 (CEV)

When the future is uncertain and there is a lot of fear, it might seem like your story is coming to an end.

But the Bible says, “We often suffer, but we are never crushed. Even when we don’t know what to do, we never give up. In times of trouble, God is with us, and when we are knocked down, we get up again . . . we know that God raised the Lord Jesus back to life. And just as God raised Jesus, he will also raise us to life. Then he will bring us into his presence together” (2 Corinthians 4:8-9, 14 CEV).

When life seems uncertain, remember this truth: You can’t lose! You’ll win in the end, no matter what happens. Even if you lose your life, you’re going straight into the presence of God if you believe in Jesus Christ as Savior.

And when you arrive in heaven, your story is just at the beginning.

Have you ever watched a TV show where every single episode ended in a cliffhanger and left you thinking the hero might not survive? Even though it’s just a story, the tension can feel enormous.

But what if all the episodes from all the seasons of the television series were all together, the complete series available through a streaming service or a collection of DVDs. Then, when you’re watching a cliffhanger episode that’s from the first season, you wouldn’t feel as much tension because you know the hero survives for another six seasons. When you know the series will continue, then you know each episode is not the end of the story. The hero will make it out of a tight spot and on to the next season.

That’s how your life is. Even when you’re in a difficult circumstance, you know that the tough spot isn’t the end of your story. You can live with hope in the middle of a crisis when you have an eternal perspective.

One day, when you meet Jesus in heaven, all your pain, sickness, sorrow, sadness, stress, and grief will end. Here’s what you have to look forward to in heaven: “He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away” (Revelation 21:4 NIV).

This life is not the end of the story. We don’t know what the future holds, but we do know who holds the future.

Talk It Over

In what specific areas of your life do you need to change your focus from fear to hope?
What tools do you have to remind you of the hope of Jesus when you feel discouraged or fearful?
Why is it important for the world to see that Christians have hope and confidence, even in the midst of a crisis?

Are you certain of where you will go when you die?

One day your life on Earth will end—but your story won’t end. If Jesus is your Savior, you’ll spend eternity with him in heaven. How can you have confidence that your story will continue after you die?

The Bible says that every one of us sins and that the penalty of sin is death. But God loves you so much that he sent his Son, Jesus, to pay the penalty of your sins, to bring you into the family of God, and to save you from the fear of death.

If you’re ready to enter God’s family, here’s a prayer you can start with: “Dear God, I know that, when I die, I’m going to give an account of my life to you directly. I confess I have ignored you. I know I have sinned against you, and I have lived by my plan, not yours. I want that to change, starting right now. I want to turn away from my sins and toward you.

“Thank you for sending Jesus to die for all I’ve done wrong so that I don’t have to pay the penalty. I know I don’t deserve your forgiveness. I know only your grace can save me, Lord.

“Jesus, thank you for loving me so much that you took all my guilt on yourself. You made me acceptable for heaven, and I humbly ask you to save me. I ask you to save me from my sins and from my fear of death. I believe in you, Jesus. And I believe that you will keep your promise to save me instantly and bring me to heaven one day to continue my story with you in eternity. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”

Cómo Amar a las Personas Difíciles en el Trabajo

“Hagan todo con amor”. 1 Corintios 16:14 (NVI)

¿Por qué haces lo que haces?

Si solo trabajas para poder sobrevivir, entonces estás desperdiciando tu vida. ¡Hay más en la vida que trabajar solo para vivir!

La mayor motivación para cualquier tipo de trabajo es el amor. Cuando haces algo con amor, eso agrada a Dios. Puedes revisar las listas de verificación todo el día y complacer a Dios. Puedes recoger basura y complacer a Dios. Puedes mirar la pantalla de una computadora y complacer a Dios. Puedes limpiar una habitación de hospital o de hotel y complacer a Dios. ¿Cómo? Haciéndolo en amor.

Puedes hacer cualquier cosa en el amor.

A veces haces lo correcto, pero por la motivación equivocada, y Dios dice que no recibes ningún crédito por eso. Dios está más interesado en por qué haces lo que haces que en lo que haces. La Biblia dice: “Hagan todo con amor” 1 Corintios 16:14 (NVI).

