*Release Week Blitz: Entwine by Rebecca Berto*

Sarah Langham’s life was the epitome of normal until her dad slept with another woman when she was sixteen. It ripped her family apart.
Twenty-two-year-old Sarah has it together, though.

Waiting at the train station to go home from her first day of her first proper job out of university, she spots a man.

He is an enigma to her. She’s drawn to him, with his square jaw; buzz of hair; and his tall, solid frame, seen under the contours of his business suit. And he’s been looking at her, too. Fate pulls them together that night on a whirlwind date, exceeding anything Sarah’s experienced before. He’s even more into her than she’s into him. Finally, she wants to trust a guy for the first time since she was sixteen.

But then they discover something.

Something that meant they were never two strangers at a train station.

And it threatens to tear their future apart before it, really, ever begins.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and I was excited to see how Rebecca would use her unique literary writing style in a genre that is somewhat new to her. Needless to say, it did not disappoint.
Sarah Langham see's a sexy stranger at a train station and has no idea how her life is about to become entwined with his. This stranger, who we later learn is Malik, is connected to Sarah in the most unexpected way, and for some reason they are drawn to each other.

The chemistry between the two is palpable, and despite their age difference, their connection is very real. Naturally, every story must have a twist and the proverbial villain, and while the villain(s) in this book are obvious, the twist and the very reason Sarah and Malik are connected, is something no one will see coming.

This book was thrilling to read, and the sexual chemistry was ((hot)). You will be rooting for Sarah and Malik even more, and wishing for their story to continue for just a little while longer!

Overall, I'd say this book is a great read that puts a new spin on Contemporary Romance.

Excerpt
The first time Sarah saw Him, he was leaning up against a pillar at Flinders Street Station, knee bent against the wall, checking the time on his watch. At five thirty, after her first day as a junior editor, she still hadn’t stopped trembling with excitement. She’d memorised the names of all the workers in her team, and loved the way she walked into the office and it smelt of warm paper, straight out of the printer. There must have been at least six printers on the one floor alone. Now, at the train station, she supposed it made sense this man stood out. She was on alert and he was impossible to miss. Eyes peeled, she noticed him, as if he were a photograph, the aperture turned low so the bustle of other passersby blurred out.She sat on her seat, waiting, pretending to text on her mobile. Now and then she’d look up as if wondering, “When’s the train coming?” Like she’d forgotten. Under her lashes, or from a casual glance sweeping the platform, she’d look at something new on him.First it was his jaw. Sarah didn’t know why a strange man’s jawline mattered, but it did. She could imagine the sharp turn as she traced from ear down to his chin, and back up to his other ear with her finger. She imagined all her old poster pin-ups. Sarah wasn’t a fussy girl. She had James Dean, Elvis Presley, Bon Jovi, Brad Pitt, Zac Efron, and even the Hemsworth brothers. By far, this man’s jawline was as good or better—sharp, yet smooth enough to want to touch. She looked up again but thought he saw her, so she quickly took stock of a mother pushing a pram, another small child holding its side bar and stomping along. She looked further up and saw that she had two minutes left before her train really did arrive.Sarah had never wanted a train to be late before, although they always were with Melbourne’s crazy rail system. Today, she did. The guys in her lectures and tutes back in university were always man-whores or geeks or already taken. Now, at her first proper full-time job, she only had one man in her team and she didn’t have hopes for him, since she was sure that lunchtime phone call was to his “love”, and that “love” sounded like a man. Sarah wasn’t greedy. One man would do, and he didn’t have to be the best looking or the kindest, but he had to be right for her. And she couldn’t pick if there would be something wrong with this man leaning against the pillar, waiting for his train, but she hoped that maybe he’d catch the same line as her and she’d get to wonder about him longer. The third time she looked up she noticed more of him, more details here and there. He didn’t have a briefcase, but he was in perfectly ironed suit pants, leather dress shoes and a light peach shirt, one button undone lower than most businessmen she saw. The shirt’s waist tapered in to hug him at his hips. She figured that he naturally filled out the chest, shaping a perfect V, and the rolled up sleeves showed off the hint of corded forearms that stirred her imagination more. He had a buzz of hair covering his head, just enough to draw attention to the sexy contours of his face and body.Just then, the lady over the speaker announced the train was arriving and Sarah stood, just as everyone else. She looped her handbag over her shoulder and found her way just behind the yellow line, choosing to walk diagonal, inwards, so that she stood mere metres from the man. The doors opened, and the people on the platform waited for the people onboard to get off. Sarah, though, turned to the man, and watched him pull out his mobile, then put it away just as quickly. He looked up, and Sarah’s initial thought was Quick! Oh my God, pretend you were staring at something odd behind him! but those silly cover-ups only made people look worse, so she decided to embrace this chance and offer a little smile—but she chickened out halfway and had to drop her gaze to the floor, not even able to hide her smile. The ground in front of her started emptying, so she waded her way through with the other people desperate to find a seat.If Sarah had her way she’d clamp her bag under her arm, make sure her heels were steady and then make a run to the nearest two seats free, fling her handbag on the spare one in front of her, and let that man sidestep through the knees of others in the seat arrangement and sit in front of her. In front was always better, because men had long legs. She’d learnt the pros and cons of sitting in front of men on trains before. Many times, smelly men or big men had their legs opened wide, and Sarah had to close her smaller ones between them with little gap spacing. Or, she would have to cross her legs and get a cramp trying to keep her crossed leg bent back, so as not to touch them. But Sarah’s thoughts … that’s all they were. There were a few seats here and there, but neither Sarah nor the man got any. He could have, but he held out his hand and let that mother through, with the pram and her small child. Sarah found herself liking him even more. Her last boyfriend had loved the clubs in the city and it was at one of them, not far from here, that he’d kissed his other girlfriend who Sarah never knew about. Or, not until she’d decided to surprise him that night and found her legs around his, his hands cupping under her ass in a section away from the dance floor.Although this man didn’t sit next to her, he did find a spare pole to grab onto in the train carriage, and Sarah found one opposite him. He once again noticed her, but Sarah hadn’t been looking this time. He must have been doing some staring of his own.Sarah wondered if this man had been doing the same thing the whole time Sarah had her own game going. She wondered this as the train took off and they stood almost in reaching distance, both with a hand holding the pole next to them. Sarah wondered which stop he’d get off at.

