The end of Minecraft Legends? Microsoft to stop updating block-busting spin-off
After less than a year of active production, it looks like the ender is nigh for spin-off Minecraft Dungeons with the news that the last update – Lost Legends: Snow versus Snouts is to be the final one.
A post shared today on Minecraft.net starts innocently enough with a rundown of what’s to come in the update, but it’s what is underneath that counts with a Developer Update ominously positioned at the foot of the page.
The update reads: “Since launch, we’ve been working hard together with Blackbird Interactive to bring improvements and new features to Minecraft Legends based on your feedback. With Minecraft Legends, we took a completely new approach to gameplay, so much so that we had to make up a new genre for it (kind of): action strategy. Our community has always helped us shape our games and that’s something we value greatly, especially when launching a completely new game. […]
“Since launch, we’ve listened to community feedback and implemented a series of changes and tweaks to make the game better. With that complete, we’re now going to take a step back from development. While we won’t be releasing any new content (i.e. updates, Lost Legends, or Marketplace DLC) for Minecraft Legends, the fun doesn’t stop here. We’ll continue having a blast playing the game alongside our community because those rowdy piglins are showing no signs of slowing down.
Minecraft Legends to remain fully functional“Our existing Lost Legends challenges will remain available for free, and you’ll still be able to reap the rewards if you claim victory. We will of course continue to offer technical support to players, and we won’t be removing any functionalities or features from the game. PvP and co-op will also remain fully functional, so you can continue playing whether you prefer to take on the piglins by yourself or battle alongside (or against) friends.
Thank you for following along this heroic journey and helping us make Minecraft Legends the game it is today.”
Unlike the news earlier about players of Kim Kardashian’s Hollywood being left high and dry after news of the game’s shutdown broke, at least Minecraft Legends will remain playable – at least for now.
When it was announced it was trumpeted as being a great mix of action strategy game and Minecraft, but while Minecraft continues as one of the best videogames ever made, it seems spin-offs do not get the same attention from the gaming public.

President Trump, during his town hall on FOX News, shared that he has already decided who he will pick for his next Vice President.
The topic was brought up when FOX News’s Town Hall moderator Martha MacCallum asked Trump, “If you are the nominee, who would be in the running for Vice President?”
Trump responded, “I can’t tell you that, really.”
The 45th President continued “I know who it’s gonna be. We’ll do another show sometime.”
It’s pretty clear it won’t be spineless turncoat Mike Pence.

Former President Donald Trump said during an Iowa Town Hall event on Fox News Wednesday night that he knows who he will choose as his running mate.
“I can’t tell you that really, I mean, I know who it’s going to be,” Trump said when he was asked who his running mate will be in 2024.
“We’ll do another show sometime,” Trump said when pushed by host Martha MacCallum to “give us a hint.”
Martha MacCallum followed Trump’s response by asking him “What about any of the people who you’ve run against? Would you be open to mending fences with any of them?”
Trump responded, “Oh, sure. I will, I will.”

The 14 new games coming to the PlayStation Plus catalog in less than a week
Sony PlayStation has just announced 14 games that will be arriving as part of the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog. These games are the first to be added since the inaugural lineup was announced just before the new year. There are some big games here so expect to have your free time severely tested. Nine games will arrive on the Extra and Premium tiers and a further five will be on PlayStation Premium and listed as Classics.
Of the major additions, the standouts are Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands which was a fantastic success and set in the Borderlands universe., Meanwhile, if you like your gaming hardcore, Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun will have you screaming at your screen. Speaking of screaming at the screen, you also get Resident Evil 2, which may have you doing the same thing but for different reasons.
Sports fans can take to the skate park in Skate 3, where if you want to get stuck into a building survival game, Surviving the Aftermath should definitely be on your list

These people are insane and dangerous.
The media talks about how concerned they are about misinformation and disinformation, yet Whoopi Goldberg is allowed to spread insane lies like this and no one in the media calls her out for it.

Amazon becomes the first to add Matter casting support
Amazon has become the first to add support for Matter casting, of which they are co-founders, to help users control TVs and streaming devices directly from a connected app, reports The Verge.
In an announcement at CES this week, the online retail and tech giant confirmed that Matter casting support will come to its Prime Video app so users can cast content to other Amazon hardware devices.
It is now available for the Echo Show 15, which is Amazon’s largest smart display, and also a Fire TV, but the company says support will soon be coming to Fire TVs, including Panasonic TVs with Fire TV built-in.
To use this feature, you simply open your Prime Video app on your phone or tablet, tap the cast button, and alongside the other casting options, you will now see the Echo Show 15 as a casting choice if you have one. More apps will be added for support in the coming year, including Plex, Sling TV, Starz, ZDF, and Pluto TV.
Amazon principle engineer Chris DeCenzo told The Verge: “We’ve been developing this over a few years, and we want to put Matter casting everywhere.”
What is Matter Casting?Matter casting works in the same way as Apple’s AirPlay or Google’s Chromecast. Still, its primary USP is that it will be available to every app or hardware maker and will not be limited to a specific OS or exclusive partnerships.
Its goal is to essentially link all devices from all manufacturers via app-to-app communication and even voice control. It would allow users to control their televisions – changing the channels and volume and controlling inputs and outputs, for example – as well as other controllable devices within their homes, such as doorbells, lights, and heating, all via one protocol that allows all products to communicate using the same language.
This removes the current pain points consumers experience when using a variety of products from different manufacturers. For example, you can only cast Apple TV via Apple Airplay — and you can only check your Ring doorbell via Amazon devices or your smartphone or tablet. Matter aims to remove device-restricted casting and usage by linking everything together as one, meaning you could check your Ring doorbell on your smart TV, should you want to.
However, while Apple and Google have their own casting capabilities, there are currently no signs that they intend to implement Matter into their products.
De Cenzo told The Verge that it would be better for the entire industry if these companies were to get on board. “We believe in open standards because it simplifies things for developers,” he said.