La gente me pregunta todo el tiempo: “Rick, ¿cómo te has mantenido motivado siendo pastor durante más de 40 años?” La respuesta es simple: lo hago por amor. Amo a Dios, y amo a la gente.

El amor es lo que te mantiene en marcha cuando tienes ganas de rendirte. La Biblia dice en 1 Tesalonicenses 1:3: “Los recordamos constantemente delante de nuestro Dios y Padre a causa de la obra realizada por su fe, el trabajo motivado por su amor, y la constancia sostenida por su esperanza en nuestro Señor Jesucristo” (NVI). El amor es la motivación máxima.

Es posible que tengas que tratar con todo tipo de personas en el trabajo, incluidas personas deshonestas, desagradables, defensivas y degradantes. Probablemente tengas que trabajar con alguien que no te gusta.

Pero Dios quiere que crezcas en el amor. Entonces, si vas a crecer espiritualmente, significa que tendrás que aprender a amar a esas personas.

¿Cómo haces eso? La Biblia dice: “Vivan en armonía los unos con los otros. No sean arrogantes, sino háganse solidarios con los humildes. No se crean los únicos que saben. No paguen a nadie mal por mal. Procuren hacer lo bueno delante de todos. Si es posible, y en cuanto dependa de ustedes, vivan en paz con todos” Romanos 12:16-18 (NVI).

Aquí hay algunas formas prácticas de amar a las personas difíciles en el trabajo: Trata a todos con amabilidad. No te quedes fijo en tus propias opiniones. Trabaja felizmente juntos. Responde con gracia y perdón. Haz todo lo que puedas para vivir en paz con todos.

Hazlo todo con amor.

Focus on What Is Unchanging

“When you go through deep waters and great trouble, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown! When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up—the flames will not consume you.”

Isaiah 43:2 (TLB)

When everything around you is uncertain, the key to stability is to focus on unchangeable truth. You need to focus on what never changes: God’s Word and God’s character.

Here are some unchangeable truths you need to tell yourself during a time of uncertainty:

God sees everything you’re going through. “The eyes of the LORD are on those who fear him, on those whose hope is in his unfailing love” (Psalm 33:18 NIV).

God cares about everything you’re going through. “But I will watch for the LORD; I will wait confidently for God, who will save me. My God will hear me” (Micah 7:7 GNT).

God has the power to change what you’re going through. “Ask, and you will be given what you ask for. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and the door will be opened” (Matthew 7:7 TLB).

God always acts out of his goodness to you. “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose” (Romans 8:28 NIV).

God’s plan is always better than your plan. “‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ says the LORD. ‘They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope’” (Jeremiah 29:11 NLT).

God will never stop loving you. “For the mountains may move and the hills disappear, but even then my faithful love for you will remain” (Isaiah 54:10 NLT).

Once you have put your trust in Jesus Christ, you cannot lose your salvation. “I know the one in whom I trust, and I am sure that he is able to safely guard all that I have given him until the day of his return” (2 Timothy 1:12 TLB).

No matter what you go through, God is with you. “When you go through deep waters and great trouble, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown! When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up—the flames will not consume you” (Isaiah 43:2 TLB).

To replace your panic with prayer, your worry with worship, and your anxiety with adoration, focus less on what social media and the news and other people are saying and more on God’s unchanging truth.

Cuando el Trabajo se Vuelve Abrumador

“Hermanos, no queremos que desconozcan las aflicciones que sufrimos en la provincia de Asia. Estábamos tan agobiados bajo tanta presión que hasta perdimos la esperanza de salir con vida: nos sentíamos como sentenciados a muerte. Pero eso sucedió para que no confiáramos en nosotros mismos, sino en Dios, que resucita a los muertos”. 2 Corintios 1:8-9 (NVI)

Todo el mundo experimenta problemas en el trabajo. Pero a veces esos problemas siguen creciendo hasta el punto en que se vuelven abrumadores y sientes que ya no puedes más.

¿Qué haces entonces? Haz lo que hizo Pablo cuando estaba abrumado.