SynopsisMy life was perfectly mapped out for me since before the day I was born. I followed it, begrudgingly, because it’s what was expected.

And then one day, everything changed.

I woke up.

Different. Independent. Free from all the rules that had surrounded me.

Only I have no idea how I got to where I am. I have no memory of graduating college. No memory of Adam, the boyfriend I live with.

He loves me. And I love him. At least that’s what everyone says.

Except when my memories return to me as dreams, I see a different man than the one everyone claims is perfect for me.

He terrifies me. He makes my heart race and he makes me feel things I’ve never felt before.

I have no idea if I want to welcome the emotional roller-coaster that his piercing brown eyes and messy black hair puts me on every time I get a glimpse of him, or if I want to run back to the safe shelter of the scripted life-plan that used to be mine.

ExcerptMy booted cast scrapes across the pavement. My ankle hurts and my arm is itchy from my cast. The staples in the back of my head were removed last week. Now all I have is a square patch of hair that is just beginning to grow back. I have a gash on my right side that runs from my hip bone almost to my breast. It looks like someone tried to slash me open with a jagged edged knife. The skin is healing, the stitches are innumerable, and every time I turn my torso it feels like someone is trying to rip my kidney out with their bare hands.

There was a hiking accident. That’s all I know. The rest is being left up to my memory that my doctors have assured me will return. How in the hell do they know? What if I never remember? It’s been weeks since I woke up from my coma and I don’t remember anything more than the fact that I live with a stranger and I don’t like him when I dream.

I’m still resting against the side of Adam’s car, fingering the back of my scalp when he comes outside. He stands next to me, crossing his feet at the ankles. We don’t touch. That small whisper of a touch he gave me in the doorway is the first time his hands have touched me since I the day I tripped in our kitchen. His arms reached out and caught me and I froze, paralyzed by having his hands on me. He shook his head, sighed, grabbed his keys and left the apartment and didn’t come back for two hours. When he did, the scent of beer laced his breath.

“I’m sorry I keep getting frustrated with you, Ames.” His head falls and he runs a hand down the front of his face. “I just miss you.”

His voice trembles a little bit and he sounds sad. He looks sad. I wonder what it would feel like to see him smile again like he did the night in my dream. Until the blonde girl, Tina, jumped into his arms he seemed happy to see me. Was he? Was I a game? If so, why am I still here? I press my fingers to my temples, hoping to stave off the beginning thumps of another headache.