Amazfit Helio Ring smart ring announced at CES
Wearables company Zepp has announced the Amazfit Helio Ring, a smart fitness wearable that you wear on your finger.
Rather than going the sleep tracker route like the Oura Ring, the Amazfit brand’s first ever smart ring is focused on athletic performance recovery monitoring. It’ll monitor comprehensive data on the wearer’s mental and physical condition, then supply an intuitive daily Readiness score via a smartphone app.
An athlete will then know whether they should be focusing the day ahead on activity or recovery.
Naturally there’s a full AI ecosystem backing all this up, and Zepp is offering a free three-month trial of its Aura rest and wellness service to anyone who buys the Helio Ring when it launches in March. This includes an AI chatbot (at a premium subscription price) that you can ask about your health, which is so 2024 it hurts.
The Amazfit Helio Ring itself is a simple-looking ring with a 2.6mm-thick titanium alloy external shell. It weighs less than 4g, and swimmers will be pleased to know that it also holds a 10ATM water resistance rating for full immersion at up to 100m.
Zepp claims that the Helio Ring is designed to be complementary to an Amazfit smartwatch like the Amazfit Cheetah Pro, with both devices providing their own forms of data and insight to the Zepp App. It can also be won independently, however.
There’s no specific release date information on the Amazfit Helio Ring right now, nor do we have anything in the way of pricing.

Is this the inconvertible evidence needed to prove the Biden regime colluded with corrupt Fulton Country District Attorney Fani Willis to prosecute Trump?
As the Gateway Pundit’s Cristina Laila previously reported, Willis’ alleged lover Nathan Wade met with the Biden’s White House Counsel multiple times in 2022, before the Trump indictment on bogus charges. Willis hired Wade as a special prosecutor in 2021 and financially benefitted from their relationship, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution.
But it turns out Willis herself flew up to DC and met with the White House on February 28, 2023. The record shows that one of the individuals she apparently met with was Kamala Harris (Note VPOTUS in the record).

There were an astounding 41 charges in total.
Only a fool would think Willis’s meeting with the White House just days after the jury’s recommended indictments was a coincidence. This is almost undoubtedly clear evidence the Regime was keeping tabs and wanted an update.

The Biden administration is set to unveil new cybersecurity requirements for hospitals, as per a recent report by The Messenger. These forthcoming regulations aim to fortify digital defenses in healthcare facilities, ensuring federal funding is contingent on the implementation of basic security measures.
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, a branch of the Department of Health and Human Services, is expected to propose these rules within the next month. These regulations will mandate hospitals to establish fundamental digital security protocols to qualify for federal funding. A senior administration official, speaking on the condition of anonymity, indicated that these requirements are anticipated to be enforced before the year’s end.

The Abode Edge Camera is capable of a 1.5-mile Wi-Fi connection
Outdoor security cameras are a great idea, constantly monitoring your home for intrusion attempts, but poor Wi-Fi connections can mar the experience. This is something that the Abode Edge Camera promises to fix, with its staggering 1.5-mile range.
The camera achieves this staggering distance using a Morse Micro Wi-Fi Certified HaLow SoC. Wi-Fi HaLow runs narrower frequency bands compared to regular Wi-Fi, giving it far greater range, although with lower bandwidths. According to Adode, the technology can “penetrate transmission obstacles and provide unmatched performance, even in noisy environments crowded by multiple devices and cameras”.
Abode believes that its camera will increase placement options and make it easier for households to monitor their homes.
“Nearly every home security camera is facing the wrong direction,” said Chris Carney, Founder and CEO of Abode Systems. “Technology constraints have limited home security cameras in two major ways: a field of view that remains fixed and facing away from the home and rampant connectivity issues if the camera is deployed too far away. In nearly all of these cases, that leaves what matters most – the home – completely out of frame or with an offline camera.”
Although the Wi-Fi standard differs from that used in standard homes, the Abode Edge Camera comes with everything to seamlessly connect it to your home network and manage it through the app, which also controls the Abode Security system.
AI and long battery lifeAn internal 6000mAh battery means that the camera should last for up to one year on a single charge, although installation location and how many times the camera has to record will make a difference.
An integrated Xailient AI chip gives the Abode Edge Camera advanced detection routines on-device, including object detection, facial recognition and anomaly detection.
Cloud recording is available via the Abode Standard Plan ($6.99/£7.99 a month), and via the new single-camera plan ($3.99 a month, with no UK pricing available). The Abode Edge Camera will be available later in Q1 for $199.99, and UK pricing has not yet been announced.