Recuerda, Pablo era un apóstol de Jesucristo y viajó por todo el mundo para compartir las buenas nuevas. Él dice en 2 Corintios 1:8-9: “Hermanos, no queremos que desconozcan las aflicciones que sufrimos en la provincia de Asia. Estábamos tan agobiados bajo tanta presión que hasta perdimos la esperanza de salir con vida: nos sentíamos como sentenciados a muerte. Pero eso sucedió para que no confiáramos en nosotros mismos, sino en Dios, que resucita a los muertos” (NVI).

Cuando experimentas un problema en el trabajo que es tan abrumador que crees que te vas a dar contra la pared, debes hacer tres cosas.

Primero, entrega el problema a Dios a través de la oración. Puedes decir como lo hace Pablo: “Dios, estoy abrumado. Me siento impotente. Estoy confundido. Siento que no voy a salir adelante”. Clama a Dios y entrégale el problema.

En segundo lugar, asegúrate de estar en un grupo pequeño. En el pasaje de 2 Corintios, se usa la palabra “nosotros” y todo el pasaje está en plural. Cuando Pablo estaba pasando por una circunstancia abrumadora en su trabajo, no estaba solo. Al igual que Pablo, necesitas compañeros creyentes con los que puedas contar. Específicamente, necesitas tener un grupo pequeño de amigos que estudien la Biblia contigo todas las semanas, oran contigo y por ti regularmente y te animen cuando estés pasando por un momento difícil en el trabajo.

Tercero, recuerda que Dios usa a las personas en el trabajo para enseñarte a amar. La Biblia dice en 1 Corintios 16:14, “Hagan todo con amor” (NVI). En el trabajo, y en cada área de tu vida, a medida que aprendes a llevarte bien con otras personas, en realidad estás aprendiendo a amar. Y aprender a amar es de lo que se trata la vida.

¿Cuáles son algunas formas prácticas de aprender a amar a las personas en el trabajo? Trata a tus compañeros de trabajo como quieres que te traten a ti. Muestra a tus compañeros de trabajo que amarlos es más importante para ti que cualquier habilidad laboral. Y, no importa lo difícil que se ponga el trabajo, procura amar a los demás como Jesús.

Recuerda, cuando el trabajo se vuelve abrumador, debes orar, apoyarte en tu grupo pequeño y hacer todo tu trabajo con amor.

What’s on the Other Side of Your Troubles?

“Our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.”

2 Corinthians 4:17-18 (NIV)

When a crisis hits, you have to do the smart things necessary to get through it. You listen to God’s Word and godly advice, you make good choices, and you keep moving forward while remembering that this will pass. It’s not going to last forever!

The Bible says in 1 Peter 4:12, “Dear friends, don’t be bewildered or surprised when you go through the fiery trials ahead, for this is no strange, unusual thing that is going to happen to you” (TLB).

In this world, there will be times of trial and testing. It’s guaranteed! Since sin entered the world, nothing works perfectly. Everything on this planet is broken—the weather, the economy, your body, and even your best plans. Nothing works perfectly in this life because sin broke everything on Earth.

Isaiah 24 says, “The land suffers for the sins of its people . . . [they] have twisted the laws of God and broken his everlasting commands . . . The earth has broken down in utter collapse” (Isaiah 24:4-5, 19 TLB).

On Earth, everything is lost, abandoned, and confused. Even nature is groaning. We may wonder why God allowed sin and evil to enter the world; it’s because God wanted us to have a choice.

And we’re the ones who have chosen to cause evil. We’re the ones who are selfish and self-centered and cause problems in society and in our environment.

This Earth is not heaven. That’s why Jesus taught us to pray the Lord’s Prayer—”your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven” (Matthew 6:10 NIV). Heaven is a perfect place with no sorrow, sickness, sadness, or stress, but we shouldn’t expect heaven on Earth. One day we’ll get there, but we’re not there yet.

You will get through whatever trial you’re facing right now. Soon enough you will marvel at all that God did in the midst of your trouble as you look at it from the other side.

There will be more challenges to face and adversity to endure. But you can always hope in this truth: “Our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal” (2 Corinthians 4:17-18 NIV).

