What will be will be...
So, if you have been following my blogs lately, you'll know I had a trip to Savannah, Georgia for a book tour, well, as you can see, I survived!!
I faced my fears, and did it all my own way and thoroughly embraced the whole experience from start to finish, collapsing in a heap back home after extensive travelling with very little sleep.
I met countless people, readers, paranormal enthusiasts, spirits. Made new friends, who became my sisters. Sweat so much I don't think I peed properly for the whole week due to the high temperatures!!! Ate American pancakes!! Ate waffle fries, garden burger (best ever at Betty Bombers) had a liver full of various cocktails, martini's, ale and very strong coffee!! I was introduced to some beautiful bookshops and met so many kind people who wanted to talk to me about my books, ghosts and Wales!
I did not finish my sixth novel whilst waiting to fly home - too many distractions, but I got two more chapters done so, not bad really!
I spoke with spirits from Savannah, some were pleasant, others, not so much. A young man calling me a 'whore' merely because I applied lipstick on my dry lips during a visit to Colonial cemetery - cheeky bugger!!
I did catch orbs and a voice, perhaps an apparition at Sorrell Weed House, Savannah, which can be found on my fb page - I'd love your opinions.
So, all in all, I sold books, met new people, ate and drank till I was full and jumped right into the American spirit world! Not bad for a six day trip!!

Facing my public
Do you find it easy to talk to people?
I get asked this quite a lot because, being an author I meet lots of people.
Being a medium, I meet lots of dead people.
So, you'd think it would be easy by now? Wrong!
Before every book signing, book sale, book talk, workshop, author appearance, my stomach is doing severe flip flops and my heart is pounding so hard I think my boobs might fall off!!
I am terrified, so imagine, if you will, how I am feeling today. Nine days until I fly across the ocean to America to meet Americans. Oct 3-9th
I haven't flown in 22 years. The airport terrifies me. The flight, not so much, I used to love flying, but all the new rules flabbergasts me! Getting there, alone, and finally meeting in person, one of my publishers, at Doce Blant, along with other authors for the Tybee Pirate festival and various author appearances around Savannah, Georgia.
I've been asked to do an investigation at a haunted house in Savannah, but I prefer to go in blind (No information) so I'm not influenced by anything.
I'm meeting authors and possibly fans during a lunch at The Pirate House, Savannah.
I'm at B&N, Savannah
I'm being interviewed by the company who are turning Diary of Margery Blake into an audio drama.
I will be meeting fans of the paranormal and getting to know other authors for a week.
Do you think my nerves can take it?
So, if you come along to Savannah, Georgia or/and Tybee Island, and see a quivering, pale, forty something woman - that's me!! Make me feel welcome, buy a book, smile at me, laugh with me, give me a hug, lets chat over coffee, come along to the investigation, have lunch with me and other authors.
Help make my visit to America as wonderful as it can be - I will :)

Woman living her Passion
I wonder how many women truly live?
I wonder how many women live their full spectrum of emotions?
I like to think I do, but on reflection, I doubt it. Women wear so many masks, I wonder do we know when, if, we take them off?Women are so many things to so many people in our lifetime. Speaking for myself, I am:
Woman, Mother, wife, daughter, sister, author, counsellor, holistic therapist, medium, drummer, dancer, singer, friend, lover, dog walker, butler to three cats - the list could go on if I really think about it, but did you notice something... When did I write, ME?I must be me, first and foremost, however, it is very difficult to find those moments, but they must be found, or how can I truly be anything else to everyone else?

Yes, it is finally happening!
I finally learned how to do audio properly!
Big achievement for someone learning computer stuff.
So I say, hell yes! Go and do whatever makes you happy, so long as it hurts no one.
Go out and face your fears - do it anyway.
You do not need validation from anyone. You are your own worst enemy, or your best friend.
It took months of going through hours after hours of frustration when it was constantly knocked back for one reason or another and I'd have to start again - but then, what a wonderful, fabulous feeling when it was accepted.
If you are going through anything frustrating, tiresome, hurtful, negative, know this - it will end and rejoice when it does to the fullest, because you deserve to feel that joy, that feeling of achievement, because you hung in there and did it anyway.
Smile, love, treat yourself and think about your next task to conquer.
Oh, BTW, almost forgot, this book, will be an audio drama next year - so who knows where that might lead...

Audio books - what do you think?

What do you think of audio? Prefer them to reading? or do you like to touch the book, feel the paper and immerse completely in the story that is unfolding?
I have a confession to make. I have never listened to an audio book. When in my car driving, I listen to music. When reading, I prefer to read a paperback book. I didn't like people reading to me as a child. For me, reading and immersing myself completely into a book was a private affair.
I have spoken with many people who agree with me, but also met a lot of people who have found a growing joy from listening to books, whether it is in the car, bus, train, or sitting in the garden, home or park. The growing number of people preferring audio astounded me and so I am excited for the audio drama's to come out to the world next year.
Yes, that's right. Sorry folks. The audio drama's have been delayed a whole year which is frustrating as from what I've heard so far, they are brilliant, exactly like a film, but they must be perfect and so, a slight delay is preferable than throwing out any old nonsense - right?
So, audio or paperback/e-book - what's your preference? Does it matter as long as the story invokes emotion and interest?

What is coming?

I feel like this and have done for a while. I am waiting for so many wonderful things to occur, my feet are getting restless! :)
Diary of Margery Blake is coming to America with me in October for my Savannah book tour with Doce Blant publishing. (More info soon)
Diary of Margery Blake is due out as an audio drama later this summer. Delays have meant I haven't seen the script yet, but have been assured any time now.

Narrating another authors book later in the year, details to follow.
Working on my non-fiction book, Thirteen Hauntings - getting responses from haunted locations around Wales. Moving out into England now. If you have a haunted location, pub, home, workplace - contact me, perhaps I can help.

Life does not stop. It moves at a pace which defines how I feel at any given time. Right now it is frustration and restlessness, but trust is also strong, that all will fit into place when it is meant to.

Coming to America!
OMG!!
Yes, I am travelling across the sea to meet my American readers. I have been asked to attend the Tybee Pirate festival and visit book stores around Savannah, Georgia, the haunted capital of USA - apparently!
So my book tour of Echoes with www.doceblantpublishing.com will be between 3-9th October 2018.
I will be selling and signing books along with offering spirit readings at half price to a few lucky readers who buy my book within a limited time at the pirate festival.
(More info on this nearer the time so keep watching my blogs)
Along with signing and chatting about books, I am visiting cemeteries and haunted locations to meet any spirits who would like to chat. A pirate house, brothel (Old one!!) and two particular cemeteries if time.
If you have any suggestions for a haunted location in the Savannah area - perhaps you live in Savannah and have a haunting you need help with, let me know and I'll see what I can do. Only visiting for a week, so time is limited, but if I can help, I'll try my best.
On that note, I now offer spirit readings via skype/Fb for only £25 for at least a half hour, usually more as spirits do like to chat!
I never know how it'll be, but they tend to show me pictures, give me messages, show me memories - anything goes really so loved ones who have passed can let you know they are around for you.