“Who’s Tina?”

ABOUT THE THRILL OF IT:
A new adult story of Love. Sex. Addiction.
Blackmail. And Power...

Some say love can
be an addiction. Others say it's the thing that makes life worth living. Let me
tell you everything I know about love...Love isn't patient, love isn't kind.
Love is a game, a chase. A thrill. Love is wild and war-like, and every man and
woman must fight for themselves. At least that's how it was for me. A
high-priced virgin call girl by the time I started college, I was addicted to
love and to sex. Even though I've never had either. I controlled love, played
it, and held the world in the palm of my hands. Then I fell down from those
highs, and I'm being blackmailed for all my mistakes, forced to keep secrets
from everyone, except the only guy I don't regret.

Trey...

With all the other
women, I knew what they were. They were temporary. They were pills, they were
bottles, they took away all the pain, and numbed the awful memories that wore
down my ragged, wasted heart. Until I met Harley. She's the only girl I ever
missed when she walked away. But now she's back in my life, every day, and
there are no guarantees for us, especially since I don't know how to tell her
my secrets. What happened to my family. All I know is she's the closest I've
ever come to something real, and I want to feel every second of it.

How can you love
with no regrets when regret is all you know?

Excerpt
I made reservations for dinner at Bertrand at Mister A’s.  Be ready to go in two hours.  Tonight, you’re mine.            Jillian read the text message from her husband and shivered in anticipation.  Short, brief, and to the point.  She loved that Dean was being so spontaneous, and she especially liked the possessive slant in his message, which meant there was more to this evening than a romantic meal out.  She also appreciated the advance notice, which meant she could take her time getting ready.              She headed up to the master bathroom.  After getting undressed, she shaved her legs then ran a hot bath, adding a generous amount of Jasmine botanical oil to soften and scent her skin.  She piled her long, thick hair atop her head, and once the Jacuzzi tub was filled she immersed herself into the steaming bath, closed her eyes, and let the silky warmth soothe her body.  In time, drowsy and relaxed, she dozed off until the most delicious, decadent dream slowly cajoled her awake again.                “Wake up, sleeping beauty,” a deep voice whispered huskily, while a large, strong palm curved around her breast beneath the water and skillful fingers plucked at her nipples, making them harden into stiff points.              She moaned softly, struggling between waking up and wanting to see how the tempting fantasy ended.  A talented thumb swirled around her sensitive areola before a very masculine hand gently squeezed her breast.              “Open your eyes, baby girl.”            Dean’s voice beckoned to her, as did the fingers lazily trailing their way down her stomach and around her navel.  With effort, she blinked her eyes open and stared into her husband’s handsome face.  He was sitting on the tiled step beside the tub, his shirt off, half of his tanned arm beneath the surface of water.  She frowned, her mind gradually processing the fact that he was home, that she’d fallen asleep, and she wasn’t ready for their dinner date yet.             She quickly sat up, nearly sloshing water over the side of the tub.  “Oh, my God.  Am I late?”            His big hand grasped her thigh, holding her in place when she would have tried to stand up.  “No, I’m home early.  I wanted to take a shower and shave before we go out, but I came in here and found you taking a nap, looking so sweet and peaceful, and I couldn’t resist coaxing you awake. ”            She settled back down into the silky, scented, now luke-warm water and smiled at Dean.  “I’m definitely awake, but I wouldn’t mind being coaxed a bit more.”He arched a dark sable brow, a glimpse of humor dancing in the gray depths of his eyes.  “You’re becoming a shameless hussy.”“You bring out the shameless hussy in me.”  And since he was her husband, she could be as promiscuous as she dared, which was such an incredibly freeing sensation.  “I think you need to finish what you started.”His fingers brushed along the inside of her thigh in a teasing caress.  “Do you now?”“Yes, I do.”  She opened her legs wider in invitation and moaned when two long fingers slid inside her core and his thumb rubbed oh-so-enticingly against her clitoris.“Such a demanding, bossy thing.”  He inclined his head, staring at her thoughtfully for a moment before his expression took on a darker, more commanding edge, the one that made her pulse flutter and her body come alive.  “I think you need to learn patience and restraint, and tonight, I’m going to teach you that very important lesson.  That good things, like orgasms, come to those who learn to wait.”He curled his free hand around the nape of her neck and tipped her head up, just as his mouth came down on hers.  His kiss was slow and deep and breathlessly sexy, the kind that seduced not only the mind, but every erogenous zone in her body.  His tongue slid against hers and withdrew, then thrust in again, while his fingers adopted the same lazy in-and-out rhythm in her aching sex.   And like the shameless hussy she was, she moved wantonly against his hand.  Her back arched, lifting her breasts out of the water, her nipples tightening as the pleasure built, and built, and built toward a spectacular climax, contradicting his statement that he was going to make her wait.    She gasped against his lips, on the verge of coming . . . and then his touch, and his mouth, were completely and utterly gone, leaving her bereft and deprived.  Those nerve endings he’d roused screamed for release and she couldn’t contain the mewling sound of disappointment that escaped her.  Opening her eyes, she stared up at Dean and the smug satisfaction curving his sensual mouth.  “You did that on purpose.”“Patience and restraint,” he reminded her as he stood up, the outline of his hard cock visible beneath the fabric of his pants.  Brazenly, she skimmed her hands down her stomach and toward her still throbbing pussy as he watched, knowing she could easily finish herself off without his help.  Just a few strokes against her clit would be enough to give her body what it desperately craved.  His gaze narrowed and his jaw clenched tight.  “Don’t you dare give yourself that orgasm I know you want so badly.  I’ll give it to you when I feel you’ve earned it.”   Jillian shivered at his stern, uncompromising tone.  She was so very tempted to disobey, just to suffer whatever delicious consequence he’d dole out, but decided to play this game his way.  For now.  Clearly, it was going to be a very long, and exciting, night.