Hay un Propósito para tus Problemas en el Trabajo

“También nos alegramos al enfrentar pruebas y dificultades porque sabemos que nos ayudan a desarrollar resistencia. Y la resistencia desarrolla firmeza de carácter, y el carácter fortalece nuestra esperanza segura de salvación”. Romanos 5:3-4 (NTV)

¿Alguna vez has tenido un problema en el trabajo? Por supuesto que los tienes. Todos, sin importar dónde trabajen o con quién trabajan, han tenido algún tipo de problema en algún momento de su trabajo.

La Biblia te dice qué hacer con ese tipo de problemas: “También nos alegramos al enfrentar pruebas y dificultades porque sabemos que nos ayudan a desarrollar resistencia. Y la resistencia desarrolla firmeza de carácter, y el carácter fortalece nuestra esperanza segura de salvación” Romanos 5:3-4 (NTV).

Dios está mucho más interesado en tu carácter que en tu comodidad. Él está trabajando para perfeccionarte, no para mimarte. Su objetivo en tu vida y en tu trabajo no es hacerte sentir cómodo; su objetivo es ayudarte a crecer. Y usa los problemas de tu vida para hacer crecer tu carácter.

Cuando tengas un problema en el trabajo, no le preguntes a Dios por qué tienes ese problema. En lugar de eso, pregúntale a Dios: “¿Qué quieres que aprenda de esto? ¿Qué estás tratando de enseñarme? ¿Cuál es mi punto ciego? ¿En qué problema de carácter tengo que trabajar?”

Y cuando le preguntas a Dios, “¿Qué?” también recuerda esta simple verdad: Mientras estás trabajando, Dios está trabajando en ti.

A veces, la tentación será un problema para ti en el trabajo, ¡pero Dios puede usar incluso las tentaciones para tu bien! Muchos creyentes dicen que no les gusta trabajar con incrédulos porque esos incrédulos traen más tentaciones. Pero eso no es cierto. Serás tentado con los creyentes tanto como con los incrédulos. Y no es pecado ser tentado de todos modos; es solo un pecado ceder a la tentación. La Biblia dice que Jesús fue tentado en todos los sentidos, al igual que tú, y sin embargo nunca pecó.

Vas a ser tentado el resto de tu vida, sin importar dónde trabajes. Pero Dios puede usar esas tentaciones para bien. Él puede usarlos para construir el carácter. Cada vez que te sientas tentado, puedes tomar una decisión. Puedes elegir resistir la tentación, o puedes elegir actuar en consecuencia.

Cada vez que cedes, la tentación te hace daño. Cada vez que eliges hacer el bien, la tentación se convierte en un trampolín para el crecimiento.

Valleys Are a Part of Life

“Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me.”

Psalm 23:4 (NIV)

In Israel, on the road from Jerusalem to Jericho, there’s a canyon called the Valley of the Shadow of Death. In his day, King David probably traveled through it many times. Some of the canyons along the road to Jericho were narrow at the bottom and as tall as 800 feet. The only time you could see sunshine at the bottom was at noon when the sun was straight overhead. In the Bible, valleys are often a metaphor for times of darkness, despair, defeat, or discouragement.

Psalm 23:4 says, “Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me” (NIV). The Bible teaches that God is not just a part of your mountaintop experiences. He is also with you in the valleys. There are three things you need to remember about the valleys:

Valleys are a part of life. The Bible says in Deuteronomy 11:11, “The land you will soon take over is a land of hills and valleys” (NLT).

Valleys are inevitable. You likely just came out of a valley, are in the middle of one right now, or are headed into another one. There’s no way to avoid valleys while you’re on this Earth. Instead, you can count on them.

Valleys happen to everybody. They’re impartial. Good things happen to bad people, and bad things happen to good people. We live in a fallen and broken world, so we have problems. Nobody’s immune. Nobody’s insulated from pain. Nobody sails through life problem-free.

The Bible says, “The good man does not escape all troubles—he has them too. But the Lord helps him in each and every one” (Psalm 34:19 TLB).

Valleys are unpredictable. You can’t plan them. You can’t time them. Problems typically catch you off guard. In fact, your valleys and your problems usually come at the worst times—when you don’t have time, when you’re unprepared, and when it’s inconvenient. Wouldn’t it be easier if you could schedule all your valleys when you’re caught up on your sleep, your health is good, and nobody is bugging you? But life doesn’t work that way. Proverbs 27:1 reminds us, “Don’t brag about tomorrow, since you don’t know what the day will bring” (NLT).

