So That’s Why

I managed to cut myself on glass about a week ago and wondered why it was still sore. Not all the time, but just sometimes. It wasn’t infected or anything, but it was a bit sore once in a while a little over a week later.

Turned out there was still a good size piece of glass in there, about the size of a fingernail clipping.

Not a big deal. A Pyrex type dish broke in the kitchen. I was really carefully cleaning it up, but didn’t notice quite how far the glass had gone (I hadn’t been present when it broke so I didn’t see). Dragged the top of my big toe over a decent size piece, apparently.

It seemed like it was out, but I guess not. I didn’t want to rip apart the cut to check. It didn’t feel like anything was in there, but I guess it went in at an angle. I changed the band-aid this morning and felt a hard something at the edge of the cut, and not like a scab. I prodded a little, and a piece of glass the size of the cut pulled out.

No wonder. I bet it will heal better now.

Imma Share This Here Too

I already posted this on Facebook and Twitter, but I’m going to share this here too:

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but when you lift that flagstone in the deserted courtyard and descend the stone steps into the subterranean garden, don’t touch a single item of the treasure you see until you grab the enchanted tinderbox at the end.

This could be important.

Maybe The Spam Comments Aren’t So Wrong After All

I just deleted a spam comment off of here that only said:

I made a decision to ship flowers with prosecco.

I started thinking: You know, they ain’t wrong. That is a good decision.

We may have reached the point where the spam comments have better ideas than the real readers. What do we do at that point?

Remember What I Said?

Remember what I said about one of my cats getting snuggly every morning when I was trying to get on the computer, making this difficult?

Yeah, that’s still happening. Every morning.

Context Is Everything

Context is everything. Recently, I heard someone talking about Popovich. Turns out, they meant this:

I thought they meant:

The context yields pretty different thoughts from the same word.