About the Author

Erika Wilde (aka Janelle Denison) is the USA Today bestselling author of over 50 contemporary romances for multiple print publishers.

So, why the new pen name?

As Janelle Denison I’ve always written sexy books, but lately my writing has taken on more erotic elements that I wanted to keep separate for readers because not everyone likes their reading material on the spicier, kinkier side of romance. However, please be assured that even as Erika Wilde, you will still get an emotionally layered story with characters you’ll care about and fall in love with. That is always my goal, whether I’m writing straight contemporary romances, or more erotically charged stories.

Currently, I’m working on The Marriage Diaries and making sure that Dean and Jillian enjoy exploring the more erotic side to their marriage. The series will be on-going, with no foreseeable ending as of right now, for as long as readers want to be voyeurs to Dean and Jillian’s sizzling new relationship.

I’m also planning a spin-off series in the future, featuring the hot military men that work security for Dean at Noble and Associates. My next book, THE INVITATION, will introduce the men of that new series, THE PLAYERS CLUB.

I pressed my hard body against hers, forcing her body to stay unmoving between me and the hard wood door. My hand slowly moved from the soft skin on her exposed thigh, to the warmth of her lower back. Her skin felt like a live wire of electricity flowing beneath my touch. I needed her. *Release Day Blitz: Tease by Missy Johnson*

Male escort.

That got your attention.

Some of the most powerful and well known women in the country pay to have sex with me, some of them married. Some are into more than just straight sex, which is why they call me. Bondage, power play, submission…nothing is off the table. I will do anything for the right price.

The stories I could tell you about a certain high profile congresswoman, or that innocent blonde actress. Trust me, she’s not so innocent.

Guys would kill for my job. I’m living the fucking dream. Meaningless sex, no relationship hang-ups and I’m rolling in the dough. Life is perfect, just the way it is.

Until I meet her.

She changes everything.

She makes me want more than I’ve ever wanted for myself and she believes in me. But she also thinks I sell insurance. I can’t stop what I do, but I can’t give her up.

Eventually, my two worlds are going to collide and when they do, shit will hit the fan.