When you know what to expect in the valleys of life, you know how to better prepare for them and keep trusting in God’s presence and provision.

Cuando Quieres Saber, “¿Cuánto Tiempo, Señor?”

“Fue por la fe que Moisés salió de la tierra de Egipto sin temer el enojo del rey. Siguió firme en su camino porque tenía los ojos puestos en el Invisible”. Hebreos 11:27 (NTV)

Muchas personas sufren de dolor prolongado, ya sea un dolor crónico físico, emocional, espiritual, relacional o financiero. Tal vez estés experimentando un sufrimiento prolongado y sientas que tendrás que soportarlo por el resto de tu vida.

Hemos estado hablando los últimos días sobre las pruebas que Dios te da para hacer crecer tu carácter, y esta es otra. Es la prueba de “Cuánto tiempo”, donde preguntas: “¿Cuánto tiempo, Señor?”

La Biblia cuenta cómo Moisés tenía una persistencia increíble. Soportó un dolor enorme en su vida. Soportó importantes críticas y conflictos. Tenía todo el derecho de decir: “¿Hasta cuándo, Señor?”

Hebreos 11:24-26 dice: “Fue por la fe que Moisés, cuando ya fue adulto, rehusó llamarse hijo de la hija del faraón. Prefirió ser maltratado con el pueblo de Dios a disfrutar de los placeres momentáneos del pecado. Consideró que era mejor sufrir por causa de Cristo que poseer los tesoros de Egipto, pues tenía la mirada puesta en la gran recompensa que recibiría” (NTV).

Moisés renunció a todo lo que muchas personas pasan su vida tratando de lograr: fama, fortuna, placer, posesiones y posición. Pero los dejó ir porque había puesto su fe e identidad en Dios. Confió en las promesas de Dios, aun cuando fue maltratado junto con el pueblo de Dios. Pensó que ser deshonrado por causa de Cristo valía más que los tesoros de Egipto, porque “él estaba mirando hacia su recompensa”.

La fe sigue persistiendo sin saber cuánto tiempo tendrás que aguantar. Y a veces eso es muy difícil. Entonces, ¿cómo continúas en la fe cuando estás sufriendo? ¿Cómo se desarrolla la resistencia? ¿Cómo manejas el dolor prolongado?

Haces lo que hizo Moisés: te acercas a Dios y te mantienes conectado para poder escuchar de Él.

Moisés tenía una zarza ardiente a través de la cual Dios le hablaba. Pero no necesitas una zarza ardiente porque tienes la Biblia. Todo lo que Dios quiere decirte está en la Biblia. Para ti, Dios no lo dirá a través de un arbusto ni lo escribirá en el cielo, porque ya lo escribió en un libro.

Deja de buscar una visión. En su lugar, comienza a buscar un versículo en la Palabra de Dios. Conocer la revelación, las instrucciones y las promesas de Dios te dará la capacidad de pasar la prueba de cuánto tiempo cuando estés pasando por un dolor prolongado.

Como Moisés, mantén tu enfoque donde pertenece. La Biblia dice que Moisés “Siguió firme en su camino porque tenía los ojos puestos en el Invisible” Hebreos 11:27 (NTV).

Si mantienes los ojos en tu dolor, no podrás mirar hacia arriba. Pero si mantienes tus ojos en tu Salvador, vas a atravesar las dificultades con su gracia.

When You Walk Through the Valley: Three Truths to Remember

“Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me.”

Psalm 23:4 (NIV)

You may not be in the valley of the shadow of death right now, but you may be in another valley. Valleys are the hard places on your journey, where it’s easy to doubt or overlook God’s goodness. But you can always trust that God walks through the valleys with you. And he’s promised to bring you through to the other side.

Psalm 23:4 says, “Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me” (NIV).

Here are three truths to remember when you are in the valley:

1. You are not alone. God is with you.
The shadows in your life are evidence of the presence of light. How do you deal with a shadow? You turn your back to the shadow and look at the light. Jesus said, “I am the light for the world! Follow me, and you won’t be walking in the dark. You will have the light that gives life” (John 8:12 CEV).

The Bible says that God is light and that in him there is no darkness at all. You need to stop focusing on the dark things that scare you: those bills, health concerns, or worries about your children or aging parents. When you move your focus off your fears, you can focus on the Father.

2. God has a good purpose for your valley.
God cannot do evil. Even when you’re facing problems, conflict, grief, fear, or failure, God is at work, creating good from your valley.

Romans 5:3-5 says, “We rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us” (ESV).

3. The reward will last forever.
You’re going to be rewarded for remaining faithful to Christ in the valley of failure, in the valley of fear, in the valley of conflict, in the valley of grief, and in the valley of trouble. You’ll be in heaven less than a minute before thinking, “Why did I complain so much? Why did I worry when I was going through those valleys? God was right there with me all the time, and he was good to me all the time.”

As the Bible says, “For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever!” (2 Corinthians 4:17 NLT).

Talk It Over

What do you fear most right now? What lies are you believing that are making you so afraid?

How can you be reminded of God’s goodness when you walk through your next valley or while you finish walking through the valley you’re in right now?
Why is it important to look for the good that God is working out while you’re in your valley and not just after you’ve come through to the other side?

Will you follow Jesus today?

God proved his goodness through his Son, Jesus Christ. The Bible says, “For God loved the world in this way: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16 CSB).

Are you ready to trust God to fulfill his promise of eternal life? If so, pray this simple prayer: "Dear God, I believe Jesus Christ is your Son. I confess I have sinned, and I ask for your forgiveness. I believe that Jesus died to take away my sins and that you raised him to life. I want to trust Jesus as my Savior and follow him as Lord from this day forward. Guide my life and help me to do your will. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen."

¿Imposible? Confía en Dios para la Respuesta

“Fue por la fe que hasta Sara pudo tener un hijo, a pesar de ser estéril y demasiado anciana. Ella creyó que Dios cumpliría su promesa”. Hebreos 11:11 (NTV)

Cuando Dios está haciendo crecer tu carácter, a veces te pondrá a prueba con lo que parece ser un problema irresoluble. Lo llamo la “Prueba de Cómo”. Es cuando preguntas: “¿Cómo voy a resolver esto?”

Dios le dio a Abraham lo que parecía un problema irresoluble. Dios le prometió a Abraham que lo trasladaría a un nuevo país, le daría la tierra en ese país y lo convertiría en el padre de una gran nación. También prometió que Abraham tendría tantos hijos, nietos y bisnietos, que poblarían toda la tierra.

En otras palabras, le iba a dar a Abraham, como herencia, una gran nación.

Pero aquí está la cosa: Abraham tenía 75 años y no tenía hijos cuando Dios le dio esta promesa. Se mudó a la tierra de Canaán, que eventualmente se llamaría Israel. Mientras estuvo allí, siguió esperando que su esposa quedara embarazada. A los 99 años, todavía no tenía un hijo.

Era lo que podría llamarse un problema irresoluble.

De hecho, la Biblia dice que cuando Dios les dijo a Abraham y Sara que iban a tener un bebé, se rieron. ¿Cómo iban a tener un bebé?

Esta fue su “Prueba de Cómo”. Hebreos 11:11 dice: “Fue por la fe que hasta Sara pudo tener un hijo, a pesar de ser estéril y demasiado anciana. Ella creyó que Dios cumpliría su promesa” (NTV). Llamaron al bebé Isaac, que significa “risa”.

“Así que una nación entera provino de este solo hombre, quien estaba casi muerto en cuanto a tener hijos; una nación con tantos habitantes que, como las estrellas de los cielos y la arena de la orilla del mar, es imposible contar” Hebreos 11:12 (NTV).

¡Dios sonrió de último!

Habrá muchos momentos en tu vida en los que Dios te diga que hagas algo que parece imposible. Pero Él no quiere que entiendas todo o sepas cómo hacer todo. Ni siquiera espera que siempre sepas el próximo paso a dar.

En cambio, Dios quiere que creas que Él lo sabe todo y que resolverá las cosas a su manera y en su tiempo. La fe es esperar un milagro sin saber cómo. Cuando muestras este tipo de fe, creces en carácter y te vuelves más como Jesús.