TeaseReview byMichelle

I generally stick to YA and NA for my reading pleasure. However, I don’t mind a little more of an “adult” subject matter at times and I definitely have no aversion to some tasteful “smut” ;) Therefor I was intrigued when I read the synopsis of Tease…super hot male escort? Yes, I could definitely get into this and boy, did I! While I anticipated some super HOT, kinky sex (which this book DID deliver in a BIG way), I was not expecting a nice little love story as well.
Tease is the story of Liam Cooper...known to all as Coop. He has been working as an escort for the last 8 years. While this is not Coop’s profession of “choice”, he does it in order to support his mother who is battling Alzheimer’s. Coop is generous to a fault and would do anything for his family. He is a very likeable guy who also happens to be very talented in the bedroom! Coop does not complain about the cards he has been dealt and makes the most of his lifestyle. He treats his clients with the utmost respect and manages to “enjoy” his work as well...a hardship I am sure ;) Coop is content with his life and works hard to not get involved in any type of a relationship as he knows no woman would be accepting of his line of work. Everything is going well for Coop...his mom is taken care of...he has some great friends...an amazing apartment...more money than he can spend AND he gets to have sex on almost a daily basis. Yeah, life is pretty good….until...enter one Mia Westfield!
Mia is a blast from Coop’s past and the object of his adolescent desire. The two grew up together and Coop always had a huge crush on Mia. In fact, Mia gave Coop one of his first sexual experiences :) Mia is recently divorced and has just moved back to the city where she reconnects with Coop’s sister, Nic, who was Mia’s best friend growing up. The two drifted apart after Mia and her parents moved when she was 14. Sparks fly instantly between Mia and Coop when they meet up for a weekend get away with Nic and her family. Things only get more intense when Mia temporarily moves in with Coop while she hunts for an apartment.
They both try to fight the attraction but it is just inevitable. Mia doesn’t want another relationship so soon after her divorce and Coop feels he can’t be with her due to his job. He is feeling more and more guilty at having to hide his profession from his family and from Mia. They all think he works in insurance. Unfortunately, something bad happens during one of Coop’s “dates” and he is forced to come clean to everyone. Mia is of course devastated and shuts Coop out. Coop has at this point realized he wants to be with Mia and is willing to do whatever it takes to make this happen.

Can these two get their happily ever after? Will Coop figure out a way to quit the escort business and still take care of his mom? I would recommend this read if you like a lot of dirty sex with your romance.  It is NOT for the faint of heart so be warned. Some of Coop’s client have VERY peculiar tastes and you get all the dirty details :) This book was a 3.5 star read for me! It could have easily been 4 stars with just a smidge more character development and I would have liked to see Mia and Coop’s relationship develop just a bit more. Overall, the writing is very good and I would recommend this book :)

EXCERPT:

“Tell me your name.” A shiver runs down my spine at the
commanding, deep voice that sounds in my ear. I keep myself still, trying my
best not to react considering we’re surrounded by at least a hundred people,
but oh, how I want to.If I could, I’d throw myself into the arms
of the man who’s standing far too close to me.
He’s demanding to know my name as if I owe him some sort of favor, which
I can’t help but find hot.Irritating, but hot.“Tell me yours first,” I murmur in return,
turning my head in the opposite direction, so it appears I’m not even talking
to him. He stands behind me, tall and broad, imposing in his immaculate black
suit and crisp white shirt—the silvery tie he wears perfectly knotted at his
throat.I might not be looking at this very
moment, but I’d memorized everything about him the moment I first saw him not
an hour ago. He’d drawn plenty of attention without saying a word, striding
into the room as if he owned it, casting that calculating gaze upon everyone in
attendance. Looking very much like the mighty king observing his lowly
subjects—until his eyes lit upon me.He watched me for long, agonizing minutes.
Butterflies fluttered in my stomach as I felt his hungry eyes rake over my
body, and for a terrifying moment I wondered if he could see right through me.
I shifted the slightest bit, inwardly cursing myself for coming tonight, but I
held firm. I refused to react.I still refuse to react.“You don’t know who I am?” He sounds
amused at the notion, and I’m tempted to walk away without a word. My earlier
nerves evaporate, replaced by a steely spine and an even steelier attitude.
He’s so confident, so arrogant, I’m sure he believes he has me.He doesn’t know who he’s dealing with
then, does he?We’re at a local wine- and
brewery-tasting, and I’m here representing the bakery my family owns. The one I
was recently allowed to take over and run since I’d graduated college. The
business they all believe is going to fail. So
why not give it to Marina? She can’t screw it up too badly.
That’s what I overheard my father telling
my uncle. The memory of his words still cuts straight to the bone. Finally I chance a glance at the man
behind me, drinking in his thick brown hair tinged with gold, the way it
tumbles across his forehead, his twinkling green eyes, the faint smile that
curves his full lips. The combination gives him a boyish appearance. It’s a
complete illusion because there is nothing boyish about this virile man before
me.“Perhaps you can enlighten me.” I offer a
carefree smile and turn to face him, the nerves returning tenfold when he takes
a step toward me, invading my personal space. His scent hits me first: clean
and subtle, a mixture of soap and just . . . him. No
cologne that I can detect.Rather unusual. Most of the men I know
slather themselves in expensive scents all with the purpose of drawing us silly
women in. Instead, they end up choking us.With the exception of this man. I find the
uniqueness refreshing.A slow smile appears, revealing perfectly
straight white teeth. “Gage Emerson.” He thrusts his hand toward me. “And you are . . .?”He’s not very subtle. And he’s exactly who
I suspected, not that I had any real doubt. The very man who recently bought up
what feels like half of the Napa Valley, all in the hopes of turning it around
and selling it to God knows who just to earn a hefty profit. Not caring in the least that he’s forever
changing the landscape of the very place I’ve grown up in. And devastating my
family in the process.“Marina Knight,” I say. God, I sound
breathless, and I want to smack myself. I’m not here tonight because of him. I
came for other reasons. To promote the family bakery, to mix and mingle with
local business owners, many I consider friends. My life in the Napa Valley is
all I know. And this gorgeous man standing in front of
me is trying to take what I know away from me for good.

Teaser(Flashback)His heart dropped when he watched her walk into the room. He ignored the snickers and whispers and followed her with his eyes as she walked to one of two remaining seats in his class. Both up front. She had no choice. She’d have to be close to him. When realization dawned that he was the guy from Highway 28, the fear on her face was unmistakable. He felt no such fear. He felt extreme disappointment. And hopelessness. And then, there was the matter of her orange jumpsuit. He didn’t know how to address it or if he even should address it. A large part of him said to leave it alone. She was clearly being bullied, and she thought she would try to turn the tables. But she looked ridiculous. She had to know it. He wasn’t sure if she’d actually won or just thought she did. He tried for a gentle, non-confrontational approach.“Cadence, you might wanna go change,” he said softly. Her eyes went wide. He wasn’t sure why. And then it hit him. He said her name! Yes, he remembered her name. How could he ever forget that name? Cadence. Rhythmic. His song. His life. He decided that afternoon on the side of the road. She was his cadence. It was an alarming moment of clarity now muddled by the realization that she was his student. He thought God was playing another cruel joke on him.

I am huge fan of S. Walden's books, and after reading Good, I was curious to see how the sequel and conclusion to Mark and Cadence's story would play out.

While this book is about Mark & Cadence's relationship, and how they adapt to living together as a couple, I feel like this was more Mar's story, much in the same way I feel like Good was more Cadence's story. We learn about who he was before Cadence, and what he's been hiding. As in the first book, Cadence, more so than Mark, is faced with moral dilemma's and challenges that most people her age are facing - figuring out who she is, what she wants to do with her life, how she experiences college, her internal struggles and her need to grow up faster because of her relationship with Mark.

Throughout this book, it is Cadence who shows growth as a character, while Mark simply comes to terms with his past, and tries to be the man he feels Cadence deserves. Together, they find a way to navigate their relationship while dealing with society's narrow-minded opinion about their relationship, and Mark learns how to give Cadence the freedom he feels he's taken away from her because of their age difference. He also encourages her to explore, and experience new things, and finds that making her happy, in every way possible, is what him happy in turn.

While I loved this book, and it's characters, I would have liked to have been inside Mark and Cadence's heads in this story, like I was in the first - instead, it was like reading an amazing story, standing on the outside while looking in.

Best part of this book? The epilogue - I don't think the author could have done a BETTER job. It was perfect :)

I look down his body, taking in the clothes, dripping wet and sticking to his body like a second skin. That’s when I notice I was about to go into the pool before he saved me.

It’s hard to figure out what happens next. My thoughts are scattered and making no sense. I just know he did something nice for me and I want to thank him. So I lift up on my toes and place my lips against his, super soft. I let off just as quickly, thinking how soft his lips are and I want to kiss him again. “Thank you.”

He doesn’t let me go, and he doesn’t say anything. He just stares at my lips. I’m mesmerized by the look in his eyes. Its all heat and male. Primal. Oh sweet Jesus. The rain is freezing but I don’t notice, I’m too drunk and too turned on.

Heat blasts from his body, keeping me close to him. He doesn’t stop staring and I don’t know what to do. My thighs are tingling and my body aches for him to touch me. It seems like I’ve waited years for him to touch me. I lift back up on my toes and right before my lips meet his, I say, “Kiss me.” It’s a demand and it’s a plea.

I notice his breathing is heavy, just like mine. His fingers tightened when I demanded he kiss me, and it seems like forever before he moves. Those amazing lips slam down on mine and I erupt. My arms go around his neck and right into his hair. He’s too tall for me, so I jump up and wrap my legs around him. His palms immediately go to my thighs, and then under my dress.

It’s not long before he’s using his tongue to pry my mouth open. The warmth and taste of him, hits me like a ton of bricks. I moan around his lips and clutch him tighter to me. Then I’m being set down on something cold and wet.

I open my eyes and break away. I didn’t even notice us moving but now I’m sitting on the hood of my car. Channing though, he doesn’t let me get away for long. His lips are back on mine and his tongue is demanding my submission. His taste is so powerful it nearly knocks me over. Warm spice, mint, and whiskey. Mmmmm.

He breaks away from my lips, and starts trailing his up and down my neck. I’m panting so hard; it’s a wonder I don’t pass out from lack of oxygen. My hands leave his neck to go under his shirt. We both groan when my hands touch his skin. His abs are toned and a little more packed than they looked.

I’m growing impatient, so I try to rip the thing off of him. Then I realize it has buttons so I do rip it open. Buttons fly everywhere but I don’t care. His golden skin is on display and I want to touch him. So I do.

His chest is broader than it looks, blocking out the rest of the world while I’m pressed to it. His lips start sucking deeply at my neck, before he bites me, gently. I moan and press against him. The softness of me meets the hardness of him. That makes him bite hard, so I start grinding on it.

Boy does that feels good.

His lips come back up to mine, and then his tongue is there, thrusting against mine. I moan when his hands reach my panties. They never left my ass. He was just sitting there squeezing it. That felt amazing too. I think he is going to stop me, or at least touch me, but he doesn’t.

He lets my lips go, only to set his forehead against mine. I’m lost in the way he looks right now. There is total rapture on his gorgeous face. Like he’s never done anything better than this. I don’t really blame him, because I feel the same way.

*Exclusive Blog Tour & Spotlight: Better by S. Walden*

Hi Brats! We have a spotlight stop today on the exclusive bog tour for S. Walden's 'Better', the much anticipated sequel and conclusion to 'Good' :) Haven't read Good yet? Stop. Buy it now. Read it.

Synopsis Their relationship has been exposed, and now their lives are changed forever.
For Cadence Miller, the fast track to adulthood proves intimidating and frustrating. She’s a little girl lost—abandoned by her parents and uncertain of her future. She doesn’t think she “fits” anywhere. She’s eighteen. She wants to be older. And the result is both comical and heartbreaking.
Mark Connelly will do anything to provide Cadence a stable, loving home—to be her protector. But he’s just as broken and lost, and his heart won’t let go of his past so easily. He knows he must share his secret with Cadence. And he hopes his revelation won't tear them apart. He hopes it will draw them closer, and make their love better.

Teaser 1
Mark sat in his car staring through the windshield. Any minute now, Cadence, dressed in graduation robe and cap, would round the corner with her brother and Fanny. All he wanted was to see her smile. He knew her parents didn’t show up. They made their intentions clear three nights ago when Cadence called home to speak to her mother. After she hung up, she told Mark she didn’t care that they refused to attend, but he awoke later that night to the sounds of her soft cries. She was curled up lying close to the edge of the bed, far away from him. He reached out to touch her, then stopped. Something told him not to, that it’d be disastrous if he tried to comfort her. So he left her alone. The next morning she was bright and cheery and as fake as he’d ever seen her.He drummed his fingers on the steering wheel. “Please smile. Please smile. Please smile.”He thought back to the first time he saw her really smile. She grinned at him on the side of Highway 28, but it wasn’t until she sat on a metal bench in the bus parking lot on the first day of school that he saw a real smile. She giggled about the names she’d been calling him, revealing pretty teeth with one imperfection. She had a calcium deposit on her eye tooth. Yeah, he’d noticed. And he recalled feeling like a total creep for liking it so much.
